Upon hearing Misha say 'lots of good friends', Windy looks around for signs of potential friends. She looks increasingly confused in the absence of any animals
Skorli wanders out to the breakfast table a good half-hour late, looking bleary-eyed and a bit undead. "Coffee.."he croaks, blinking repeatedly and shielding his eyes from the morning light.
After he gets a mug or two in him, he begins to revive, and he is able to rejoin his comrades in conversation.
In answer to Misha, he replies, "Ah, ta wee fairies did visit ye and sing to ye in yer sleep, did they? Beautiful music they make, ta little buggers. But me? Nooo, Skorli ain't no singer. I's a right good lissener, though."
When Windy has her tantrum, he looks concerned, and begins to reach for Frigga, until he sees Leokoris easily dodge the strange woman's blows. Perplexed, he makes a mental note to give that one a wide berth.
"Arright," he says finally, "What be the plan fer today?"
Misha clasps her hands together and with a bright grin and equally musically, cheery voice, “Let us go show those goblins they cannot just run willy nilly wherever they want. I want a home and family and neighbors and friends again!”
Leokorlis shrugs, and says Windy I don't know. I am a humble soldier and as such more than happy to teach you combat skills after breakfast, but I'm thinking you are looking for something else?
Skorli - glad to see you have opted to join us for brunch ;) what I'm doing today is exercising until lunch time, followed by snoozing until mid afternoon. Sgt Sloane wants us by the East Gate in arms, and travel gear by tea time..Armour, of course, is optional...Anyone to join me in the Training Room?
Skorli ponders the soldier's agenda. "Exercise, eh? Hrm. Guess I oughta do some exercise too. I plans ta exercise me arms today... by liftin' many tankards of ale from ta bar to me lips! Who's wit' me?"
"Windy does not look, just finds. One can learn something from nothing, yes?"
She bursts into a fit of laughter, revealing her toothless mouth, and nudges Leokoris in the side repeatedly to emphasis how obviously funny her joke was.
"Windy will practice with you, yes?" responding to Leokorlis' suggestion.
“I could use some practice shooting targets, myself.”
She pulls her ruffly, red dress accentuated with black trim aside from her legs to reveal a crossbow hooked to a leather belt. She pats it comfortably.
Skorli shakes his head sadly. "Pfff, there'll be many days ahead of swingin' swords and hurlin' bolts 'n arrows. Lots more practice than any of us wants, I'll wager. Free ale, though... that don't come 'round too often, and surely not on a battlefield!"
In the late morning, the skinny young quartermaster clerk Kadakithes comes into the dining hall. "What are you all doing sitting here talking?" he asks. "Shouldn't you be getting ready and heading out to the East Gate? Sergeant Sloan has already met with the other team and sent them on their way."
"Ye must be hallucinatin', Master Clerk. Ain't nobody here but us chickens. Them soldiers yer lookin' for already left to meet ta Sergeant," Skorli says, smiling, as he walks past the skinny youth and out the door.
When you all arrive at the East Gate, Sergeant Sloan shows himself. "Glad you could make it," he begins. "I know I said I would meet both teams at the depot this afternoon, but things have gotten worse. The goblins are on the move. Team North was ready to go, so I sent them ahead. They should arrive at the outskirts of the camp before dusk. I expect you to get there about the same time. You are to go out this gate, travel down the road for about an hour, then cut north to where the camp is located. Once there, you are to sneak into the camp to the commander's tent where you should find the hobgoblin warlord."
Xienuty, since you have the best stealth modifier, I need five stealth checks from you.
"Also," Sergeant Sloan adds, "you should meet up with Team North before going after the warlord. I doubt one team could take him and his four generals alone. Good luck, and may the gods protect us all."
One Goblin Warlord coming up, Sergeant. How far North of the Road are they? And are you wanting it dead or alive?
After the answers, Leokoris looks at her teammates one at a time ...
Once we start we can expect trouble at any time from enemy patrols and foraging parties. If we run into small enemy forces we should eliminate them quick and quiet. Now will be a good time to set up our spots in line. I will be in the spot behind the scout...
(ooc: giving them all a chance to speak...)
...and may the gods protect Freeport!
With that she sets a steady pace following the East Road out the gate, taking particular note of spots where ambushes might be set up...
Misha lines up behind Leokoris. “This looks like a safe spot for me to provide some love and support to those that need it. I can do lots of stuff from here, I’m sure!”

"Hmpfh!" Windy snorts, stands up and badges past the man. She mutters not so quietly under her breath
"Rude... Skinny... Hole"
Misha looks to Leokoris. “No practice, then?”
"Ye must be hallucinatin', Master Clerk. Ain't nobody here but us chickens. Them soldiers yer lookin' for already left to meet ta Sergeant," Skorli says, smiling, as he walks past the skinny youth and out the door.
Leokoris shrugs and stifles a sigh
ALL RIGHT EVERYONE, YOU HEARD THE MAN, LET'S GRAB OUR GEAR AND MOVE OUT!
Kadakithes - one second, did Sergeant Sloan have any instructions for us, or maps?
"All he said was to meet him at the East Gate," Kadakithes answers. "He will have further instructions for you there."
Misha hops up from the table, puts her pack over her shoulders and follows Leokoris to the East Gate.

"Wait, don't leaves me back 'ere wit' ta crazy druid!... Ah, damn. Fine." Skorli mutters under his breath as he takes up fourth position.
