It used to be okay as long as you edited below any dice rolls, but it’s been getting increasingly bad… 😢
Where the DM is happy with it, I’ve been rolling on character sheet and copying the results into the posts (shows in the Game Log, so all above board!)
Backstory: Nuotrin was a minotaur who has lost his parents and lived in the streets. He survived by stealing from other people and creatures. 8 years ago, he came upon a carnival called the Witchlight Carnival and met a kind elf there who helped him(giving him clothing and food). He was moved by the elf's kindness, and he vowed that he would help defend the defenseless people. Nuotrin also tried to search for the elf who helped him, but he failed. He decides to go to the Witchlight Carnival to search for him.
Do I have to choose between the two backgrounds?
No, I just included them in the thread in case you didn't own a copy of the book or simply ignored these where offered as an option
I'm so excited! When are we gonna start? also I need help understanding the rules again since its been years since I played this.
With your character completed most rolls will be determined by rolling a d20 + whatever mod appears in your sheet (I can help you with more detailed stuff, let me.know with a direct message or we can also create a discord for everyone to join and use it as OOC ((out of character)) space)
They are rolling because of their background. It gives them a trinket (objets). Not everybody needs that, for example, my character has the background "Sage" and therefore does not need to roll for a trinket
During the story, you will roll also. The DM will tell you when and what skill to use :) For example: your character wants to lift something heavy, the DM will probably ask you to roll a dice of Strength Check to see if your character can actually do it
Yeah, I've just stopped editing any posts with any dice rolls. It's very frustrating. Here's a thread to which we can all contribute our constructive thoughts, hopefully it'll get some notice. https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/139450-dice-roller-in-forum-acting-buggy
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Campaign links for Game Log access because DDB has abandoned the forum dice roller, apparently.
Radiant Citadel by cbaer8 ~•~ Stormwreck Isle by Rforrest14 ~•~ Wildspace by Rhanloi ~•~ Rise of Tiamat by SteveThaiBinh ~•~ The Long Road currently by me
