(Hopefully, I'm not taking too much liberty here...)
(Not too much liberty, since it kept things moving. Sorry I didn't post sooner. But it makes no sense for Edrik to give over his Theives' Tools when he can use them himself. I guess it's good to preserve Faloniir's good roll too. Also mechanics question - why is Sleight of Hand being used for Thieves' Tools? It would be a Dexterity Ability roll with +2 from proficiency. Unless the DM has changed this. The Player's Handbook specifically lists "Pick a lock" as "Other Dexterity Checks" and not Sleight of Hand. I'm not sure exactly how Falorniir is using it, but I guess if you get bonus from Sleight of Hand AND the Tools that would be to my advantage too!)
"All right, give me back my tools!" Edrik says bluntly to Faloniir as he continues to hang on to his Thieves' Tools and use them. He grumbles and shakes his head. "My goodness, if you can't keep track of your own why would I let you take mine!"
He also takes a look around, trying to stay alert for any signs of danger. (Perception: 20)
Edrik retrieves her thieves' tools from Faloniir and stands nearby as the wood elf investigates the sounds coming from behind cell door B. While standing near cell door C, Edrikpicks up the unmistakable scent of death: something, or someone, is rotting within that cell.
Upon hearing the repetitive sound of likely a human or humanoid creature trapped behind door B, Rasp's longsword and shield raised in a defensive posture as he, once again, assumed a position on the frontline of the party. Lack of communication implied the creator of the noise could not communicate in one way or another - and judging by the previous skeletons unearthed by the party's meddling, Rasp would wager the wordless being was some sort of animated skeleton as well.
"Skeleton," Rasp pointed towards Door B. "I advise caution," is all the usually silent Kenku offered. "We are here on a mission. Our goal is to steal a book. The Harpers are distracting the lich. We should simply move on." Rasps's words combined snippets of many of the party's speeches - giving the considerably formidable Kenku a rather intimidating, ominous appearance. Even if the person banging to be freed was alive, the Harpers could deal with them later - obtaining the lich's phylactery took priority.
Matthias was toward the end of the group, quiet and bow at the ready as they enter the hall with strange doors. Upon hearing the possibility of people behind these doors, as well as Rasp, he'd nod his head. "Feathers is right. We have our job, we didn't get harmed yet so we gotta keep steady if there is a lich is around." Besides, I'm winning this contest... He'd think to himself, smirking.
Faloniir will leave the door alone and move on with the rest of the group, "Agreed. This doesn't feel right..." he says to Rasp as he turns from the door. Faloniir nods at the Kenku and says, "Right behind you friend."
Edrik gives the door a stare as everyone seems to be ready to just leave whatever is behind it alone. "I smell death and rot beyond that door." He finally gives a sigh, "I am loathe to leave what may be a suffering being behind. But you are right, the Harpers can take care of it once we've done our part. And we should move quickly." Giving the door one last look he says, "Let's move on."

"It didn't call out -- Rasp is right, it may be another skeleton, or some other undead," Eldeth says. "We can try and come back this way," she adds. Is there another exit to the dungeon?
In case she needs to look for a hidden door, perception (add 4 if it should be investigation): 19
Barkas catches up, listening to the back and forth. “Rasp is right. Let’s keep moving.” He brings out his star map to look for “guidance”, but says “We are way off the map here. Sorry that I can’t help more but I did not foresee this..”.
The pounding and scratching on the door continues as the party begins to file out of the narrow hallway. Eldethscrutinizes the walls for any sign of a hidden exit but finds nothing. There is but one way in and out of this area.
Inexplicably and suddenly, each of the party members, individually, senses that something, or someone, is attempting to communicate telepathically with them. The communication isn't comprised of words per se, but an image and feelings. The image is that of a tiny reddish-brown dragon enclosed in small room made of stone. The feelings are akin to loneliness and sorrow.
Faloniir will stop and turn to the others, "Did you all see that? I saw something... Felt something..." He will then back track and stand close to each of the doors in the hall way to see if the telepathic communication gets any stronger when he is near any of them.
Is there a check Faloniir could make to attempt to determine where the telepathic communications are coming from?
Edrik nods as well after Faloniir mentions the feeling he got. "Me too, an image almost as well. Could that be what's behind our door? Maybe it has no language but still is intelligent." Having now hesitated his conviction to move on has been battered. "Maybe we should try to open the door up and see?"
He will wait to see what the rest think. But does what he can to assist Faloniir's investigation. (Can provide a HELP action if appropriate.)
Pinpointing the cause, or the location of the cause, of the telepathic images doesn't seem possible. You sense they could be coming from something a few feet away or a hundred feet away. As the image of the tiny dragon fades away, a second image begins to take shape in everyone's mind: another small room made of stone, but this one is filled with severed hands crawling about.
Faloniir will visibly recoil at the disturbing image, "What in the nine hells... Let's just keep moving shall we? We can clear the rest of these rooms out once we've found the phylactery. People are risking their lives to give us every second we've got."
Eldeth will try and send an image and emotion back -- the hallway of the dungeon, and searching, or curiosity. "It's possible," she agrees with Edrik. Is there room under the door to slide a mirror?
She shudders as the second sensation comes through. "Ugh. Maybe if the little dragon could serve as a guide -- I don't want to come across that room."
Matthias huffs, coping with the images flashing in his mind and grips his bow tightly, trying to keep focus what's happening now than the images. "It has to be some sort of magic from the lich. It's probably doing this to the Harpers to distract them as they fight and we're getting a bit of it all the way down here." He mutters, following the group with Rasp in the lead. "Can anyone here sense magics that doesn't involve zoning-out for ten minutes so Eldeth doesn't exhaust herself?"
Eldethattempts to reach out mentally to whatever is placing these thoughts and feelings into the minds of the party, but she receives no indication that her efforts are successful.
Another image flashes into the mind of each party member: the pseudodragon being thrown into a stone room by a withered, wrathful woman draped in black robes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Barkas senses it and pauses, goes to each door and reaches out with his mind, trying to connect with the creature and determine where he is. “Where are you, how can I help?” he sends out. Any rolls, if applicable:

"Is it possible that the book is in one of these cells, or should we just move on entirely?" Eldeth asks.
