The door creaks open, and a little old woman totters forward. She wears a grimy, old-fashioned shawl, and her skin looks like gnarled bark. A large iron key extends from her back, ticking rhythmically as it rotates
Seeing Cradlefall in a cage her expression sours and she demands "What's going on here? Where are the children?!"
Answering the hag, Uriel says, "We came here to talk with you, but some of our number decided to explore a bit. Cradlefall ordered the soldiers to attack us and the children ran away from the battle--I am not sure exactly where they are now. I'm sure if he promises to behave himself and stop breathing poison on us he will be released from his cage."

Piccolo will try to disengage, dash, if needed get step and join Trisk and Uriel. Standing very shyly in the back. She will use true sight to look on the witch.
"Did Chucklehead not ask you politely to wait in the parlor? You've startled the children." Looking to the cage containing the dragon, she asks rhetorically, and did Cradlefall breathe on you before or after you put him in a cage?" With that, she casts polymorph on tne dragon and he turns into a tiny six-winged insect with a long abdomen, who out of the cage and takes flight. I think we should all sit down and talk about what's going on here. Now we just need some CHAIRS." She says the last word louder than the rest.
Piccolo looks at her with true sight but also studies her she notes the key and with the expert timing of a musician, she takes special note of the rhyming timing of the keys movement. If the key slows down at all, she will move over and wind it quickly. She wonders of the key could be removed and even more so, if the key could be used in a door, like most keys. She listens but at the same time is looking for other clues, out of place things, and clearly will not sit. Come to think of it, piccolo really has not stopped moving unless hiding. Almost like a humming bird, Her normal level of energy involved movement. (perception and true sight: 20)

Sam looks up “we isn’t this interesting” he tightens his grip on his glaive
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drain:
Drain will take a look at the hag to see if she has anything else on her that wasn't there before. Specifically a Unicorn horn. He still has see invisibile up.
perception 18
He will also cast message to Sam
Remember the horn, if she knows something we should ask her before killing her, although I kinda would like to kill her.
"With all this confusion I think it might be wise to get right down to brass tacks" suggests the wind-up woman. "I'm interested in locating a unicorn horn. If you return it to me, I'll reward you handsomely."
<there are other things she'd like you to do, but the rewards are originally predicated on the precept that you have lost somwthing in your youth and your personal motivst6ion in this story is to retreive it. If your interested in pursuing this, mention it to her.>
Piccolo hiding on the roof, will try move to a hidden location where she can quietly peak in and do actions as above. (Stealth 21)
Shes in the pumpkin patch being confronted by lots of things that see her standing there with Trisk. Snakes, tin soldiers, an as yet unresponsive shambling mound. There's a girl climbing into a pigpen there's all the action in the place where she actually is. Meanwhile the others are distracting the antagonist.
Trying to run now sets multiple aoo and sounds the alarm for everything else to converge here.. is that really what you want to do?
(I'm failing to understand the environment Piccolo is in. By any means that is sneaky, (STEALTH: 27) Piccolo will move toward the entrance. She has Cunning action Disengage to avoid AOO, she has feystep to teleport 30 feet, she has stealth to be super sneaky, she could even cast minor illusion and look like a giant snake. Basically, whatever makes sense that does not trigger attacks from the creatures she has spotted and gets her closer to Granny.)
(ooc: are any of the creatures taking up a guard position for granny?)

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
This tells me Trisk is there with Picollo, who climbed out a window, scaled the log, entered a second story eondow, dealt with a sick kid, snuck past some guards and back out the other side of the log, down the stairs and into the pumpkin patch. That triggers the snakes. They are the security system. You're busted. But they're not attacking you they're challenging you. If yoi can hide in a pumpkin patch, you can try to hide, bit they're going to find you. Running might work. It will 100% sound a full alarm though.
Anyone dealing with Cradlefall tbe dragon or the witch is inside. Trisk called out regarding the snakes, so I assume he is with her.
(ooc: are any of the creatures taking up a guard position for granny?)
Trisk is nowhere near Granny so he doesn't know, but she's not being overtly threatening despite the fact you decided to wander through her house and disturbed tbe children in the workshop and put her pet in a cage. She's actually offering you work. I led with the unicorn horn since the group asked about it. She's looking for it, herself. If you talk to her she'll tell you her sister Bavlorna lost it.
She did call loudly for chairs, though. Otherwise jts just her and Cradlefall, (now a dragonfly lookong thing) in the room.
(Piccolo will try to recall what she knows of Granny Nightshade, or of a powerful feywild being that has that as a nickname. If she knows anything she would like to assess if what she knows is the being is a positive influence on the fey wild or one that wishes it harm.
She will also use her piccolo to communicate with the two snakes, (An image of her carefully tending to the garden and feeding the snakes) (Telepathic communication...picture a snake charmer: Persuasion: 26), she will also try to reason with the mound, projecting a picture that she lived with several mounds for over a century in a dark place, and they helped take care of her and were her friends. If all else fails she will either charm the snakes or come up with another option. She also keeps an eye on Trisk to make sure nothing attacks him.
”A unicorn horn, you say,” says Uriel, “And your sister lost it? Perhaps while traveling or maybe at home? Please tell us where she lives and we can ask her where she last had it.”
