Magic has always been an elusive concept, for some it comes naturally, others fear it but you are about to learn everything about it. The day has finally arrived! You recently moved to campus, picked up your tomes and uniforms, and are about to embark on their academic careers at Strixhaven University.
The morning was colder than usual but doning your 1st year student uniform felt surprisingly warm, could that be magic or simply excitement? before you knew it you were walking into the most prestigious magic school in this realm (and in the whole multiverse) you look to your acceptance letetr once more:

Avys Orisim, Director of Admission
The mission of Strixhaven University is to discover and preserve magical knowledge, to disseminate that knowledge from one generation to the next, to promote free and open study of magic in all its forms, and to enhance the lives of people throughout the world through the use of magic.
Of average height with medium length brown hair and horns that make one say “you devil you” in that sweetest of ways, Puck is a plucky mischievous Satyr from the Fey Wild. He has spent his youth inclined to ruckus about in nature, gorge in wine and fruits, and play pranks on his friends and family.
Being the Satyr way, riddles and gambles are the way of life, as well as sprinkling a bit of magic into any and all activities. The berries here aren’t yummy, they are delectable. Thirst isn’t a need here; it’s unquenching.
Walking onto campus begrudgingly, one side of Puck’s mind is excited to be here and interact with both the students and faculty, while the other feels imprisoned by the rules and structures that he is yet to understand of this world. It’s not like he chose to come to strixhaven, except that he did take the bet, and he did lose….
And then there is a little voice inside his head that wonders if perhaps this is also exactly where he needs to be. And with that his confidence returns, and he strides daringly into this new phase of life, one of endless possibilities!
"Excuse me, can you help me find this building here?" Vivi asks a bypassing staff member.
The female aasimar continues to converse with the staff. She stands tall and proud at 5'4'', her body language exudes confidence and eloquence as she speaks. Her long, silver hair mimics the sheen of silk as it cascades like a waterfall down to center of her back. And her equally silver eyes maintain fierce eye contact with her conversee. She currently wears a robe of black and blue. Draped across her shoulder is a cloak pinned by an amulet featuring a pink flame surrounded by 7 blue stars, a symbol Lady Mystra, Mother of Magic.
Vivi thanks the staff and gives him a wave. After walking several steps, Vivi slouches a bit and lets out a tired sigh. Quickly catching her unseemly posture, Vivi stands up straight, slaps her cheeks, takes a deep breath and continues walking with newfound vigor. "For Ma and Pa," the aasimar whispers under her breath.
Coming from the streets, Louvel is a nerdy, yet surprisingly strong Aarakocra. He visibly has dirt in his feathers, but that just seems to give off a charm only hardened people can give. Louvel grew up dreaming of joining Strixhaven, and has finally gotten there, in an extremely unconventional way. He was attempting to rob the bank of a nearby town. When he was caught, one of the magical policemen recognized him, and knew him to be a good person. He sent Louvel to Strixhaven, to serve community service as a Janitor, while also being able to attend classes there.
As the new student arrived to the school in his 1st year's student robes, he gazed up at Strixhaven, in awe. The man opening the carriage door politely asks, “Hello sir, and welcome to Strixhaven. How may I be of service to…?” “Louvel”, the student answered, “Just Louvel.”
Strixhaven may be known for people of all sorts of origins attending it, but a Goblin may still be quite an uncommon sight there, especially one like Hans. Lookswise he is mostly like a normal goblin, with dark green skin, short black hair, and yellow eyes. But he is among the tallest of goblins at 4'1'', though it can be hard to tell because he moves around stooped, as if trying to hide his height.
In fact, he is almost capering, occasionally using one of his hands as an additional leg as he bounces along the road towards the Biblioplex. The clink of some sort of metallic armor can be heard from under his grayscale uniform. The hand not used for locomotion holds an iron pot, from which the handle of a wooden spoon sticks out, presumably held in place by some sort of food.
This new campus place was mostly strange for Hans, though he could see what he was sure was a swamp off in the distance. But that man had sworn he could bring his skill in cooking, or alchemy as the man had called it, to new heights in here. Already he had seen more magic in here than the whole of his life before it. He was eager to see what he could learn here.
Everyone seems to know where to go or at least it seems that the Archway Commons area is the preferred for senior students to meet friends and catch up. Several faculty members surround the place helping new students and providing a common instruction: " Orientation is being held in the Biblioplex’s Hall of Oracles, that's the building located right in the middle of the school"

Louvel was quickly reached by an old fellow wearing a clean but bit old jumpsuit, he directs towards the man who opened the door "I'll take it from here. thanks!" he then turns to Louvel "Come on boy I'll take you to your room so you can leave your stuff and head to the orientation" - he helps with whatever it seems you are having a problem carrying (if anything) and starts walking towards what seems to be the residencearea where most students are still carrying bags, books and even some birds or other animals in cages... then he continues walking. After a while he turns back and says "Oh I forgot, My name is Brok, Rolf explained everything so no need to worry. You'll be staying with me for a while, people where on board with your acceptance but they rather see first what you are capable of before allowing you to move to the residance hall with the rest of the students."

As you move closer to the Archway Commons you noticed that the population seems short on smaller creatures like you, some students wearing 1st year uniforms stare and older students are genuinly surprised by your presence but don't really make much of a fuss about it. ((OOC: you may roll perception))
In case of Perception roll higher than 15 you can read the spoiler box
1st years student: Why is that thing here? Parent: don't say that darling, maybe they have new programs. 1st year student: Ughh
Older student: hey you remember last goblin on campus? Another student: you mean "The Fizzer"? OS: hahaha yes, what a legend.

You hear steps getting close to you and as you turn a dryad (also wearing 1st year uniform) face is in front of yours:"Don't you even dare show up with a party attitude and put shame on the feywild I know your kind and what you usually are up to! I'll be watching you!" The dryad keeps doesn't wait for a response from Puck and continues walking holding several books even when 1st year student programs haven't been assigned.
"Surely dear, just continue straight right in the middle of the campus. That's a lovely pin by the way! but you must change to your uniform before heading to orientation. " Says an old Owlkin with grandma vibes
Vivi blushes a bit in embarrassment, now noticing everyone else in their uniform. "Thank you, its a pin of my family's order. I'll be sure to change before heading to orientation!"
The aasimar hurries to the nearest bathroom to change. Minutes later, she steps out of the stalls, now in uniform with her order's amulet pinned onto her chest. She takes another deep breath to recompose herself and heads to the orientation hall.
Puck laughs at the seriousness of the dryad, wondering if they realize that in fact, taking life too seriously is what truly brings shame to the fey wild way of life… this world is a dream, And we choose each moment to be the dreamer or the dreamed.
As they pass Puck casts prestidigitation on the back of their outfit unknowingly to them of a symbol: a smiley face sticking its tongue out that fades after an hour.
“an hour of comedy yes, but a lifetime of memories” Puck doesn’t have time for this, and continues on down the walkway.

Perception: 15
Hans surprisingly manages to focus on his surroundings over his excitement. He slows up long enough to wave to the older students with a huge grin, while looking from the corner of his eye towards the other first year, memorizing his face. And then he's back on his way.
Louvel: "By they, you mean others. Does that mean you are on board with me?"
Brok's Answer: __________
THEN:
May Louvel use an investigation check to ask Brok about the faculty, living quarters, and orientation.
If so, here is the roll: 17(+4) = 21
"Well I just work here *smiles tiredly - But I trust Rolf so I'm sure you'll do great and hopefully you find better lodging before the year is over. By they I meant the big boss, the man...in this case the men well men and women in charge" ((Not need to roll, Brok has been friendly and supporting a friend so most likely will give out this type of information freely))
Brok takes a sit and invites you to do so, he then explains that 1st year students stay in the residence halls near located in the central campus (area surrounding the biblioplex) he describes them in detail since one of his responsabilities is to keep certain area clean. Regarding faculty and orientation he can't share much but he adds that students often respect the faculty and seems to have a lot of fun during orientation.

On your way to the Biblioplex some faculty members recognized your amulet and anyone who did added a small comment about it. Always positive.
Puck laughs at the seriousness of the dryad, wondering if they realize that in fact, taking life too seriously is what truly brings shame to the fey wild way of life… this world is a dream, And we choose each moment to be the dreamer or the dreamed.

he looks about for anyone who is playing music against a tree, or some frisbee across the lawn. He almost doesn’t notice the excessively bookworm types while he saunters forward aimlessly.
The dryad doesn't notice Puck's small prank and you still see some students pointing at her and chuckling it seemed more like lighthearted joke as no one was mean about. But having that type of attention was enough to make the dryad very uncomfortable.
At this time of the day everyone seemed to be on the move, many higher grade students where carrying some instruments and walked and talked as they played some tunes. And some other 1st year students carried instruments but always inside of cases or strapped far from their reach.
Hans surprisingly manages to focus on his surroundings over his excitement. He slows up long enough to wave to the older students with a huge grin, while looking from the corner of his eye towards the other first year, memorizing his face. And then he's back on his way.
The first year student's mom gave him a small but heavy coin bag, kisses him on the cheek and them wipes off the paint. The boy has a round face and body but never slouched, seemed to carry himself with pride.
Really? Oooh, you mean Calf? We call him that because he killed a guy, on the job with his calves. He took me under his wing when I got in trouble a couple times. He bailed me out, and taught me my first spells. I can't thank him enough. He even got me HERE!!!

"That doesn't sound like him at all haha, but I only knew him as a faculty member. I'm Ok as long as he keeps being a good guy and care about others like he did here."
((the spoiler cointains a report card that everyone here should save somewhere and update as needed, Right now Louvel will need to register in the job section:
A student who works a Job gains 5 gp at the start of each week that they hold the Job. If a student quits during the academic year, they stop earning this money at the end of the week in which they quit.
You can also build Relationship points with other students sharing the same job. Following Louvel's example Brok mentioned that you'll be working with another applicant, Brok overtakes cleaning and overall maintenance which is not part of a student worker responsabilities))
At this point I think all of you would have reach the Biblioplex following the instructions to start the 1st year orientation. ((If you'd like to mention something else that your character would've done in his/her way there just share it with us))
Now you haven't got a chance to meet each other but you are very close together as you setep into the Biblioplex you can see majestic marble archways, tomes seemingly stacked for miles, and the infectious energy of hundreds of young adults fill the Biblioplex, the grand library at the heart of Strixhaven University. The sights, sounds, and sparks of magic in the air are wondrous.
Your acceptance letter stated that you must report to the Biblioplex's Hall of Oracles to receive instructions on new-student orientation. The hall sits at the center of the Biblioplex's first floor, and you can already see students gathering there.
Vivi enters the hall and takes a moment to appreciate the view. The energy of the students mixed with the wondrous displays of magic, creates an infectious, lively atmosphere. Vivi is filled with a newfound vigor and enters the hall.
You are free to navigate the biblioplex as you wish, I shared brief descriptions of each area, right now even when orientation is being held at the oracle's hall the biblioplex seems to be holding almost new students exclusively, some are followign some kind of scavenger hunt and others are relaxing in tables or couches. If you wish to explore something in detail let me know to elaborate as appropriate.
Enchanted marble steps lead up 5 feet to a small plaza at the Biblioplex's entrance (B1). The double door's vertical handles are each carved in the likeness of a robed scholar.
Inside of the building on the west end (B2) luxurious couches and sturdy tables furnish this spacious area. Each table holds piles of magazines, newsletters, flyers, and nonmagical scrolls from around campus.
(B3) This area is holds groups of students, some older and groups of 1st year students enjoying themselves. Many enjoy food and drinks from the café (B6).
Three faculty-appointed reference librarians work at each of these circular desks (B4).
This small shop (B5) is stocked with books, equipment, and gear useful as academic supplies.
(B6) One wall of this area is covered with a mural made from a living tree's roots, which move occasionally and make the entire place feel alive. The ceiling is covered in painted leaves, which change colors depending on the season thanks to a permanent illusion effect. The magic also prompts painted squirrels to run up and down the mural's roots, and painted birds to chirp among the leaves.
You can see one person working and she holds a name tag on her apron: Aisla Fitzbottom - café's manager.
The café always serves coffee and tea, which costs 1 cp per cup. The sandwich of the day varies.
(B7) Each of these halls hosts interdisciplinary lectures for Strixhaven students. The seats magically grow or shrink to comfortably accommodate students of any size or body type. The halls' acoustics are magically enhanced to amplify the professor's lecture and minimize the disruption of side conversations. While a class is in session, each hall holds a professor and up to thirty students.
(B8) These open study areas feature simple wooden tables and chairs.
(B9) In these quiet areas, students sit on the grass and study among lush foliage.
(B10) Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the center and the east end of the library's first floor, with the denser east stacks under a magic effect that shifts them when students approach, creating space to stand single-file between them.
(B11) This hallowed hall is filled with statues of the university's past Oracles. At the center of the hall, a pulsing ball of magical energy fills the area with bright light
(B12) This crisp-looking room features white walls and columns that stretch from floor to ceiling. Displayed on or within these are art pieces representative of various media.
(B13) This impressive stage is used for lectures, for assemblies, and as a gathering place in case of emergencies. Magic steps lead up to the stage from the floor of the library.
(B14) This room is filled with tables and chairs and is available to any student organization registered with Strixhaven for use as a meeting place, rehearsal facility, or crafting site, or for other approved purposes.
(B15) Filled with wooden tables and benches, this room has a flag displaying the Strixhaven star symbol hanging on its back wall.
Upper Floors (new students aren't being encouraged to go upstairs but the area is open to anyone interested.)
(B16) Rooms on the Biblioplex's second floor can be accessed only with keys held by faculty members
(B17) These private offices are for students working on their theses.
(B18) This rest area is designed to help stressed-out senior students unwind. Large tables are set up for gaming and shelves are filled with recreational reading material. The area can be accessed only through the advanced student stacks.
(B19) This area on the library's third floor holds copies of most of the mundane, widely available written works in the multiverse. The books are inscrutably cataloged, so it's almost impossible to find anything without requesting information from a reference librarian

As they pass Puck casts prestidigitation on the back of their outfit unknowingly to them of a symbol: a smiley face sticking its tongue out that fades after an hour.
“an hour of comedy yes, but a lifetime of memories” Puck doesn’t have time for this, and continues on down the walkway.
he looks about for anyone who is playing music against a tree, or some frisbee across the lawn. He almost doesn’t notice the excessively bookworm types while he saunters forward aimlessly.
Perception: 15
Hans surprisingly manages to focus on his surroundings over his excitement. He slows up long enough to wave to the older students with a huge grin, while looking from the corner of his eye towards the other first year, memorizing his face. And then he's back on his way.
"Well I just work here *smiles tiredly - But I trust Rolf so I'm sure you'll do great and hopefully you find better lodging before the year is over. By they I meant the big boss, the man...in this case the men well men and women in charge"
((Not need to roll, Brok has been friendly and supporting a friend so most likely will give out this type of information freely))
The first year student's mom gave him a small but heavy coin bag, kisses him on the cheek and them wipes off the paint. The boy has a round face and body but never slouched, seemed to carry himself with pride.
While walking to my separated room, I ask Brok who Rolf is. We then arrive at the dorms.
-Archie
"Rolf! He caught you at the bank I guess you don't even know his name. His a good guy, used to teach here before."
Really? Oooh, you mean Calf? We call him that because he killed a guy, on the job with his calves. He took me under his wing when I got in trouble a couple times. He bailed me out, and taught me my first spells. I can't thank him enough. He even got me HERE!!!
-Archie
"That doesn't sound like him at all haha, but I only knew him as a faculty member. I'm Ok as long as he keeps being a good guy and care about others like he did here."
((the spoiler cointains a report card that everyone here should save somewhere and update as needed, Right now Louvel will need to register in the job section:
Campus Grounds
Jobs: Graffiti eraser, lawn manicurist, litter retriever, sidewalk sweeper, statuary repairer, trash collector
