Sorsha follows the others over to the center of dock 3. "Remember, we're meeting with Mr. Fist again so I assume we're going somewhere he would be able to go and unlikely somewhere we would have to swim." She says as she starts to investigate the secret seagull and the pole it is sitting on, pondering if there could be some sort of mechanism opening a secret entrance to a hidden area under dock 3.

"Maybe there is a small stick we can float in that area and see what happens. I'm thinking we will need to find a small skiff and float through that area to meet him or an under-dock secret cavern." Investigation: 11
Bjorn sullenly indicates the image of the bottles. "Perhaps the trick is that we have to get drunk. This plan would be amenable to my present disposition."

Taking a closer look at the seagull, you discover the left foot is attached to the pole with what appears to be a hinge, like a lever of some sort.

There are no sticks around you could float and it is difficult to get a view under the dock. But you do notice the water ripples differently in this section of the dock.

"Please let it be a secret door." Sorsha says expectantly and tries to pull the seagull like a lever, looking around for anything that might open or change. Perception if needed: 8
Bjorn looks around to any passersby, hoping to use Minor Illusion to create a distraction in case anyone happens to be looking towards the party. After all, giving away Fist's secret wouldn't reflect well on the group's job performance.
As Sorsha pulls the seagull to the left, you can hear the sound of chains and gears moving. A 2’x3’ section of planks slides back revealing a ladder leading down into a dark room, approximately the same width of the dock.
Bjorns creates an illusion of a flock of seagulls wrestling over some food, which in turn attracts some real seagulls . Making it difficult for anyone down the dock or on other docks to see what is going on.
The sun is just under the horizon and the sky is lightening up. It is getting to be much easier to see the area and the carnage on the beach. You can see many bodies with cloaks draped over as members of all the ships tend to the dead and the giant crab carcasses. Nothing will go to waste and you imagine the fish market will be brimming with fresh crab meat for a few days

Sorsha turns and gives Bjorn a thumbs up and a quick smile before climbing down the ladder, looking down as she climbs, then motioning for the others to follow her quickly. Perception: 8
Once at the bottom of the ladder Sorsha can see the room is more of a hallway. It goes about 30’ and there is a door with brass knocker. The knocker is a fist gripping a serpent that makes a ring. On the door is carved lettering saying “ Dock 9”
Sorsha also can see a large lever next to the ladder, presumably to shut the hidden door.
After everyone enters and the door is closed. A gentle light fills the room, about the amount of light from a couple of candles.
Sorsha looks back to make sure everyone is down and the trapdoor is closed before moving up to the door with the brass knocker, gripping the ring and knocking nine times, for good measure.
"You can say that again," Vars grumbles, the dim lighting giving him flashbacks of his time below deck on his father's ship. "I doubt it is, but still..."
"Well, if he's trying to rob us, we haven't gotten paid yet. And if he's trying to kill us, he should've given us instructions on how to get here. As it stands, we told a few people we were trying to meet him specifically, so if we went missing, he'd be suspect number one."
Bjorn says this a bit too loudly, hoping whoever's on the other side of the door sees the logic in it and decides not to attack.
A few moments after knocking. The door creaks open. There is a goblin standing there wearing a red silk robe over his clothing and wearing a sailor cap. He starts off by saying, “ Welcome to dock 9, come in, come in…”
the inside a large sitting room, filled with fine furniture. The floor has an exquisite carpet of unknown origin filled with beautiful designs and images of fruits, plants and creatures none of you have ever seen before. There are several comfortable looking couches along the wall and small table with a silvered platter in the middle. “Please, take a seat and place the envelope your received from Irongrass on the platter. Mr. Fist will be with you shortly”
with that, the goblin turns and walk towards the far wall and disappears.
Eberk points out his findings to the group. “Look at the carving. Three bottles with three X’s. That’s nine. Maybe it’s a clue?”
" Or a ménage à trois......no, yours makes more sense....though less fun..."
" Maybe we can only see it with magical sight........I don't have that......yet."

Sparhawk quickly drops down behind her, alert for any signs of danger, sword and shield at the ready.

"Feels like a trap to me." Says Sparhawk, feeling a bit on edge after the strange evening events.

[He disappears into the wall? Is everybody in this town a wizard? Lol]
Bjorn smirks and sits his bird-poop-covered self on a couch. "What? We got here by carefully following instructions, right? Why stop now?"
