"Tinkerer," Ambre says. "Dad doesnt like the word inventor, he thinks it's too stuffy. I dont really mind though, I just like building stuff and figuring out how things work."
"I don't mind at all," Arvol says. "Happy to help. In fact..." Here he hesitates a moment before continuing, his words spilling out rather quickly. "I'd be happy to try and teach you some Elvish, Aithne. And maybe you could teach me Primordial? If you're interested." He tries to balance the stack of books carefully while glancing over to see what Aithne is doing with her robe.
Once she takes the books back, he watches her sit down and comes over to watch what she and Ambre are doing. "Oh yea, that is quite a collection of... things," Avrol says, echoing Aithne's comment.
"I'm envious." Having collected all the books, notebooks, scrolls and similar that she could find amongst the scattered belongings, Aithne dug into her component pouch and withdrew a pair of worn gray stones. She cradled them in the palm of one hand and brushed her thumb back and forth over their surfaces as she set to examining the items she'd selected.
A gentle touch and a soft murmur of spellcraft accompanied her as she sifted through the texts one at a time, correcting bent spines, torn pages, and dented corners with the aid of magic. "I can understand artisan workings. I could quote the name of every tool needed to perform a set task. I could even describe their purpose. But to actually create something?"
Aithne shook her head woefully. "I have no talent for such things."
Arvol jumps in immediately, "Oh Aithne, I'm sure you have lots of other talents. All the languages you know, all the books you've read. It's pretty impressive."
Aithne laughed, peering up at Avrol. "Don't worry for me. I know my talents lie elsewhere. It would be nice to know how to better work with my hands, though."
She lifted a scroll, carefully unrolling the brittle document and murmured the spellword to send her power through the paper, fusing the damaged edges and straightening the wrinkled page. Once finished, she rolled it neatly and set it aside.
"If you believe you'd have time to tutor me, I would love to learn another language." Her eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Elven is the most common tongue used in scripting within the last five centuries. It would save me unimaginable time to be able to read and write their symbology."
"Great!" Arvol says, quite enthusiastically. "Since our class schedules line up, I'm sure it will be easy to figure out a time to get together to study languages then! Should be fun!" He then laughs, "I'd offer to help you learn some craft, but I really don't know anything. Sorry."
Noticing the conversation drifting off to studying languages Aelyn sat down cross legged by the others and started playing some soft chords on his lute, humming something sweet sounding as he observed the interactions between Arvol and Aithne. "So, is there a spot open for the primordial class?" He said casually, glancing over to gauge the reactions of Arvol and Aithne.
"Found it! For real this time!" Ambre triumphantly holds up a leather bound book full of random colored bits of paper. "One copy of Practical Uses for Impractical Spells. Sorry about the mess, I tend to leave all my notes in the book as im reading..."
Flying slowly into the Biblioplex is a Tan and Brown feathered Owlin with a grim look on his face. As he sees the obvious professor he states "Forgive my tardiness, Professor. We had a last-minute funeral to perform and so my transportation was delayed a bit. Their should be no more intrusions upon my study."
"Practical use of Impractical spells. So who's the author, a famous wizard perhaps?" Aelyn asks.
As the owlin arrives Aelyn stands up. "My condolences." He says to the owlin with a slight bow. "And don't worry about being late. I'm Aelyn." He says, glancing over to the others to welcome the newcomer.
"That's a fantastic question," Ambre flips the book open to check, only for the Owlin to arrive. "Oh, hi!" She waves, before sweeping up all her belongings into her bag haphazardly so they can get moving.
"If you'd be interested in learning Primordial, Aelyn, I'm quite happy to teach both of you." Aithne looked very pleased at all the interest shown in her impromptu class. "I believe I even have my notes and study guides from when I was learning. Getting the accent correct is the hardest part, I would say. Primordial is a very, ah, gutteral language."
Aithne practically squeaked with happiness when Ambre produced the book, clapping her hands with pure delight. "Oh. I don't mind. Truly. Notes and other such things just mean that the book has been educational, which is its purpose." She stowed the pair of gray stones back into her component pouch and handed over the stack of materials she'd sorted and repaired so Ambre could return them to her bag.
Her consideration over what to sort next was interrupted by the arrival of the final student. Aithne rose from her seated position on the ground and patted dust from the legs of her trousers, offering a smile to the newcomer. "We're glad you're here. I'm Aithne."
"Well, thank you Aithne, I hope I can find some way to be of service to you too. I'm afraid I'm rather thinly read compared to the rest of you but I have some practical skills that might be to your pleasing at some point. If you would ever find the time for just entertaining yourself look no further." Aelyn nodded and smiled at the aasimar.
While the others introduced themselves, Aithne shrugged her pack back onto her shoulders, then gathered up her books and robe. With her arms full, there was no way for her to pull the robe back on without setting the books down; something which she refused to do. Still, she seemed unbothered by the adjustment, simply holding both cradled against her torso.
"You're wonderfully kind for offering, but I'm alright." Aithne smiled at Aelyn, then directed that look of happiness at the tomes she was holding. "I'm quite used to hauling books about." She giggled, the sound soft and brief. "You might say its my specialty. Quite useful for a book clerk, no?"
"I guess so." Aelyn scratched his head over taking on that particular chore. "Perhaps you would allow me instead to teach you the basics of the unseen servant spell. Might be useful for a book clerk, possibly saving that sweet back of yours Aithne."He said with a kind smile.

"So, perhaps we should get on with that tour now Professor Sharpbeak?" Aelyn suggests to their counselor.
