Hearing Otis’ instructions and seeing Falken follow toward the outside behind Roy, Gillian doubles back to even the odds on the search. “OK i’m coming back to you” he telepaths to Otis.
Having only made it 30 ft outward, he doubles back at dash speed. Entering the room he actively searches for clues in the oppsite direction as Otis’ acrobatic search.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Moving into the backroom Grahl will make sure to give Otis a boost to get up through the window before moving back towards the exit. Leaving the investigation to the others.
When outside he will check to see where the ones going outside are moving towards. If nobody was seen running away i assume everyone will stay near the building looking for clues.
Grahl will try to find nearby people that might of seen anything or perhaps spot someone running away. He wont run after just anyone just yet and make sure people are calm before continuing.
Otis jumps and hurls himself towards the window as Grahl tucks himself under and grabs out, latching on to whatever he can and assisting by throwing the monk towards the window. Otis flies through the window like an arrow and drops to the ground on the other side in a roll, coming back up on his feet poised and ready.
Otis: You look around to see astonished villagers that just saw you come hurtling out of the window. Nearby, standing on the steps of the temple of Bahamut, a dragonborn woman you recognize as Priestess Emerita looks over at you and points around the left side of the town hall, "That way, someone in shiny armor!"
Everyone else that went outside: You see several villagers standing outside talking excitedly and pointing to where Otis has landed outside the window.
Falken: You see several rocks you think will work for you nearby stacked around some hedges around the town hall.
Gillian: As Farthran ushers the elders into the other room for their own protection, you enter the storage room again and taking a better look you see a couple of drops of blood on the floor away from the window around some large collections of boxes.
Otis sprints (dash) around the left side of the town hall while he bellows, both out loud and projected in his mind for Gillian," Priestess Emerita reports someone in shiny armor going around the left side of the hall. Grahl circle the hall the opposite way of Roy."
Otis barrels around the corner looking for movement, cover, or a way up the town hall building, wishing he had the luxury of proceeding with care.
Gillian returns Otis’ thought with another, “might be someone still in here as well; if assassination is their goal. Hate splitting up the team, but you’re gonna have to send at least 1 of us back my way until we know what’s what. You and Roy stay with the runner.”
Gillian follows the blood trail around the boxes, prepared to cast a sleep on anyone who lunges at him or points a weapon or casting hand his way.
He ponders his situation… if it’s only 1 culprit with a lesser constitution, a [sleep] should knock them out, but if it’s more…
he takes an opportunity to become hidden and stealth before he comes around the boxes: [stealth 9 ]
As everyone outside follows, Otis pours on the speed and gains ground on the runner and sees someone dressed in very odd and shiny armor that looks semi translucent. You can see the dark shape of a figure inside at certain points, but the sun shining down gives the majority of the armor a glaring white brilliance depending on which way the figure is turned.
As you follow, the figure turns and cuts between two buildings only to stop as there is a semi-newly constructed wall sealing off the way through at the end. The running figure slows to a stop and turns around in defeat. It's arms come up in a guarded stance and each gauntlet ends in five very pointy claw like appendages.
Gillian (and Falken?):
As you come around the other side of the boxes, you hear a voice saying over and over, "I don't want t-to be here, why d-did he take them..... I-I just want them back..."
You come around the boxes and you find a man you slightly recognize as Brendan one of the local farmers curled up on the other side, rocking himself back and forth as he repeats the phrase over and over. He has small cuts around his neck at different points and his hands are bleeding. He doesn't even look up at you as you come up to him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Falken follows the voice, and as he turns the corner, he sees Brendan. He walks up, and places a hand on Brendan's shoulder. "Are you okay kiddo? Are you hurt?" He makes sure that Brendan is okay first before further asking questions.
If Brendan Is Hurt:
Falken will say in a calming voice. "Everything will be okay Brendan." and with that, Falken's palm will begin to glow, a bright light peeking out from between his fingers.
As Grahl goes around the other side on Otis's request they reach the start of the deadend alley.
With his shield already out he moves himself halfway in front of Otis as they move towards the figure, taking out his hammer just in case leaving the talking up to the other chattier companions.
Grahl will focus on readying his shield to block any attack should the figure try something. He glances at Otis and Roy to see if they recognize him.
"Nice bit of magic you have there, but sunlight doesn't pass through real armor.", Otis will say out loud to the strange individual, and to Gillian in his head, while approaching, hands up in front of his chest, open palms towards the the stranger. From the waist up Otis appears to be unarmed and unready, placating even, but his feet keep spread attack width and his trailing leg only comes up to meet his lead leg as he moves forward, never passing his lead leg.
"Look, I'm sure you weren't looking for trouble. Just curious. Why don't you come back into the hall and explain it to the elders. They'll understand your curiosity.", Otis will continue in a calm voice keeping his eyes locked on the armored head of the stranger where the eyes should be, while Grahl moves just in front of him on his right and Roy comes up behind him on his left.
"To be honest with you, your going to explain to them any way this goes. Better for you to come on your own volition than appear forced by us. I am certain your capable, but its three against one, here. Roy, Grahl, if it comes to a fight strike to subdue. They answer to the council, no matter the cost.", Otis explains very carefully while trying to persuade the stranger to come willingly and buy time for old Klok to catch up.
Gillian hears the words and focuses in on Brendan’s mind, bonding telepathically to him anew: “what did he take? What is missing? The truth now, you are safe if you did nothing wrong.”
Seeing Falken mothering him, out loud Gillian adds, “what’s yours is yours, tell us what we’re looking for, we are here to help.” He keeps it in mind that anything could be a trap, so keeps his casting hand at attention.
Klok finally catches up with the younglings who have cornered a person who looks ready to fight. Klok stands behind the younglings and prepares himself
Outside group: The armored figure looks back and forth between you as you speak, the light glinting brightly off it's form. Then suddenly it jerks its head back in the direction of the town hall as the shiny arms slowly fall down to its sides and its head falls forward as if it is asleep on its feet.
Gillian:
As you make contact with Brendan's mind, you are greeted with a rapid series of thoughts. "Nononnono, don'ttouchme,don'ttouchmeplease..."
At this point your mind is forcefully pushed out resulting in a splitting headache on your part.
Falken:
As soon as you make physical contact with Brendan, his head snaps up and he stares at you hatefully. On his forehead has been carved an arcane symbol which begins to glow with a bright light.
Gillian & Falken:
The light flashes blindingly before burning out causing your eyes to sting and:
The armor is semi translucent, but not fully, and the bright light of the sun makes it hard to keep your eyes on. The body you can't really tell much about, but the head seems to have a dark silhouette inside.
Roy:
You focus on the world around you and let your senses attempt to detect something or anything about the figure standing before you, but you get nothing from who or whatever this thing is.
Gillian feels the pain in his mind from Brendan’s forceful exile, and stumbles back 5ft. Still in visible distance of the pair, he focuses to cast [mind sliver] at him, hoping to weaken his mental acuity. After casting, he backs up 20 more feet from where he started, disappearing behind the stacks, and moving himself roughly 40 ft away from Brendan and Falken.
Taking cover behind the shelves, he considers his options… he’d need more space between the two of them to successfully cast [sleep] without accidentally putting down Falken.

Both attacks lash out at Grahl, but he brings his shield up both times, easily catching the clawed gauntlets on them and pushing them to the side.
With his shield in front of him Grahl hears the scraping sound of the figures claws running across his shield. Glad to have been able to block the attacks from reaching any of the others he pushes the shield forward a bit.
I dont think this one is coming with us peacefully he says as he finishes the blocking movement.
Grahl then lowers the shield slightly and moves it sideways to make room for his warhammer. With a firm grip he moves his arm in a stabbing motion trying to drive the blunt part of the hammer into the armored figures body.
As he moves his arm back to pull his hammer closer to him his shield fills in the gap again to try and block the figures counter.

Klok arrives out back just in time to see Otis dash around the opposite side of the building. Klok will follow Otis as best as his old legs can.
Falken heads over to the hedges and grabs the bigger of the rocks and heads back over to the group.
"I can stay back, but I'll not too good at hand to hand combat, despite the excellent training we've received."

“You have some explaining to do. Identify yourself.”
Roy clutches at where his amulet rests beneath his armor, and reaches for insight into the strange figure. Divine sense.
