All of this talk of language starts to make Hin excited. By the might of moses, be still my heart! "Is it just one language, that's understood by all, or do you really know every single language? What about the text in the Loreweaver's Sanctuary? Can you read that? What about who wrote it? Why is it there, and what does it all say?" He feels promise in his train of thought, but he dares not to say where his mind wanders to out loud. What about the books? I don't think I ever got an answer to that question from before. He takes a second and switches to an Orcish dialect. Jiak kij. Jiak kij. Jiak kij. Over the past three weeks as he's gotten to know his towermates, he's pretty sure he knows what languages everyone speaks. Even though he knows he's probably not entirely accurate, he's sure no one else speaks Orc.
For DM/Thul and anyone who speaks Orc:
I tried finding a good translator for Orcish but I can't find one. Might also be that the nature of the language itself causes its vocabulary to be limited, which doesn't help someone like Hin. So here's what I mean to say (in Orcish):
"I don't think you ever answered my earlier question, about my parents, and the missing pages. I'm assuming you have information on what happened, considering you write down all of history, and that... happened. As history does. I'm sorry, sometimes my brain moves faster than my mouth and it's hard to catch everything, especially in a language that I don't get the change to practice often."

"It is both. Mine is one language, that all mortal minds comprehend in their own language, and I know every historical language, and any new language the moment it is formed." He pauses when you ask about the cave "Of course I can read it. I wrote it. Those were dark days for us divine. That cave was my attempt at keeping history straight."
Hin
In the back of your mind, you hear Thul's voice "Your parents were recruited to work on a project. Unknowingly, to them, the end goal was an obedient awakened fungi capable of hunting and killing shapeshifters, like your parents and yourself. They found out, and ultimately died attempting to shut it down. The rogue professor who started the project spends his days in Obsidian Caldera Prison."
You know the Obsidian Caldera Prison is a prison for very powerful practitioners of magic, that rests in the caldera of a volcano off the coast of Aelira.
"I do believe it's about time for you to return home." Thul pauses for a moment mouthing something silently to himself "Mazhulli'maameq'zall'lulath is about to reach the academy. He's in search of you." He conjures up 5 small coins in his hand "Take one of these and please step through my door to return to the academy." One by one you all take a coin and step through the doorway to his house, and appear in the courtyard of the academy. Mere seconds later, Professor Maz appears in the courtyard looking surprised and relieved as he sees all of you. You all quickly catch the professor up with your escapades and return to your tower.
We will wrap this adventure up with all of you returning to 3 more weeks of grueling classes as you rise up to 4th level!
"Oh goodness..." He stares wide-eyed at the floor in response to Thul's reply. He shakes his head vigorously, not wanting to worry his companions and saving that information for later in the notebook that is his mind. As he's handed the coin, and as he walks through the door into the academy courtyard, he pauses and looks back at the deity. "Well, Thul, it's been fun. If you ever get lonely again, I'm always up for a chat. You're kind of, sort of, maybe the kind of wizard I'd love to become one day. But you probably knew that already. Farewell!" With a flourished wave and a theatrical bow, he steps into the courtyard backwards just in time to catch his professor coming in. He sighs deeply, and continues with his day.
The next three weeks are mostly the same as the past three weeks, but he has a definite goal with his research now. He becomes somewhat obsessed with mushrooms and mycology, reading everything he can on the topic as well as studying for his classes. He spends most of his time in the library, researching and reading and studying, engages in avid storytelling with his children's literature club, and occasionally tries to catch up with Lena and the other children in the academy.

Barburry is startled in a moment of bewilderment. This was so quick and felt like the moment should have felt...heavier. Yet, the whole experience felt comfortable and informal, like tea and friends meeting at home. He doesn't get very emotional but he takes a moment to share the gratitude for the experience. Taking the coin with a bow, he takes his leave quietly, not trusting his voice to not quake as he exits through the portal.
Scritches on the other hand races through behind dragging a messy slice of "pie" along the floor behind him. Much bigger than the ferret, it's quite comical to see as the familiar stops just before the portal. He snickers out one last sentiment and departs following his firbolg caster before their link get's severed by the portal. "Dook dook chirrt shreek dook screetch DOOOOOOOOK!"
Tell bird boy man child he's a punk! Thanks for the food, praise Thul for liiiiiiiiiife!
One of you (Hin was the last recorded one to possess it) should have the Rod of the Loreweaver.
Each of you should have 100 gold. (Student funds from hitting 3rd level (Some of you spent some of that gold already))
Each of you continue studying within the academy in hopes of one day graduating. Whether you choose to graduate immediately as a novice, or continuing until reaching apprentice, adept, or disciple is up to you.
This was an amazing adventure to run with each of you! Keep your eyes out for the next one, wizards!
