The red light around Sparhawk causes a tingling sensation and seems to slow his movement. Then there is a voice that says
” Arcane Tower visiting hours begin at sunrise and end at the 20th hour. For After hours service please leave a message at the sound of the horn. You will have a maximum of 25 words…”
after a second or two, the deep bellowing horn sound emanates from the door way.
Sparhawk stops moving, feeling the spell effect his movement and not wanting to escalate the automated spell trap. He wished it was a guard dog instead. He looks over his shoulder at Sorsha, expecting her to speak for the group.
[Roughly how high off the ground is this red gemstone? By the illustration it seems like probably 20+ feet?]
Edit: [If it's no more than 30 feet, Bjorn snaps his fingers to wordlessly grab Sorsha's attention. He grins deviously and mouths the words, "say it in just 23 words." And he raises an eyebrow as if inviting her to take a leap of faith.]

Hearing the voice Sorsha steps forward, waiting for the sound of the horn, then speaking in a firm voice. "Sorsha Deepfathom and crew here to see Kutoti Irongrass in an urgent matter regarding Abernath the Infernal."
(To be clear, anyone who would want to speak could obviously do so. Although Sorsha thinks she should be the one to do speak for the crew that doesn't mean her player expects everyone to agree with that. :-)
Bjorn tries to count words as Sorsha [and whomever else] speaks. [Intelligence check if needed?] 6
When he's sure there's only a couple of words left [or when it seems like everyone's said their piece], he suddenly shouts, "Stop, thief!" [And fills out the remaining 25 words with things like, "Get back here! What do you think you're doing?! The Brotherhood will have your head!"]
Then he waits a moment, scanning for any wizards who might appear.
Sorsha turns and faces Bjorn with a smirk. "And you're just full of surprises. Just make sure they don't get us all killed." She says plainly before turning her attention back to the door.
Sparhawk prays to his goddess. As balance is a big part of his code, he feels the party helping as good Samaritans on the beach and thereby helping the town will ultimately lead to a favorable outcome with these wizards. He chuckles a bit under his breath as his friends have two opposite approaches. "B A L A N C E" he says. Funny and Formal.
Bjorn whispers to Sorsha, "all the guards are back at the beach, and the wizards seems to be sleeping. Any of you can run off if you'd like, but you'll not share the profits."
[Even if there are wizards coming, I doubt I'm seeing them with that roll, so] Bjorn approximates the distance between himself and the eye, and then circles around it, in order to approach the building somewhere on its side without getting any closer to the eye. He takes off his backpack and retrieves the sleeve of climbing pitons, the rope, and the hammer, as well as his handy crowbar, which he hooks where his axe used to be.
[The goal here is to get as close as possible to the eye without entering its line of sight. Going up the side, and possibly reaching down from above it. He doesn't care about damaging the walls with his pitons, but he doesn't want to spend too long here (5 minutes?), so he might cut corners on safety. If he reaches it, he's going to try and pry the gem loose with his crowbar.]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sparhawk will wait for a few moments for a response to the most excellent message and to be entertained by Bjorn. However, if I understand it right, making my save vs the spell, I can advance and knock pending further difficulties??? (Will also do an investigation check/ perception, looking for other options, traps, doors, etc. : 13
"Are you out of your mind Bjorn? Do you have a death wish?" Sorsha snarls as she sees Bjorn starting to climb the wall of the Arcane Host Tower. "You will probably get yourself killed and possibly us too. The wizards in there are really powerful and won't hesitate to kill you if they see you climb their wall."
"Indeed. Let's wait and see if they respond." Sparhawk says sternly, not wanting anyone to get hurt. "These wizards have put too much into their pretty tower to have the likes of us damage it by climbing." He's still considering banging on the door but will wait for now.
Bjorn explains in a disappointed tone, "I agree that the damnable thief's crimes continue to mount, one on top of another. It wasn't enough that he snatched the gem, he had to go and deface the tower as well! If we hadn't been so exhausted from our heroic victory at the beach, we might have caught the bastard. Gods know we gave chase."
(OOC: Um, yes, I haven't played much with Dwar yet but the DM's I know better would consider your action suicidal and quite frankly very dangerous to your teammates too.)

Ah, I used the basic tab, got a 14+4, so next time its the ability tab?

No. The basic tab is correct. Usually it will show the result of the dice roll when hovered over, but it isn’t working for me for some reason.
[I can see the roll. Technology... gotta love it]

Vars also eyes Sorsha, debating on whether or not to speak up himself.
[Pretty sure Oberon won't be responding tonight. They're in a different time zone]
20’ or so is about right
[Yeah, that's why I'm going to wait on having Vars speak up. Though he probably would.]

[I should probably do Perception with that] 5

[Welcome to Bjorn's lifestyle, lol.]
