Xorin whispers behind Kasandra, "I count six, maybe seven." and then allows her to gain ground ahead of him, passing the message on estimated numbers to the rest. He'll try to keep a distance of about 10 or 15 feet behind Kasandra.

Ayrlin and Earling move up the lane way to the corner and creep around it to the north. The lane way continues for another fifty feet and then opens out into what looks like a courtyard. The entrance is bordered by a thick green hedge that is about 10 feet in height, the cobbles give way to sandstone paving and random squares of well tended lush green grass. A soft tinkling suggests that there is a fountain somewhere ahead.
Ten feet on, the view is mostly blocked by another ten foot high hedge. Over this and just past the western limit of the hedge you see goblins and their weapons poking a creature curled up in a net. It looks roughly like and ogre and howls in anger and pain as the cackling goblins poke and prod it, The net is suspended about six feet off the grass and sandstone. You estimate there are about 5 goblins tormenting the creature in the net, just beyond, to the north, another goblin guards a second entrance to the courtyard.
Kasandra and Braddik have a very limited view of the courtyard from the corner fifty feet behind. Ayrlin and Earling think that they can see about one third of the whole courtyard from their hidden vantage. To get a better idea of the situation they would have to move to just inside the area so they can see beyond and around the hedges.
Kasandra has not found any traps in her search thus far.
Grigor stays behind and lets the other team members scout. He was still too busy with the stone. While everyone seems to be scouting ahead, Grigor takes the opportunity to test the stone.
Question for DM:
Do i see with the stone any secret passages?

With her view obscured by the hedges moves forward quietly to get a better angle to see past them. She watches her step, not wanting step on anything that may make noise or trigger a trap.
Ayrlin approaches one of the goblins that are attacking the poor creature, drawing his rapier and moving as silently as possible to be able to surprise the goblin once the fight starts.
Stealth: 6
But instead of doing that, he steps on a round stone that as on the floor, he slips on the floor, moving his arms widely to avoid falling in the floor in big circles. He, somehow still on the round peeble wich starts to roll forwards, keeps his balance for one more second, and then the inertia of his movement pulls him over the shoulders of the gobling he was trying to sneak upon. He rest there for a few seconds, with the arms on the shoulders of the goblin and his face near its neck.
There is an akward moment of silence as they both, the goblin and the elf, looks into each other’s eyes, not really knowing what just happened.
“Well...” he says managing to stand up and release the goblin from his weird embrace.
“... that’s just embarrashing. Hello there!” He says
Well looks like the fun begins :P Ayrlin please roll initiative for the party! No surprise for either side unfortunately, or fortunately ;)

The five goblins tormenting the creature in the net all go silent and stop moving.
Then the goblin in Ayrlin's awkward embrace makes strangled confused whimper and then shouts, "Attack, attack, elves from nowhere aaaaaarrrrrggghhhhhh!"
Frandal has angered the Dice Gods by the looks of it :P
All of the goblins begin running in random directions squealing and squeaking in fright. Ayrlin watches in bemused refaced wonder.
He sees the the goblin guarding the exit to the north turn and give him a frightened look, and another standing at an exit to the east do the same. What grabs his attention most of all is the hobgoblin by the wall to the east flanked by another two goblins. He stops leaning on the wall, smiles, and barks, "Get into line you snotty scum! Form up and lets kill this intruder."
The hobgoblin picks up a bow and begins to knock and draw a shaft. The goblins at his side [2] draw sword and shield and take stance guarding his flanks. The other goblins [7] start moving to the fountain to form a rank.
OOC:
This is a kind of surprise round, the enemy is not very well disciplined and taking their time getting into fighting order. Be wary though, goblins, if lead well, are dangerous in numbers ;)
Your go! I will let you imitative turns happen according to posting order, seems easiest and most logical.
Xorin moves up to a point just to where he can see the goblins and fires off Ray of Frost at one of the 7 by the fountain. If it's not enough to kill one out right it should at least slow it down some.

Kasandra knows the effectiveness of the goblin formation led by a hob and curses dropping her handaxe and quickly performing a series of gestures before slamming her palm into the ground with a burst of green energy. From the center of the goblin formation, vines begin to rip through the stone, grasping and pulling at the creatures. She draws her shield and charges after Braddik entering the fray.
Entangle - 20ft square from the center of goblin formation is difficult terrain. 12 DC STR Save or restrained
Not exactly sure what the map looks like here, but I think it goes: Party came from the south, sight blocked by a row of hedges; party vanguard moves toward the western edge of the hedges where the 7 goblin formation can be seen 50 ft. or so away along with whatever ogre thing they were poking; lone goblin to the north near another entrance to the room; hobgoblin and two guards to the east of the vanguard's position with a fountain between the their position and the vanguard; lone goblin beyond the hobgoblin guarding a third entrance to the room.
If Ayrlin went back behind the hedge wall to the south, the nearest goblin is still probably one of the 7 in formation he moved away from unless he moved all the way around to the east and is now engaging the hob or one of its guards. Alternately, he could have moved towards the hedges in the north and is now engaging the guard to the north (probably more of what he intended as he was hiding from the hob).
Braddik has charged out and is now engaging the goblin formation and probably needs to make the DC 12 STR save (should be easy); Kassandra is with him though doesn't have make the save as it only grabs when cast. Not sure if she has the speed to make it all the way to Braddik as the area is difficult terrain
Earling is close to Braddik and Kasandra, but not engaged with the goblins or close enough to be affected by the spell
Xorin is at the western edge of the plant wall (where Kasandra and Braddik used to be) firing at formation
The rest of the party is still at the southern entrance equally distant from the formation to the west and the hob to the east (though they can probably only see the formation).
When the fight begins, Grigor stops concentrating on the stone "I Just look away for a second and you start a fight" he jokingly says to the others.
He moves to the others to get an overview of the situation (trying to stay behind the Meelee-fighters of the group). The Hobgoblin seems to give the orders here. Without him, the goblins seem completely unstructured. So he'll be his target.
As in the last fight, the three arcane balls appear in front of his hand again. As he simulates a throwing movement with his hand, all three projectiles fly towards the Hobgoblin.
Ayrlin recovers quickly, thrusting at a retreating goblin staggering the creature.
Xorin sends a stream of ice blue at another, it is covered in hoarfrost and squeals in pain, whimpering now as it slowly tries to reach its fellows.
Braddik charges into the courtyard and spies a goblin on the right flank, intercepting the nasty little thing he almost cuts it in two, its life spent the corpse flops down messily onto the sandstone tiles.
Intoning fey like syllables Kasandra's hand strikes a patch of grass and a rippling line races along the ground and erupts vines leaping into the air and swinging wildly trying to trap anything they touch.
The writhing vines trap one goblin and their leader!
Grigor can hear the Hobgoblin shouting commands and then runs to the right flank with Corvus and Braddik for a clear line of sight to the Goblins captain. Glowing balls streak across the courtyard and slam, bam! bam! bam! into the much larger combatant. It roars in pain and swings the bow around in Grigor's direction an evil grin on its face.
Corvus intones the war cry of his god. Rushing in to fight on the left flank with Ayrlin and Xorin he grasps his holy symbol and points with his mace at the entangled hobgoblin casting Sacred Flame Radiant light streaks down from he heavens and bathes the hobgoblin captain. He grunts in more pain.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xorin takes a quick assessment of his options and since he's never actually tried it before, he points at the Hobgoblin and casts Toll the Dead causing a huge bell sound around the creature briefly. Regardless of the results he slips behind the hedge for a bit of cover until his next turn.
