“I believe this would be the place. If it were the Lost and Found, it would be in an amazing location. Before we continue any further…what does your flute look like? It would be nice to have a description of what we are looking for.”
Pishon looks around for a adult to talk to. Preferably the one who runs the Lost Property
As you approach the large grey whiskered feline, one of the boys picks up a mirrored ball from the lost property wagon. As quick as a flash the cat snatches the ball back with a snarl and a flick of its tentacle causing the young child to dash away in fright. The other child also starts to cry.
"Hush hush Allowin, you know the Lost Property wagon is not a safe place to play, now what am I to do, your mother will be back soon with the food and drink and this simple task has turned into a complicated headache" The cat turns towards Pishon and Nar'Vek and the small group with them "Yes yes this is Lost Property but as you can see I've managed to loose that which was found"she glanced in the direction the young boy ran off in. "What is a cat supposed to do?"
Pishon looks to the person who was talking to the feline and says “that is a beautiful cat you have there. Hopefully it doesn’t eat us! Haha…” Pishon then notices how weird that sounds and his face drops. “Please except my apologies! I didn't mean that he..or she..or whatever it is would eat us when the opportunity arose, just that it wouldn’t be hard for it to eat us!” Pishon is now completely embarrassed.
(I was cringing the whole time I was writing this lol.)
((I believe it is the cat which is speaking to us?))
"What was the cat supposed to do?" Nar'Vek asks, poking Pishon with her elbow.
"Do you say that you lost all of the lost property? Was it that little that it could get lost?" Nar'Vek asks, confusion evident in her voice. "Can it be found again? For I surely was hoping a flute I lost last time I was at the carnival might be here..."
Nar'Vek looked at Pishon and remembered their earlier question. "It was just a flute, nothing fancy or magical or such. But it was my fathers... And I shouldn't have had it... so finding it means the world to me..."

looks around and realizing the cat is speaking says “How can we help you? After we help you, we’re looking for a flute and I’m looking for my sister. I’m hoping you can help us. “
The cat eyes you all up and considers her next words carefully, as the Lost and Found cat she is somewhat embarrassed at having lost Viro, the little boy who ran off when she snatched the mirrored ball back.
If you wouldn’t mind looking for Viro, I cannnot leave Allowin on his own, I would be most grateful, then perhaps I can help you find the things you may have lost, or at least suggest where to look next, this is a strange place on even a good day and things can be hard to find
Usagi lays his hand on the shoulder of Nar'Vek. "Friend, this carnival has the touch of the fey all about it. Making deals with fey rarely goes as you would intend it to. Choose your words carefully."
Pishon - while the feline is preoccupied speaking to Nar’Vek, you sneak a quick peek under the wagon canvas, small things glitter and shine, amongst larger objects such as bags, hats, coats, balls and shoes! Nothing stands out as significantly special it all looks quite old and drab
Garwin as Usagi lays his hand on the shoulder of Nar’Vek, you sense a slight change in the atmosphere, almost as if the Carnival is irritated by Nar’Veks comment, it’s hard to put into words but the feeling is ever so slightly uncomfortable
The cat directs her gaze at Nar’Vek, “You clearly, my little friend, don’t understand this place, you would be wise to heed your companion here, no bargains can be made that good can come from, tread carefully and remember where you are……..”. The cat looks as if she is about to say more and then resolutely decides against it.
Nar’Vek nods to Usagi that she understands but turns a fierce glance back to the cat. “I am not your friend, and you started the offer of a deal, just with the wrasely ‘perhaps’ thrown in so you didn’t have to hold up your end!” She literally stomps here foot for emphasis.
“I’m here for just one purpose, to find the flute that was stolen from me last time I was here. If you cannot help then I see no reason I should help you…”

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Garwin moves in-between (if possible) and holding up each arm/hand at a 45 degree angle (ish) and says "Please" looking at both with a soft but slightly pleading, slightly firm tone, "we do not want to start up anything. It appears that we are here to find things; a flute, a child, a sister, ...Can we just help each other without legalities and strings?" Persuasion: 4
Pishon walks over to Nar’Vek and whispers “umm…there seems to be no flute in the wagon. I think this is a dead end. I suggest that before we upset the…creature…we should start to look somewhere else”
Garwin as you stand between Nar’Vek and the cat you again get a very odd feeling of uncomfortableness, it’s hard to pin point but it makes you feel ever so slightly sad, as if the place itself is reflecting back Nar’Vek’s spat at the cat.
‘Enough’ she hisses angrily at Nar’Vek, then turns her attention to Pishon, Have you heard of the saying cats got your tongue? If I find your nose in my business again, she glances across to her wagon, I will be keeping that too!
Nar’Vek starts to chime in, but holds herself back at the last moment. She’s in a mood and she’s recognizing it’s not helping right now. It’s just so unfair, she got so excited to see there was a lost and found but it’s apparently not the same as they have back home… She’s getting the sense they just hoard the lost stuff here without ever returning it!
Fine, she thinks. She’ll just let the others distract the cat and she’ll sneak into the wagon once they do. She’ll steal her fathers flute back if that’s what it takes!
“I’m sorry,” she says to Garwin while looking down at her feet. “I just got too anxious and excited. We’ll be happy to help! Just tell us what to do!”
Nar’Vek will then hush up and try to go unnoticed for a while… biding her time.
