Jason recived order from his temple to check if some crazy wizard is not behind this goblin plague.
So for my character:
He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve.
My character will not betray companions but if he will have to kill one innocent to get to the one evil he will do it.
If we look into the history of real humans Inquistors all of them were quite evil;)
DM: Can I play him that way or you would prefer to shift him more to good?
I do not mind how you play him so long as it doesn't take anyone's fun away nor go against the tone of the Campaign. If that makes sense.

It's your choice how to play a character unless it completely goes completely against the DM, but lucky if change is needed there's always Character Development

Marvarax andSora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
Beamer began life near the throne of his father Lustrous and learned to enjoy and expect privilege. His subsequent adventures in self discovery as he wanders forests alone, though giving him self confidence and a sense of being self sufficient, have not changed his spending habits. He owes money in every town that has seen him for more than few days. He likes his coiffed hair and natty attire but needs to increase his income to match, or return to his family which will happen someday but just ... not yet.
He heard that Nightstone was having issues with the elves of Ardeep forest and thought he might find employment helping scout or such in this cause, but ... intermediary to elves... not going to happen. As luck would have it they are also concerned with Goblins and are paying for scouts and fighters to help fix this problem. He gathers his things and makes a call on Lady Velrosa Nandar, the one who seems to hold the purse strings on this endeavor.
It was a quiet afternoon in Nightstone, so named for the massive chunk of obsidian that once stood in the middle of the village square. The obsidian megalith has strange glyphs carved into it. Each of you has found your way here for one reason or another. In pursuit of gold, for the benefit of the people and their Goblin plight, or maybe a more person agenda.
This is a small town surrounded by a moat and gaurded at 6 points with watchtowers. To enter you must be allowed across the Drawbridge. Nightstone is a town with homes for its few residents, a temple to Meilikki and Lathander, a Windmill, a wall surrounding it (on which the towers are spaced evenly), and of course the Nightstone Inn. On its own little island, across a wooden bridge is the Nandar Keep Where Lady Nandar herself Resides behind sealed gates with guards always present and on watch.
What are each of you doing on such a fine day?
(Bear with me if i fail to mention or describe something accurately enough as this is my first time DM-ing in this fashion. If you have any questions regarding environment or the setting in general feel free to ask.)

Calanon had already went into the inn and decided that was where he would stay for the time being as he wished to spend as little time under the sun as he could. For now he had hunkered down in his room, making sure he had locked it tight as he knew that many would not be keen on having a drow. While he had done his best to keep a low profile he knew that the dwarf behind the counter had seen his heritage when he rented the room.

As Jason approuches the guard in the watchpost he rises his hand and shouts without any emotions:
"My name is Inquisitor Jason. I was sent here to investigate if there are any magic activities behind recent goblins plague. Both of your temples were informed and both agreed not to disturb the investigations. Here are the permissions"
Jason pulls two scrolls from his cloak and wave with them in the air
Wilword has been heading north for some time since leaving Candlekeep. Currently heading toward Waterdeep he decided to stop in Nightstone and try and replenish his coin before he needed it to loosen some tongues.
Having found a room for the night and sorting his meager belongings he heads downstairs to see if there are any work going in town that he may be able to help with.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After Taliesin finishes performing for the crowd he begins to head towards the noble's mansion.
Along the way he makes a quick stop to investigate the arcane runes etched into the obsidian monolith, curious to see if there's anything he can learn from it.
Investigation check: 12 Arcana check: 7
After looking at the monolith he continues on his way to the noble's mansion (I may change this depending on the information I get from the monolith).
Leading expeditions in the forest has worked for Beamer in the past but new clients were not to be found since giving up on helping with the Ardeep elves (negotiate with elves? Uhhh please...) Beamer hurries to the bridge where he hopes to find Nander Keep and Lady Nander. It is reported that she pays well and he can use the money. He reaches the bridge and crosses hoping to gain favor and pocket some coin before heading back into his usual wanderlust.
