"So you want us to go where exactly to find this out, into the crypt of this tiresome fellow?" Etrigan asks curiously, not seeming the least discouraged by this prospect.
"Sure. I'm in," Rohesia responds to the halfling. "You just need folks to go in and let you know what's happening?" she asks. "I don't think I need to understand everything to go and observe. Although, it would help to know where we're going. Inside the Spire?"
"In the Spire? Oh no dearie, UNDER the spire! The Spire is just the top of the lock, so to speak!"
The large windows of the zeppelin's passenger bubble reveal you approach to the spire. Although it is surrounded by lush forests and snow capped mountains, there's a bald patch of land around the obelisk where it seems vegetation fears to tread. The barren land here has formed into a rotten, lichen padded bog where the Spire rises as if it had been thrust into heart of the Earth itself, a wound from which the land has been unable to recover. "We call this place the Scab," says Lorita. "Nature itself recoils from Belovarr's remains. The magic wielded to seal him away has wounded the earth itself. See how the soil seems to bleed? But still, the land can heal. One day. It just takes time. Maybe it is foolish I still hold hope that underneath this scarred earth, fresh, bountiful soil will emerge. All right! Down we go!"
"Oh," Rohesia says. "I hope there's a way in and we don't have to dig!" She says, somewhat jokingly. She takes a moment to look more closely at the terrain. It certainly didn't look like the most hospitable place she had ever seen. But probably not the worst either.

"Fascinating."Etrigan says, almost awestruck, almost, looking at the scab beneath them. "This tiresome wizard must be powerful indeed, this will prove interesting."He says with an confident smile. "Will there be time to visit that armory before we journey beneath the spire?"
"That is incredible! Awful, but still incredible. I've never seen anything like it!" Athyra says as she looks down at the Scab. "This will definitely be an experience!"

"I am unsure why, but I feel I need to help out," Daj says as he listens to Lorita explain the situation. "It sounds your like commnity has been dealing with this issue long enough. Anything we can do to help make things right again in this area, I at least am willing to do." Daj looks at the lays his hand on the head of his warhammer and feels the symbol of Helm carved into the side. Surely a servant of Helm protects wherever he finds himself.
"Wonderful!" She exclaims and walks to another compartment of the zeppelin, not too large, but a pair of doors swing open and she begins pulling a few things out and handing them to you all: A periapt of wound closure, a goggles of night, a pair of bracers of archery, and a wand of magic missiles. She walks back to you all and looks between you for a moment, "Well, this is what I have on hand right now, hopefully you can get some use out of it." She waits a beat then turns back to the side of the ship and begins tossing an anchor and rope overboard as you are getting much closer to the Spire.
It is getting much windier the closer you get, "You're going to need to find a place to anchor us down there! Hard to tell from up here the best place but once you're down on the ground shouldn't be too hard I think! Alright, down you go then!"
As you descend the rope, it's clear a storm is approaching, a steady wind shaking the trees and tossing the zeppelin off its trajectory. You sway in the gusts but manage to hang on. As you feet touch down, the ground is boggy and the mud you uncover with each step is a rich, thick crimson-- the color of blood.

Etrigan accepts the periapt and follows their hostess, unfolding his bat-like wings as he leaps out of the flying craft. Descending quickly through the windy gusts foretelling the storm, Etrigan searches the boggy, blood-coloured ground for a suitable place to anchor the craft above him.
"Thanks!" Athyra says as she accepts the Bracers, "We'll get this mess sorted out."
Lowering herself down from the rope, she lands softly on the muddy ground. Once there she kicks some of it around. "This is really interesting mud. I wonder if it has any harmful properties, other than keeping some plants from growing..." She says this to no one in particular. Then she looks around for a place to anchor the zeppelin.

Rohesia looks over at Daj. "I suppose I could make use of either item. I think. I've never used a wand before, but how hard could it be? I have never really used ranged weapons, so, that could be useful. But I cannot see at all in the dark either, so could use the goggles." She shrugs. "The choice is yours, sir."
She looks about as well for a place to set the anchor. She's not totally sure what that would be, but she guesses something more solid than most of this muck. (Perception: 11)
"Thanks, I am at least a little familiar with magic, so it may be best if I take the wand. I am more than capable of holding my own in darkness, if it comes to that." Daj takes the offered wand of magic missiles, looking for somewhere to tuck it into the outside of his pack, where he can easily access it if needed. Grabbing one of the ropes He scrambles down, looking for somewhere to help anchor the ship.

If he spots anything he calls back up to those still on the ship.
Everyone except Athyra who is apparently still trying to figure out the bloody mud it seems, notes that the Spire itself is the best choice for anchoring the zeppelin as it is tossed about by the encroaching storm. Anything else in a good sized radius is too soft or small to be of any use.
(If you wish to attempt to anchor the ship to the Spire, make a Strength check and a Sleight of hand check. You may roll with advantage if someone is helping you.)
Focusing on the ground, Athyra continues to kick the bloody mud mess. "Yeah I don't see anything here that can hold that thing to the ground. Absolutely nothing."
After Taj selected the wand, Rohesia had gone ahead and taken the goggles.
Seeing the Spire and realizing it could be a spot to anchor too, she moves to grab the anchor from where it fell. "Alright, who's going to help me with this?" (Rohesia would have +4 and +2 to the rolls. If someone else wants to help her. If someone wants to do it themselves then she will provide help to them.)

"Thank you... sir," she says, not quite sure of how to address him. Grabbing the anchor, with Etrigan's help, she tries to get it secured. (STR Check: 15. Sleight of Hand: 8)
The wind suddenly picks up again as you attempt to secure the anchor to the dark Spire, but it proves to be just a bit too much, even for the two of you! You can see Lorita watching you earnestly as the rope anchor begins to slip slowly from there you attempted to bind it, and the Spire itself seems to shimmer with a continuously building glow. There is burst of light from the clouds above as lightning crackles down from the sky, snaking around the Imperius before slamming into the Spire. Thunder booms as energy courses through the obelisk and into the ground beneath you. The entire structure starts to shake, and a large crevasse similar to those you encountered during the earthquake begins to from as the loose earth beneath you shifts. A fire surges up the rope that attempts to anchor the zeppelin to your position...
"Can anyone do anything about that fire!" Rohesia yells, trying to be heard over the wind. Watching out for the crevasse now opening, she looks about for anything that might be able to help with the fire. "We're still going to need to anchor this thing too. We didn't get it the first time."
Athyra finally realizes what the others are trying to do. Seeing the fire, she scoops up some of the mud covering her hands in it, then jumps up to grab the rope where the fire starts and slide down it, hopefully putting out the fire.
