"Right. But if I do go 'splat' at the bottom," Ino puts his hands up, making an air-quotes sign, "I want everyone to know that it's Reygon's fault. Not anyone else's." He looks at Witas, then at Reygon, then back at the human with a big grin. "Got that? Good. I'll let you know what I find at the bottom." He steps down into the hole, making sure to be as quiet as possible as Reygon lowers him into the kitchen.
As he descends from the gap in the ceiling like some sort of large and unwanted spider, he puts his free hand up nervously. "We, uh, were sent by some leonin guy, one of The Twelve, I think, to investigate some of the recent murders. I was just in the room that, I have now learned, is, um, right above this one." A pause. "Did you know there's a dead body right above us?" His voice cracks. Something inside him wants to leave---immediately---as soon as that last sentence escapes his mouth but he suddenly remembers something as he sets a hoof on the floor. "Hey, Reygon? Witas?" He yells up the hole in the ceiling, "Do you mind, uh, do you mind passing me that card thing, the one that one guy gave you? There are some," he chuckles forcibly, "some guards down here. In a kitchen, and they're asking my who I am so it might be a good time to show them that we're not, uh, burglars."
Reygon looks surprised for a moment, like he had couldn’t remember what the were talking about. Then realization dawns on him. “Oh uh yes of course!” He laughs, “Here it comes!” He drops it directly down the hole, hoping that it will land in and stay in his brother’s curly hair.
