I don't know, I don't really look at your ac unless I have a reason to. Doesnt come up often.
The room is starting to resembke an abbatois as rhe creature is reduced to an animated pike if chum. Despite its lack of physical cohesion, it's still clearly dangerous, the are it occupies a riot of snapping jaws and strange tentacles.

"You will not die today, sister." Navarra will try to assure the thayvian female (Morwena) while demonstrating her capability to flirt with life and death. She casts Healing Word on the thayan male (Chadderlay) to restore 3 HP. Simultaneously, her dark brown hair will be animated to transform into a skeletal hand. The appendage is imbued with necrotic energy so that it can try to strike the hostile creature with destructive energy.

Yeah I've deliberately not drawn a map here. The thing makes ranged atracks and teleports basically all the time. Nebulous concepts of distance are your friend here.

Akame suffers through the psychic attack, glad his family's birthright gave him some resistance to such things. He focuses on a spot on the creature's body for several seconds and fire burst forth in an explosion.
I just added "Subtle Spell" to it I didn't mess with the roll. It was 32 damage if IIRC.

Manifestations of alien hunger erupt from this horror in waves of ravenous organs and mind-breaking psychic assaults.
