Bryella laughs as Noey scoops her up in a hug, "Yeah, well, I don't always think before I act" she says with a shrug. "But yes, drinks sound good. Great thinking on levitating that chest - pretty cool trick!"
Noey gives an aw shucks gesture, "Eh, that's been a thing I've been able to do since I was a kid, but it takes it out of me. Was no good for pranks, cause I'd lift the guard's horse onto the second floor and then be too tuckered out to run away, and they'd just find me there with the horse, wheezing on the floor."

Amber goes to examine the chest to see if it’s full of LARP costumes.

She finds a multitude of assorted costumes within the chest. She also notices a strange goopy black substance that seems to be rubbed over its exterior.

Noey comes over and leans down to peer at it. She glances at Amber, who is right there, coughs, stands up and gives very exaggerated"Eww!"then grabs the owlin instructor, herding him towards the chest (and between her and Amber). "What do you do, grease your chests?" she points from behind him.

"You would have to ask the equipment managers. It might be a conditioner for the wood."

Rhydian peers curiously into the chest at the costumes. "I don't think that sort of goop is normal for mimics, and you don't usually see anything like that on a traveling chest. Maybe they tried to varnish it and didn't finish it? Not sure why the mimic would hold still long enough to be varnished though..." He shrugs insouciantly; "Pretty sure not our problem now."
He looks to the professor, "Was there anything else on the schedule for today or class dismissed?"

"You have the rest of the day to get used to the campus and prepare for your classes."

"I hope the rest of today is a little less crazy," says Tulli. "Oh, sorry, professor, yeah, we're first years. Hi! I'm Tulli! I'm the Destroying Angel! Nice to meet you!

"Oooohhh, Silverquill has the nicest robes! I love how shiny they are?" gushes Tulli as she claps her hands together, rushes over to Prof. Sharpbeak, and stands a little too close. "I want to join Witherbloom, but Silverquill really has style!
"What do you you teach? Oh, is there a Witherbloom counselor I can talk to? Oh, oh! What stuff on the menu around here is good? Do they have...'dough nuts" here? I've never seen one of those trees, but everyone says the nuts from it are sweet and delicious!"

Professor Sharpbeak seems a bit taken aback. "You certainly have a lot of questions. I would recommend you address them to your Magical Physiologies instructor, Professor Lang. She is one of the many talented teachers in Witherbloom."

Tulli nodded happily. "I have no idea who that person is, what they look like, or where to find them. But thanks! Also, I like your feathers. They're pretty!"
She then turned to her fellow first years. "So...now that the monster box is taken care of, do we get back to the scavenger hunt or did we already get everything?"
Noey stretches, having caught her breath after the exertion of gathering the wind. "Is the scavenger hunt over..." She looks out at the room. Surely the other students are watching the heroes who ran towards the danger? Noey looks uncomfortable. "Um, nice to meet you, Professor Sharpbeak, but, um, I'm feeling a little tired after that, I'm, um, with your permission, going to head out..." She snags Rhydian's arm as she passes by, pulling him along, saying under her breath, "...for a drink. Now."

"A pleasure to meet you Professor Sharpbeak; Silverquill is my planned college, so I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other over the term," Rhydian says with a smile.
As Noey snags his arm, he turns to ask,"Tulli, why don't you come with us for a drink at the tavern? I'm sure we can find you some answers there, and we can then take a bit of time to explore the campus?"

Amber goes to wash her hands, then comes right back. “Could it be like leftover goop from the mimic?” she asks whoever’s listening.
