Reygon, as you scream out the crowd noticably quiets, although a good number of people keep up the chase.
Nagas, you see a few people with clubs, but nothing more lethal than that. You also see a number of city watch gathering in the area.
Felorin, firstly what you know about the twelve is that they are a group of philosophers who are elected to lead the city. You also know that over time, the idea of the freely elected government gave way to lies and treachery. You also can clearly tell that this Leonin is threatened for his life. The first person you see is a middle aged minotaur. She turns towards you and says "You clearly haven't been in town long. He is one of the twelve. He only got elected because he's rich. We all hate upstarts like him, only cares about murder when it's one of them."
Ino, you see a decent chunk of the crowd begin to give chase, but most of them seem content with having driven him off. You do find a number of rocks, and you can purchase of ball of string for two coppers.

Reygon will continue chasing the Leonin. Once enough of their pursuers stop chasing them, he will say, "Hey! Hold up! I'm not going to attack you or anything! I just want to know what's goin' on!"
Feloren nods her thanks to the middle aged minotaur woman and will move up to be with Nagas. She does not want to split up the group any more than they already have.

Ino pockets two of the stones, a bigger one and a smaller one, and buys two balls of string. He's not particularly interested in what's going on around him, but he still clambers onto the rooftop after the other two. Sitting down, he gets out one ball of string and a stone, and measuring one against the other he gets to work, making two small pouches out of the string. After a few minutes of braiding, knotting, and generally ignoring whatever is going on around him, he's finished. He places the stones in their pouches. Perfect fit, just as intended. See that, Purphoros? I'm getting better at fiber arts every day.
He smiles and adds the final artistic touch, taking out a small file and scratching a fine "R" onto the back of the bigger stone. A single line is filed onto the back of the smaller one. He dusts them off with a finger, holding them in his palm and reaching inside himself for the magic needed to bring these to life. He slings the smaller one around his neck and pockets the other one, and scans the streets below for his brother.

Nagas, it will be fairly clear, with some clouds coming in later.
Reygon, as you approach the leonin slows to a step and looks around nervously. "New to Meletis, I see. I am Drerthid, one of the twelve. Riots like this have been happening since the first assassination. They've started turning violent."
Ino, you see the general direction your brother ran, and can catch up fairly quickly.

"That I am." Reygon replies, "How long have these assassinations been happening? Is there anything that I can do to help? ....also, what do you mean by being one of the "twelve"? Obviously you are part of the city government, but what does that position entail? Also, what makes the public think you aren't doing your job?"
"Of course not! We do everything we can to stop crime. These people just don't understand that we can't just wave a hand and majic a murderer into prison. It takes time to find a suspect and hold a trial. If we imprison someone on false charges, everyone hates us. If we don't find a murderer within ten minutes of a death, everyone hates us. The first assassination was a week ago. These are the second and third ones. The twelve is the core of the goverment in Meletis. We each oversee a different part of the city. I oversee investigations and trials. They just hate that we can't find people to shove behind bars fast enough. As for help... if you could put a stop to assassinations, we would all be in your debt. Nobody knows what the goal of this assassin is. They've killed three of the twelve, though. If you can stop someone who seems to know exactly when the rulers of this city will be unguarded for five seconds, I'd certainly be impressed."

At this point Nagas comes out of wild shape. He sits there with Feloren and Ino- "Doesn't seem like anyone in the crowd was looking to necessarily kill the guy, but they definitely wanted to hurt him. You think the crowd is in the right?" He holds his trident and stares at the symbol of Thassa thats engraved near the head. "Hopefully Witas and Reygon can find some stuff out. Looks like they're talking to him."
"I don't think we know enough about what is going on yet to make that call" Feloren responds to Nagas. "But this may be why the gods have called us here. We should go and catch up to Witas and Reygon."
If she sees Ino, she will also tell him to join them with the others, and then moves to where Witas and Reygon are talking to the Leonin.
Paladin training. Ino smirks at the prospect of his big brother, looking for the next chance to play hero. I wonderwhat they're talking about. It looks serious. Maybe he's confronting him about the crowd's reaction? The Leonin looks nervous. Hope he's not being rude. He's so lost in the labyrinth of his thoughts, he almost doesn't catch Feloren's suggestion to catch up with Reygon and Witas. He watches her move to their position. Wordlessly, he looks at Nagas to see what he does, and then follows Feloren down to the rest of the group. He steps very close to Reygon, still not talking.

Witas and Reygon, he addresses you saying "We only have two clues that we've found. First, each of the targets have been strangled with a garrote in their sleep. The garrote seems very thin, and is only wrapped around each neck twice. Second, this assassin seems new. We have contacted the other cities, as well as the public here, and nobody has reported anyone dying in this manner."
Everyone else, you arrive to catch the last couple words of this converation.

"Interesting," Reygon replies. Then he notices his brother, "Hey! Look who finally caught up!" He pats the satyr on the head, "Drerthid here needs some help finding out who's murdering people."
After sufficiently ruffling Ino's hair, Reygon takes his hand of the satyr's head and crosses his arms. Looking back at the Leonin, he says "How much time passed between each of the murders?"
I wonder what the others saw and if it was something as grim as what I saw. Nagas looks up and realizes that Ino and Feloren have joined the others near the Leonin. He hops down and steps over to Reygon, pats him on the back and casts Guidance and joins Feloren at her side. He nods to the Leonin he just heard is named Drerthid in acknowledgement.

Only slightly irked at his brother’s teasing, Ino grumbles something under his breath. “I was making something, you idiot.” Though he’s sure to be unsuccessful he tries to reach up and pry his brother’s hand away from his head. “And stop. My curls will separate.” He didn’t fully comprehend what Reygon had said until a few seconds later. His snowy ears shoot up from inside his (now) extremely frizzy hair. “Wait, you said murder? Who? Where? Why?” He turns to the Leonin, scrutinizing every move he makes.
Witas strokes his beard "Killed with a garrote and stealthy enough to kill council members. I assume most council members are well guarded"He begins pacing "May we look at the crime scenes?"
"The first murder was one week ago, and these two were last night. And of course, the twelve are well protected. Each of us have a specialized bodyguard, as well as normal guards. The bodyguards never leave our sides." He nods at a middle aged human woman leaning against the wall nearby. "She would've stepped in here if things got truly dangerous for my life. Somehow, the assassin has timed their attacks during the 15 minute nap each bodyguard takes every night. The bodyguards have been executed for their failures... I apologize, I'm rambling. Yes, you may investigate the crime scenes. Here is my official stamp. The guards will let you in." He hands you a card with his symbol on it. "I wish you the best with this. That said, I should probably make myself scarce before the crowd gets any ideas. Thank you again for your help." With that, he begins to walk away, the bodyguard tailing from about fifteen feet away.

"A question before you go, good sir. What exactly would someone gain by killing the Twelve? Would new votes for leadership be held? Also where are these crime scenes? Were the other murdered in their own homes, or do the twelve live together in a parliament building or something?" Feloren asks her questions and out of pure habit, watches the leonin very carefully as he responds. She is somewhat used to interrogating people.

Nagas perches on top of a roof with a good sight line to the city watch and Leonin.
