Zanvoril moves over to the new halfling and bows, smiling broadly as he takes her hand, "Greetings fair Gellis, it is truly an honor to meet another brave compatriot in our glorious cause! My name is Zanvoril, may the fates smile on the wonderous occasion!"
As he bows and takes her hand, he creates a small shower of rainbow colored sparks to rain down around the two of them for just a moment. (Prestidigitation)
Charisma: 17
Gellis is pretty stoic-faced but smirks a bit at Zanvoril's display. Surprisingly she is not as impressed by the illegal display of magic as he would have expected. She mumbles a short prayer and touches Zanvoril's shirt, causing it to glow.
Xev'ren's absence hits the gofer hard, for someone he spent a few moments with. Maybe something from a previous life, or just the dynamics of enslaved society - you make friends fast or never at all. He introduces himself to Gelles and adds Labor shared is halved, freedom shared is doubled
He updates all and sundry; clearly some info got thru since we are meeting at a place he found. He asks the leadership team Are we going back? Are we fighting? Do these effing collars come off? I don't really know how I left things at the stables
At Bayut's claims of labor and freedom, she looks skeptical.
Whytefern opens his hands, palm up in a gesture of uncertainty. "We suffer to remain in place but will be exposed if we roam the city uncollared. Once we deal with...Gellis, was it?...then we will get down to business."
With her skeptical response, and getting the gist of the sitch, Bayut adds Wait, you were not recruited? And if here not to work for freedom, why? he moves between her and the door, just in case And why do we trust you?

"You can trust me to look out for myself. I wanted to see if you," she says, nodding to Lia, "had something real behind all your sneaking around. This is it, though?"
She crosses her arms, a very slight scowl of disappointment on her lips. Whytefern frowns in response. "Well, we recruit her or..."
"Or what?" she says. "Kill me?"
Whytefern frowns even deeper.
"I'm not going to share your secret," Gellis says after a weighty pause. "And I'll go if you want me to go. But I would like to see where you are going with this."
(Thought she had no relationship to Lia... She wouldn't know about Lia's sneaking around if she was not the halfling from her farm...)
"I don't know you, or these others frankly." Lia says, nodding to the halfling, then to everyone else. "These others have proven useful, and that is far more important to me right now than trust." She shrugs. "I frankly don't trust any of you at this point yet, but at least these others have proven they can do more than simply barging into a meeting you have not been invited to." She eyes the halfling. "What can you give to this work, and why should we bother to keep you involved in what is going on." Turning to the group-at-large. "If some strange halfling can simply walk into our meeting, then I don't see how this can work out in the long run. What is to keep others from doing the same? I might be better going my own way after all, as this seems very badly exicuted. Things were looking more careful than this, up to this point, well-concealed message options, plans that allowed the group to all do things to add to the whole, but this..." She eyes the halfling again. "This puts most of the work at risk, and I need some assurance steps will be made to keep our meetings more private in the future."
Sure, people who are to be free ought not to kill another lightly, but "see where we are going" is bollox. It is all the risk of someone getting caught, for what? If you feel no commitment then you are a burden and a danger. If your liberation is tied to ours, then welcome, sister, and lend a hand

Zanvoril makes calming gestures to everyone, "Oh come on now, please, she wouldn't be here if she wasn't going to help us, my destiny wouldn't allow something like that. I'm sure she's just a little shy and just as nervous about you as you are about her. You saw she can do magic, right? I'm certain she'll be of great help to us." The honest sincerity in his voice is almost painfully clear to everyone present.

Zanvoril smiles cheerfully at the others, "What do you mean? Isn't it a good thing to have another loyal ally?"
"I agree," Elsol speaks up. "Anyone with us is appreciated."
