Mau smirks at the boys final comments "You are a tenacious one, I can see why your mother worries about you." He crouches down closer to eye level with Butt placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, his expression changes to one more stern "These redbrands are not ones to be messed with, we have already had a run in with a couple of their ilk and they are capable fighters. You should avoid them at all cost and keep to your hiding spots." Mau pauses for a moment his features soften again "It sounds like you are quite capable in the shadows, perhaps once this redbrand menace has been dealt with I can show you a couple of things."
"Well done small one ..you have the abilities of a hunter..now as long as we deal with those cretins you should guard your house and your family " says Krull with a grin..looking at the others he says "now do we have a plan and if yes what that would be? What about setting the Manor on fire?that would flash them out "
"Hey small guy do you know anything about innocent people inside the Manor?" asks Krull while looking at Wolfe quite dissatisfied with his suggestion..he adds "only animals and kids are innocent Wolfe..we are all guilty of something..but perhaps yeah we should look if there are people there that are no Redbrands( he means irrelevant )"
Butt tells you he's never went in the manor (yet - nursing a bad sprained ankle at the moment). Hi eyes widens at the idea of prisoners inside, "Do you think they might be holdin' anyone? There was a couple disappearances a while back!"
"No, please, hold on the both of you, I just said that there might be people not deserving to be burned alive in that manor. Although I wouldn't be surprised if we were to find prisoners in there, especially if there have been disappearances. Now Butt, could you describe then how we can find that entrance in the woods you just told us about." Wolfe says, trying to keep his calm.
Butt looks at you wide-eyed, "So you'll burn the deserving ones alive then? Wow, cool. My mom always said no one deserves to be burned alive...boy, wait 'til I tell her otherwise - straight from the mouths of real adventurers!"
"Yes, yes, your mom is right of course Butt, now what about helping out us real adventurers?" Wolfe says, stil trying to keep his calm
"Oh, right. Sure, I can take you there if you want. He looks you up and down. Are you sure you want to go there? I mean, I'M not scared or anything, but some people might be,"he looks sideways at Krull.

Rabbit stays to talk to the woman after Wolfe steps away. "Curious what your proposition might be, we're certainly open to helping. You have issues with those Redbrands here? Or something else?"

"Sildar came and saw me, fine young chap - and not bad on the eyes if you get my meaning," she grins and coughs. "Anyways, we go way back. Did you know he used to ride them griffons in the calvary up in Waterdeep? What a magnificent specimen he was, shining armor, strong jaw, muscles everywhere...." Qelline seems to lose herself a bit before shaking her head back to the present. "Anwyas, he made mention of a place you're trying to find, Cragmaw Castle and some strange cave. I don't know where they are - no clue - but I have a good friend who might. He knows every inch of this land. His name is Reidoth and he's a druid. He left a while ago, set out for the ruins of a town called Thundertree. That's about 50 miles or so northwest of here."
Qelline gives you good directions to the place and you're pretty sure you could find it easily enough, if you wanted to.
"No, he's not scared, even when he should be." Wolfe says calmly. "So how far is it to that entrance in the woods?"
"Not that far, 500 feet or so past the farm," he points in the distance to the northeast. "Do you want a guide or what?" He looks around and spots his mother talking to Rabbit. "Oh, uh, just between us adventurers, eh? I don't want mother to know. I'd never leave this damned field if she found out."
"Certainly young sir, I will personally donate these 5 goldpieces to this young brave adventurer, who still has a few years before he will travel the world."Wolfe says and gives Butt 5 gp, which is most likely way too much, but Wolfe doesn't really care.
Butt's mouth hangs open and his eyes go wide as dinner plates, and he stuffs the gold into his pockets. He looks at you with his shiny big eyes, full of awe and admiration. "Y-yes sir! I-I will c-certainly!" He proceeds to tell you how to get there in exacting detail: how to choose the best crossing points for the small streams, how to avoid the brambles, how to look for the signs that he created so he wouldn't get lost, and the tell-tale large shrug (looks like a big boob) that he hid in when he came upon the bandits that one time, coming out of the tunnel. "Thank you, m-mister! Good luck!"
"Well, thanks, that's useful information." Rabbit says gratefully. "What is Thundertree like? Farming town like here?"
Qelline looks sad. "No, young lady. When the mountain exploded some 30-40 years ago, Thundertree was destroyed in the process. Used to be a good town, wood and trapping, hunting out there. After that explosion, lots of weird stuff happened out there - zombies, undead, and the like. Haven't heard much out of there - Reidoth used to talk about it a lot, how the land was reclaiming its space, or some such nonsense. Not my cup of tea, I'm just a farmer and live by the will of Chauntea - the Earthmother."
"And good luck to you young sir." Wolfe says with a bow before returning to Rabbit. When she is finished with Qelline he bids the halfling a good day. He then gathers the team and informs everyone that was not present of what Butt has told him and suggests that they perhaps are ready to take on the Redbrands now.

"Well, do we need a guide do you think or can you simply explain how we can find it young sir?" Wolfe asks politely.
"Of course I can explain it. First though," Butt holds out his hand. "Think of it as a donation to a fellow adventurer!"
