Backstory: Born in the shore town of Palma Flora Rhysand grew up as a fisherman’s son with his six other siblings. However in a sahuagin raid he lost both his parents and a younger brother. Saving the town in the raid both he and his elder brother gained great renown. So much so that a famous spear master from Rexxentrum offered to train one of them. Leaving his elder brother to run the family buissness Rhysand traveled to Rexxentrum to learn the ways of the blade becoming a mercenary for the crown. Sent to Xhorhas on his first mission he travels to Urzin in search of the truth to a false kidnapping claim.
I will note: if you don't have access to the heroic chronicle, I can give you access if you're chosen! Just come up with a general Exandrian character concept and we'll tweak it :)
Backstory: Tisharu grew up on the streets. Picked on as a kid for being a "half breed". Eventually he was taken in by an old Drunk named Rabond who taught him to fight. In return Tisharu would "pick up a few things" or remind people money they owed. After a job went bad Tisharu realized it was time to strike it out on his own. Maybe play it straight for a bit. Looking at a map he sees the name Xhorhas. He thinks that's as good of a place as any as he hit the road.

Backstory: Sailor - Dorra grew up in the Menagerie Coast area. She has loving parents and 4 siblings. But staying in the Palma Flora location wasn't for her. She needed to stretch her legs and explore. Apparently, she went with sea legs and joined a crew aboard Lucidian's Heart. She enjoys this life and thrives with her crew, being in the sea when she can. They deliver goods throughout the continent of Wildemount, typically legal, but the crew is not one to ask questions, so there is the underside of the law from time to time. Dorra does not get involved with the going ons of this, just occupies herself with her job and enjoying the explorations of land when they dock.
When they enter the Emerald Gultch, it is her first time and as they dock at Jigow, she hears of the villages on the backs of horizonback tortoises, she has to see this for herself and sets off towards Urzin.

Born and raised in Bysaes Tyl, the middle child of three girls, Kali has grown up knowing she's a walking criminal, because her family worships the elven pantheon, rather than the Empire's approved gods. She resents the Empire that persecutes anyone who dares step outside of their approved guidelines, but when her older sister, Shae'vana, announced she wanted to join the Crownsguard, Kali held her tongue. When Shae began spouting Imperial propaganda, Kali argued because she thought she could convince her sister otherwise. But when Shae had the family thrown in prison for worshipping false idols (the same ones she'd grown up worshipping), Kali gave up. It was only a month's stay, but it was enough to know her sister was one of them now. When the Nessal family was released, Kali snapped, locating her sister as soon as possible and chewing her out. She called Shae a traitor to her people and her family, along with a number of other hurtful things that don't bear repeating. Shae simply responded with one thing:
"Leave, before I lose my temper. And do not let me see you again, or I may not have the same self-control I do now."
Fuming, Kali gladly obliged. She left the barracks, left Bysaes Tyl, and afterward spent some time on the Menagerie Coast, in the Clovis Concord. She was mostly just existing for a while, making an ally of her drinking buddy and friend Lara in Nicodranas, before she found the Golden Grin and decided to join up with them--particularly, with their work against the Empire.
Things have only gotten more complicated since then. Kali's not helpless, but she realized she needed to be more capable than she is to be a good Grinner, so she made a deal she barely understands now, much less then, but that she doesn't dare regret. And in return, she got strange powers--strange, but very useful. She chooses to believe that that deal was the cause for that dream she had one time, where an old man called her scourger and then turned into flames. She also chooses to believe that the Dwendalian knight bent on arresting her won't actually catch her.
Denial might be one of her powers.
But that doesn't matter. Kali will help to overthrow the Empire, or at least to free Bysaes Tyl from it. No matter how dirty she has to get her hands in the process.
Backstory: A mysterious sentient construct who awoke in the middle of the Whitedawn Lagoon, half-broken body overgrown and fused with wood and flora, with no memories of their past. While unsure of how and why they are still functional in this state, they enjoy every new day of life (undeath?) they have been granted. A carefree and positive individual who has the tendency to treat others like children, which others may find endearing or annoying. They wish to find a way to alter their body into a form that fits their aesthetics more on this adventure.

Backstory: Naeris was born in the Pallid Grove, but his family moved to Port Damali before he could walk. He grew up in a large family, with 3 older sisters, an older brother, a twin brother, a younger sister, and two younger brothers. Their mother is a priestess of Sehanine, and so the family was more actively involved in worship than most. One night, his older brother vanished, leaving behind only a note with a promise to return when he was greatly needed.

As young adults (by human standards), Naeris, his twin, and his three older sisters were approached by the Golden Grin to join their ranks. All of them accepted, and are now agents. This is the true reason he's in Xhorhas.
Naeris set out as a performer shortly thereafter, traveling the coast. He maintains contact with his family and does what he can to help people with his developing bardic magic. Recently, his travels have led him to Xhorhas.
Backstory: An Aasimar looking for redemption for failing Issek's (her deity) teachings, Eequine ventured to Xhorhas, looking to purge it from evil, and if she isn't able, to purge as much as Issek requires for forgiveness. When Eequine sees evildoers doing evil things, she will enter a rage, not stopping until all she deems evil have perished.

I come to find out someone who looked like me had them killed and my brother thinks I'm the duplicate. I ran not knowing what to do as no one believed me. I found a place to hide in some caves. There I found a Drow elf near death. He gave me this talesman and said to get it to his daughter. I believe that if I can join the Blood Hunters and go through the trial I can clear my name.

Backstory (Based on Chronicle) : Born and Raised in Western Wyndamir, Terry's family lived on the outskirts of Rexxentrum in Zemini Fields. His mother and aunt would travel for weeks at a time to hunt game and exotic fauna to sell to nobility and innkeeps alike for feasts and fare, respectively. His father as homemaker, was loathe to let Terry join his mother in the family business due to it's inherent dangers, but nevertheless he began training as an outlander in the art of hunting and trapping. The lifestyle didn't allow for many relationships to be built outside of business, so Terry grew closer to his Aunt during these trips as a mentor and friend. One fateful day, his Aunt caused a horrible accident that lead to his mother's death. She was overcome with guilt and would do anything to make things up to Terry, but Terry quit his training and stayed home with his father. Eventually, all the little reminders of his mother became too much, and Terry set out on his own. He aimed to finish his training alone, and sought the more dangers wilds eastward. His path has taken him to Xhorhas, a more dangerous place for a human of the empire.
