ooc: If that's the case, then...
Tandor took the box and examined it carefully. Then he turned to Mialee. "Can you help me keep it hidden on my body? Under my clothes, or whatever?"
Gilbert, you got one job until this box has been delivered. Keep an eye out for anyone or anyone trying to steal it. Best you keep a little distance from me, so no one knows your watching.
Got it, Tandor. Normally, Gilbert gave him no end of sarcasm but the familiar knew that on a job, it was time to do business.

"Sure thing, Tandor. Let's see here, if we can get it into an inner pocket of your clothes near the front, but nearer t' the side of you, then anyone trying to sneak it out'll have to get it past all your mail; and it's easy to get a hand stuck in the chains if you're slipping a hand into someone's vest. Tell you what, maybe we could fold a loop of mail into your tunic- it won't get noticed, but any thief'll get a tricky surprise, yeah? Just watch out for anyone bumping into you or similar, not that I have to tell you that."
Happy to expound upon a subject she's knowledgeable about, Mialee busies herself hiding away the box.
Sleight of hand or stealth roll (same bonus) in case you want one: 15
((Speaking of, going down fully kitted out with arms, armor and backpacks? Or leaving some behind? Going armed at the night market is permitted, but you'll stick out more.))

Mialee will leave her shortbow at house Kundarak- knives will work fine/are concealable and there’s probably not much use for a bow in a crowded marketplace.
As the sun dips below the horizon, the Dyn Singh Night Market twinkles to life, gradually igniting in a dazzling display. Hundreds of temporary stalls, tents, and vendor carts fill the Night Market with wonders to tempt even the pickiest customers. The shops surround three golden tents in a sunken plaza. Merchants look to have set up during the afternoon, but are just now opening at twilight when the evening’s cool air attracts customers. The smells of food carts filled with pot stickers, coconut desserts, spiced meats, sticky buns, and more drift amid bright bouquets of glowing flowers and magical lights in the shapes of vendors’ wares and whimsical mascots. Crowds of shoppers wander the stalls, drawn by the colors, smells, and music. The merchants seem to be primarily human, gnome, kobold and orcs.
You currently stand at the edge of the market, the bustling commerce stretching before you.

There's a lot to take in. Vendors of all sorts, selling all sorts of goods, from food to charms to clothes. If there was something someone wanted, they could almost certainly find it here...

Dain has brought his quarterstaff, but left his crossbow and javelins behind in the house. As they reach the market he frowns at the bussle and moves to ask for directions to their destination. Investigation is a 22...
You are given clear directions by a random person on the street, and following them, see a canvas tent built around a covered wagon, the sides of which are comprised of shelves that are now opened up to display their wares. There are a couple of customers inside, and two gnomes attending to them, who you take to be the proprietor and their assistant.

As they make their way towards Potent Potables, Tandor keeps an eye out for trouble, for anyone following them. He works with Gilbert [getting the Aid action] to help notice anything like that. Spying a stall selling spices, he drags the group in that direction, looking for something new for his concoctions.
"Howdy. I like to try my hand at some cooking from time to time. I like spicy and sweet. What do you suggest?" he asks when they get to the stall.

Mialee hangs back a bit and tries to scan the crowd for any cutpurses or the like, and especially anyone going after the party, then moves to join the others at the stall once she's satisfied.

Dain is concerned with just following the directions given to him, so lets the others keep an eye out for threats. He would slow down as members of their group check out other merchant stalls, but would be impatient to get moving again, wishing to get where they are going with the littlest fuss. Once there he would let the others do the speaking though, as words are not his strong point.
The motherly spice merchant smiles up at Tandor. "Spicy and sweet, just how I like my men! Here, try this, it's a dry rub, works best if you're smoking meat, but it'll do as a finish for any sort of dish you're looking to add that touch of something extra."
She dips a flat stick into the mixture and hands it to Tandor, it has a sweet yet savory taste, with bright fruity spice that builds into a warming, but not unpleasant heat.
There are folks who look at him, in his gear, but none who seem to be lingering and looking, or any fidgety fingers looking to explore his pockets. Mialee keeps a wary eye out for anyone working the crowd, thinking for a moment she sees someone suspicious, but they were just waiting to jump out and surprise a friend, and the two walk off arm in arm.
"Magic spices? You mean like "magic"? I'm a legitimate business woman, not a drug dealer!" she proclaims, her eyes flicking from Liber to Tandor's Pelorian garb.
Dain hangs back, trying not to seem too impatient.
