Seeing the feral toymakers attack the group the little gnome girl with her eyes very wide will back up a little bit further and will raise her hand towards the one that Elafir hit and unleashes 2 greenish blasts of energy towards it

For the first time you all hear the little gnome girl speak as she sees the toymaker decimated "Oh no, no. I didnt mean to!" as tears begin to run down her face to turns towards the other toymakers attacking the rest of her group. She reaches into her pouch and pulls out a small tulip that appears to be made of gold and speaks some words in druidicas she traces some symbol in the air with her finger.
The air next to her shimmers and brightens as a small dryad like creatures steps out of the light. "Help them please!!"
It looks the the gnome girl and with an angry frown nods to her then vanishes in a puff of mist (using [Tooltip Not Found]) and appears directly behind the toymakers. Pulling out a shortsword it had in a scabbard on its hip it will make a strike at the one attacking Ursula first(with advantage) then a strike at the one attacking Xal.

Elafir sees the toymaker that attacked him before go down in a bloody mist. He is shocked, as he didn't intend to kill any of them. Thomas said those were his friends and after all they did not know why they attacked the group of strangers.
While distracted by his thoughts he did not see the other gnome coming. The mad toymaker claws into his leg. "Ouch!" Elafir exclaims, more surprised than hurt. He tries to first poke at the toymaker using the butt of his glaive and then swing the handle into his side.

Xalanthias over reaches with his attack, misses and leaves himself open to the onrushing bad toymakers, taking a gash across his back from one of their claws. "Argh!", he exclaims as the painful blow hits.
He turns around and strikes once more for one of the bad toymakers, bringing his staff over his head and down onto theirs, trying to knock it unconscious with his magically imbued staff.
As he does so he sees that one of the bad toymakers has been killed, and a Dryad has joined the fray on their side, attacking lethally with a sword. "Be careful, things aren't as they seem and our enemies might be innocents in all this!", he shouts.
Attack: 8 Damage: 6 (bludgeoning non lethal - as you said this is fine for melee)
A LGG summoned fey spirit of anger removes two Toymaker heads, Elafir misses twice, and Xalanthias clocks the remaining one, which scrambles back and flees, ducking behind a house and scurrying away into the softly drifting snow.
In the aftermath of battle, you have one sleeping Bad Toymaker, one knocked out Bad Toymaker, three dead Bad Toymakers, and one Good Toymaker vomiting all over the ground, some of it splashing on the blood stained snow. The scent of cookies, peppermint and stomach acid wafts on the wind.
"T-they.. they would have killed us or worse... I... c'mon. Before Jimmy returns with more."
Thomas staggers unsteadily to his feet and starts old man running up the hill towards the workshop.
Similar in design to the other workshops in the town, the Winter Father's Workshop is much grander and more intricately designed. Arcane lights flicker and fade seemingly at random across the walls. Carvings of beautiful Elven trees and snow capped mountains line the outside. Thomas steps ahead of you and pulls on a hidden cord within the wall carvings. The doors ahead click open and he beckons you to follow.
Inside you see barricades and defenses simply made, but effective, many of them seeming repurposed from other items. A partial rocking horse here, a set of train cars stacked like bricks there. Toymakers of all ages are scattered throughout, some of them sitting and eating, while others are working on building things, the sounds of tapping and sawing filling the air. They all stop as you enter, two dozen elvish and gnomish faces turning towards you, but Thomas calms them. "They are friends! Here to save us all!"
He wipes at his mouth.
The great workshop takes up almost the entirety of the floor ahead. Workbenches still remain, but many have been used to block up windows, doorways and a set of stairs at the back of the building leading up. Thomas guides you forward and sits you by a fire. As you sit, the Toymakers surrounding the fire offer you food and water.
Since the first toymaker went down the little gnome girl has had tears freely running down her face. As the group sits around the fire she is keeping back in a corner crying while the small dryad tries to console her before it begins to glow a bit then vanishes.
Thomas find a clean towel, coming over offer it to dab LGG's tears.
"There, there my dear. It was unfortunate, but you may have saved us all. They aren't in their right minds, and while I think they can be saved, if they kill us all first, there won't be anyone to save the rest."
