Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid,Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions! I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
Ok everyone... So I have not heard back from Baryeras in quite some time. I have removed him from our adventuring party (Morgan, don't worry about your Horse... It will be at the inn. I will write him out of the story. In the interim, my wife has been wanting to get in on some PBP action. (I based Kate on her character, but made some tweaks to it for this story.) I would like to introduce therpg5e to the party. She is playing a version of our IRL campaign character named Aowyn.
I have caught her up on the story, without revealing anything, nor will I. Additionally, you can ask her, but I tend to be harder on her then on our other players IRL, just so I can clearly say I do not play favorites. Her character IRL has died 2 times already by level 13. I hope this is all okay with you... Sorry for the mix up in characters and stuff, but we have an inactive player.
It is about this time as the party is putting together camp that a new humanoid figure approaches the campsite. She is beautiful, though some of that beauty comes from her exotic nature. She has sky blue skin, white eyes, and short cropped white hair that seems to constantly be blowing in the wind despite their being very little breeze.
"A little late for a rescue, don't you think Aowyn?" Kate says, looking up from building a fire for the group. "Everyone... Don't freak out... I know we had a long day. But she is part of the Order of the Summer Court as well. She is actually my sister as well. My mother is her mother... see the family resemblance?"
Morgan begins unpacking her tent, thankful that she had kept it attached to her pack rather than leaving it with the wagon. As she does so, she turns her gaze back to Caradoc.
*A fire would probably be helpful, yes. Hopefully the goblins were the worst thing to worry about in the area.*
Hello everyone. Thank you for having me. I will try to jump in quickly and not mess anything up. I am playing a half-elf Air Genasi Monk. Dpad said to start at level 2. I am aiming to be a 4 elements if I can, but I don't have the subscription so if I need to I will be open fist.
An average height, beautiful woman of late 20's walks up to the camp fire and sits next to Kate putting an arm around her. As she sits, everyone can clearly see the family resemblance despite the blue skin and white eyes/hair. She not well built like her sister, but lean, to the point of being almost skinny, but looks rope tight and fierce. Her bold nose is almost identical to Kate's.
"The order asked me to come find you... You have been gone awhile. Did you find anything? I assume you did. Your face looks pretty busted up..." Aowen says with a nudge at her sister.
"Hello everyone. Has my sister been treating you alright? I am Aowen. Pleased to make your acquaintance. But it is late. Perhaps we can talk in the morning?"
Greetings, therpg5e. Welcome to the group. I'm sure you'll get along well enough and click with the group before too long. Unfortunately, "talk in the morning" is a bit literal for me right now, since I'm about to head out the door for work. (Gotta love night shift...)
Hopefully we can catch up more tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Caradoc glances up from the spot where he's cleared some earth and laid a small stack of tinder from his tinderbox. After the day he's had, blue skin and white eyes just don't carry the shock value they might have just a few short days before.
"Long days and pleasant nights to you. Caradoc Langham, at your service," the halfling replies to Aowyn's friendly greeting. "Does her face look busted up? We thought that's just how she looks," he grins at the sisters. He opens his mouth to continue chattering, but is ambushed by a jaw-cracking yawn.
"Hey - you don't happen to have a teapot, do you? I'm dying for a cup, but I seem to have misplaced my kettle."
"Well sis... You got a tent,or something?" Looking at the extent of her wounds and the rafters of her clothes, Aowen pulls out a sleeping bag from her pack and sighs. "Looks like your baby sis is taking care of you again... Get some rest will ya?"
Looking at the rest of the group and seeing their states (assuming you are all somewhat beaten up?), "You want me to take first watch?"
Kate laughs at Aowen. “Always the more dedicated and responsible one... you probably would not have been caught by goblins either huh? Should I tell the group about that time in the feywild with the little horned men and their... charming personalities?” Kate yawns deeply however and crawls into the sleeping bag.
”To tired though... remind me in the morning. Carodoc... your cute, but I will make your face look worse then mine if you keep pushing.” She inks at Carodoc. “Go to bed already.”
"Aye, good ta meet ya. Gelin Stonefist at yer service. I'd usually sing ya a little ditty, but the day has been a bit drainin'." Gelin unrolls his pack, "I'd be more'n happy to help ya on the first watch though. I don't much like my sleep bein' interrupted."
"...so it looks like you can also try to turn someone into a frog with it," Frixori has the jade frog figurine in her hand, finishing to inform the others of its functions as Aowyn approaches the camp. "Any volunteers to test it out?"
"Oh, hello there.. Yeah, your sister seems okay. Probably would be looking worse had it not been for her help." The pale skinned tiefling, white-haired tiefling pauses for a moment in thought. "So what's so important here in the middle-of-nowhere that has the attention of the Harpers?" Considering the time of night, Frixori reconsiders, "Perhaps a conversation for our trip back to town?"
Caradoc sighs and rolls over. No tea tonight... "Wake me up for last watch, and don't go telling any secrets while I'm..." but he's already asleep before the sentence is finished.

"I travel kinda light Caradoc... No tea on me. Sorry. Phanadrin is only a few hours away I think.I will buy you a cup of morning tea when we get there."
"Well met friend Dwarf" Aowen says smiling, patting the log next to her.
"Oh... She told you about that..." Aowen says looking at her sisters sleeping form in response to the tiefling. (Conferring with DM notes I was given... Sorry, a lot to catch up on.) "Well that is my sisters thing. I was sent by the order of the summer court, our temple. She has not checked in for a long time and our mistress told me I would find her here."
"Oh, just from the same monastary...this Summer Court, and not both Harpers? Apologies. Guess I will save that question for her in the morning." Frixori grabs her bedroll and spreads it out. "Well if your half as capable as your sister I'm sure we all will get along fine. We can get to know each other a little better in the morning." She lays her head down, and through a yawn says, "I'm Frixori by the way... You can wake me for second watch as well."
Once Morgan's tent is set up, she spreads out her bedroll inside it and crawls in to get situated.
*I'll be up for the morning watch,* she projects to everyone who is still awake in the area, before closing the flaps to her tent.
Inside, though she is as comfortable as she could expect to be on the road, it takes Morgan quite a while to fall asleep. An unfamiliar restless energy seems to be fighting to keep her awake, but eventually her exhaustion from the events of the day wins out and she is finally able to drift into sleep.
Welcome to our merry party! I hope you have a good time with us!
At first turning alarmed when the newcomer joins them he relaxed when the kate's sister introduces herself.
" Well met then please join us. " he says making a movement to invite her to the fire " I am Cyrnair Thonrar humble servant of The Morning Lord, Lathander. Please excuse us. We had a rough day but the day finish with some joy and hope if we make two sisters reunite. Take some dinner and some rest " he says looking at the tired Caradoc " Tomorrow we will do it to Pahradin and there we could have a proper rest. I will take guard tonight. "
The paladin takes his sword and puts it in front of him with the fire at his back, watching the rest of the others.
For brevities sake, each of the 3 watches goes by smoothly. With 3 separate watches, it adds about 4 hours to a Full rest for the group, so by the time you wake, the sun has been up for hours. Looking at the positioning of the sun, you would guess you are somewhere near noon already by the time the group all wakes.
Kate stretches with a massive yawn, looking much better then she did the day before. "Well friends... I really must be off. The Harpers need to know what is going on here... And so does the Summer Court." Kate looks to her blue skinned half sister. "Aowyn... Be careful. These are good people, but the dangers we saw in that cave. I must tell our mistress. Perhaps the Harpers will join in aid once I tell them of these events. I will see you again."
Kate gives the men a hardy handshake and the women a bearhug.
To Cyrnair "Take care of my sister. She will need a strong arm by her side. Your God is quite similar to our mistress. They have a... interesting history."
To Gelin "I know a thing or 2 about bards... Keep your thoughts honorable with my sister." She laughs and winks.
To Carodoc "You have a good heart my friend. Help Aowyn keep hers". She kisses him on the forhead.
To Frixori "I sense a kinship with you, not yet explored. I would very much like to see you again before the end of this is done."
To Morgan "You have a darkness to you, but it is not you either... don't let it overtake you my dear. I have a gut feeling if you do... Well... Just don't loose yourself"
To Aowyn, "Don't be to much like mother now okay.
With that, she dashes off towards Triboar Trial at remarkable speeds.
If anyone wants to Retcon a conversation with you, please PM me it. It would have to be during one of the night watches. I have given Aowyn some of the backstory of Kate, so she may be able to answer some questions as well.
Sorry guys... Managing a Constant NPC through narratives is to hard at the moment. I hope you will understand. Part of why I did it was for story but part of it was because the encounter for the narrative required 6 people.
Aowen laughs at Kates comment to her. "Mother was always more concerned you would follow in her footsteps then me Kate." Aowyn gives her sister a big hug before she leaves, and wipes a tear from her eye that starts to float upward, defying gravity. "You know the mistress does not approve of your involvement of the Harpers sister. We would see eachother more if you werent a member of 2 organizations you know."
Watching her sister run off northward for a bit, Aowyn goes about rolling up we sleeping back and tucking in the straps of her backpack. Noticing the 2 dead bodies, she lets out a bit of a squeak in surprise. "Were they there the whole time?"
Sorry about not noticing that. I am trying to catch up and Dpad did not tell me that Gundren and Sildar died.

Morgan stands when the new figure approaches, her face grim until Kate gives her explanation.
She nods her understanding without saying a word before returning to setting up her tent, though she keeps a close eye on the new arrival.
