Crimson Sands of Time

Chad (Giant Ape) will attack with two Fist attacks (have reach 10 feet on Fist attacks, plus can move or squeeze to get within range before attacks).

Attack: 26 Damage: 30 bludgeoning damage.

Attack: 20 Damage: 23 bludgeoning damage.

Tetrevess manifest mind moves to highlight the dragon, and tetrevess casts fire bolt at it 33 to hit for 19 damage.  (DA is countered because of grapple, i think)

i think i cant do a crown of stars attack (that is in the log)

Tetrevess’ magen catches up to him and administers a potion of healing to the wizard. 

I don't think firebolt works underwater, but I don't see a rule that it doesn't.  I'll consider it.

Update: the target has resistance when fully submerged; that's what I was trying to recall.

But grappled does not grant AD to attackers. 

"Backliners! Lights out in five seconds! I'm moving in! Help Ethan rescue the prisoners " Once Chad moves out of the way, the young gunner heads back into the previous room where he ended up, but again he's unable to make a clear shot  with the mighty ape in his way so he mantains a defensive stance for the time being.

He can probably get by the ape.  Target is underwater, though.

"Damn it!" Ethan yells as he moves just behind Chad and unleashes his usual projectiles if he can use them without harming Chad. If can after that, he'll scramble to find the keys needed to free the prisoners.

 #1: 16 to hit, 12 Force + 5 Necrotic and 5 from Hexblade's Curse from earlier

#2: 27 to hit, 10 Force plus 10 above

#3: 13 to hit (I guess miss)

The dracolich takes some hits from the back line behind the giant ape.

<ooc: When did the dracolich enter the room with the prisoners? I don't see that movement described in the post and wouldn't the snake still be grappling him, or did he teleport and I missed the post somewhere? Or should I go by the screen shots posted in the messages? Sorry for my confusion.>

<I meant the people attacking are still behind Chadderlay as they attack, as is mu understanding of their descriptions.  He's almost done, btw and I was about to post that he does teleport again to free himself from the snake and appear beside the cage with the hag.  That does use his acrion, so he's done at that point.  I'm guessing you saw that I moved the tokens in owlbear in advance of my post whixh woukd have described this.  I hope that clarifies things.>

The dracolich vanishes from the waters of the cistern reappearing beside the cage holding sister Deathwillow.

PCs are up. (I struggle to flavorful convey that he's near 'death' at this point. Imagine him flashing red, intermittently)

Chad (Giant Ape) looks around after the dracolich disappears again and sees him near the cage which holds the hag, sister Deathwillow. Chad (Giant Ape) will move (40 feet) and so long as I can get within 10 feet of the dracolich I make two Fist attacks.

Attack: 14 Damage: 21 bludgeoning damage.

Attack: 19 Damage: 28 bludgeoning damage.

 not sure why it says the dice rolls are not yet available... what's going on with D&D Beyond, don't we all pay money for content on here, they should fix this and be on top of things

"Wait... where did he... oh god!" Ethan gasps as his worst nightmares flare to life: Sister Deathwillow in the throes of the dracolich... and on the verge of death too. It wasn't something that he would dare to accept with his heart, not especially since he... Damn it again! I knew I should have freed her before this happened... I'm such an idiot... why did I hesitate?!

"NO! GET AWAY FROM HER YOU FOUL MONSTER!" The Simic teen yells in anger as he rushes in to strike, hoping that the combine firepower would be enough to tear down this hulking monstrosity before Deathwillow can become a sacrifice.

Strike 1: 24 to hit, 12 bludgeoning + 10 from Hexblade's Curse and Necrotic

Strike 2 (With Eldritch Smite): 25 to hit, 12 Bludgeoning + 10 from Above and 22 from the smite itself

"OH CRAP! BACKLINERS! WE NEED YOUR FIREPOWER ASAP! I REPEAT! WE NEED YOUR FIREPOWER! NOW!" Randy commands to the backliners (If they're still in the back) as he readies his strongest projectiles yet. "Rabid dogs like you will be relived of their misery then! EAT THIS!"

Ray 1: 9 to hit, misses due to inaccuracy

Ray 2: 26 to hit, 6 Fire 

Ray 3: 25 to hit, 9 Fire

Force Ballista again: 26, 11 Force

After Chadderlay rushes over to deliver Throstelgrael a massive punch to the skull, the dragon beats it's wings (LA) Dex DC19 vs 13 bludgeoning and prone, no damage on success.

Chad's (Giant Ape) DEX save: 4 

Chad's (Giant Ape) Concentration save: 12 

The big ape takes the damage and falls prone.

Current hp are at 117.

Oli uses his movement and Cunning Action (BA) to dash forward. He sees the dracolich near the prisoners and Ethan engaged at close range. He lifts and fires his hand crossbow at the dracolich. "I hope I made it in time and that he goes down soon." Oli replies to the call for action.

Hand crossbow attack (in log): 27
Piercing damage (in log): 9 + sneak attack: 30: total 39

<ooc: if I have movement left, could I move after using the attack action? Newish to 5e so not sure if BA movement from dashing would allow me to move back. Then again I guess I could use BA to move first then use regular movement to get into view, fire, then step back? For now, I'll leave Oli where he stopped to fire, just want to know for future options.>
