He then moves to the front and looks at the trap that Trisk fell into before eying the distance between it and the other side of the passage.
"We can all easily make the jump or teleport over this, unless if you guys have any other solutions on how to get pass this without doing what I suggested." Either way, Ethan will be the first to jump over it if he can. (Athletics: 19)
(Unless if that phantasmal thing or Thuria is still around, there aren't any enemies that are in sight that Ethan can target)
Just to note: the trap door is a 5x5 un a 10fr wide hallway. You could jump overl it, but also just walk around it. That's why I rolled the d2 to see if Trisk fell in in the first place.
Ethan jumps over it withoit issue and into the blue-ish floaring semicorporeal giant disembodied ha d waiting on the other side.
<mechanically, Ethan occupies the space bit the hand, in a duct-tape-y sort of design decision, does not occupy the space it is in, owing, in part, to the elegant choice to make it an object. If the ballista even makes any damage, Randy will follow up with a Fire Bolt; He literally can't use anything else at this point that's not in melee range, let alone without using spell slots.

After the magical assist out of the pit trap by Tetrevess, Trisk will move around the pit and join the others on the other side in their fight against the disembodied hand.
Attack: 19 Damage: 13 necrotic damage, and it can't regain hit points until the start of my next turn. Until then, the ghostly, skeletal hand clings to the target.
If you hit an undead target, it also has disadvantage on attack rolls against you until the end of my next turn.
In an effort to downplay what just happened to him, "Yeah, I had to double check to make sure. That is indeed a nasty pit trap, be careful and watch your step."
Trisk tries to position himself as close to where Piccolo ended up on the other side of the pit trap, same side, left or right etc. etc.

(@Dm Yeah sorry I said because when that hand came and you describe it as phantasmal I thought... you know, as with all ghosts, physical and ranged attacks will pass through them harmlessly as if they were made of some gas. That's what I imagined)

My concern with rolling initiative every room is that it will slow down the game. But I will call for new initiatives at some point I deem appropriate.
I'm not going to rewind time now, but if I had known earlier, you might have had a chance to do something on round 1. I think 5e's surprised condition is far more confusing and cumbersome than the surprise round, but it's what we're stuck with. Thus is why I almost never use it. Here I just thought it would be true for thus scenario.
(No worries. One way to speed init is for you to roll all inutritive at once, instead of waiting for all of us to post. Some of the 5e rules are awkward.)
