Slightly dejected at the ineffectiveness of his words but generally relieved that the immediate threat is gone, Gubo twists and shakes rapidly like a dog drying itself. "Good grief! What a swing," he chuckles, smiling at Ahorangi and Kowhatu while putting his instrument back in its case. "And you too," he adds, bouncing over to where Laszlo is dragging the innkeeper behind the counter and helping him with the task. "That was quite the finesse you showed with that rapier." With a grunt of effort, he sets the person down as gently as he can.
When Laszlo addresses the rest of the party, the harengon struggles to keep quiet and eventually bursts out into laughter. "Thanks! Glad someone appreciated it. Name's Gubo." He sticks out a clawed hand, offering an energetic handshake to whoever may take it. "Served... here an' there, different ships and different crews. Hopped around, you could say." He jumps over the counter, shouldering his dulcimer case. "And yes'm, look's like we've got bigger fish to fry. I'll be back before you can say 'jackrabbit.'" He starts making his way back to his room, half-running-half-hopping there.
Noticing Titus' reaction, however, he stops before he can leave the room. "What's got you so terrified? It's alright. I can stick with you if you want, I really only need my dulcimer anyways."
"You hear that Kowhatu? They like you! Right Cap'n, Gubo, I'm off to put on something pretty. Then let's go hunt some pirates," she says the last with a huge smile on her face and it's hard to tell if that makes her less intimidating, or more so. Ahorangi races upstairs to put on her chain mail. Once done, she will reconvene downstairs, quickly check on the Innkeeper to make sure they are OK, then look to her newly formed 'party'.
"Gubo is it? Being dddeeeaaad thats what, why you all wawa want to run out and try to fight these thththth things is crazy, bbbbb but I'm not staying alone." Titus scratching his neck the whole time.
Laszlo looks the slightly manic man over before turning to Gubo and saying, “Ah I’ve seen this before. Fellow has just had a bit too much of the ale.”The man continues to aggressively scratch his neck causing Laszlo to qualify the previous statement with, “…or maybe not.”
“Let’s start with your name yeah? I promise you it’s safer as a group out there than it is alone in here,” he says gesturing vaguely in the direction of the unconscious innkeeper.
"Titus, and its sssssss safer in hereeeeeeee together than ooooooo out thereeeeeee." Looking over his shoulder "You have aaaaaaaa pppp point." looking back at Laszlo "IIIIII I'll go."
"Sounds good, Ahorangi." Gubo nods in her direction quickly. He turns back to Titus, moving so his whole body is open and facing him. "That's understandable, man. No one wants do die, and stickin' together's the best way to keep that from happening. We'll be fine fighting the skeletons out 'ere." He pauses, scratching the fur behind his ear. "We just gotta stick together. Y'all got anything else you want to grab before we head out?" Looks at Titus, then behind him to Laszlo, then back again at Titus.
The screaming and shouting can still be heard as people rush to defend Leilon from the attack of the pirate skeletons. The sounds of metal striking against metal must be the sound of swords striking against each other in a fight.
For the moment, none of the other pirates have turned their attention to Umber Hulk's, and you do have a moment to grab any belongings. However, you don't know how long it will be before more pirates enter the inn.

Bounding down the stairs with the energy of a kid on Deadwinter Day, the simple grin on Ahorangi's face once again offsetting the otherwise daunting visage of a warrior clad in rusty chain mail bearing a heavy maul like it was a small toy. Ahorangi barely notices the glances passing between Gubo, Laszlo and Titus as she positively dances from foot to foot in poorly contained excitement.
"Come on, let's go! This will be fun!"
Waiting momentarily to see if they follow, she rushes out the door and looks for the closest skeleton.
As Ahorangi steps outside the inn, she spots the ghost ship docked in the Sea of Swords close to Leilon. It must be the ship that the pirate skeletons have arrived on the Sword Coast by. It might be on the ship, where the captain of the crew is waiting, and perhaps that is the answer as to why the pirates have attacked.
However, pirates are still attacking the town, and perhaps it would be best to deal with them first.

Laszlo takes off after the exuberant warrior while waving for the others to follow. Stepping out into the chaos of the town he spins looking for immediate threats or any townspeople in dire need.
Laszlo notices a young girl hiding behind some crates on the opposite side of the street. She is hiding, fearing being caught by one of the skeleton pirates.

Ahorangi pauses on seeing the ghost ship. You can almost see the cogs ticking over in her mind. Could it be?....
She is about to race towards it before she halts mid-step. Her memory may not be the best, but she was wise enough to know it would be a suicide mission to attack that ship alone. She turns to find her new-found companions. Would they help?...
"We've got to get to that ship! It's the best way to save Leilon! We will help who we can on the way."
Should Laszlo point out the young girl, Ahorangi hangs back a little and lets the others take the lead. She may be a teddy bear on the inside but try explaining that to a frightened little girl.
"Hold one moment," Laszlo says as he dashes over to the crates. If I can see her that easily so will the marauders."Hey kid, yea you! You're too exposed out here and where we're going won't be any safer. Take this key," he pleads handing over the key to his room. "Go across the street to that inn, up the stairs, third room on the left then lock the door. There's a dagger under the pillow. Do not open the door for anyone until the morning, got it?"
"Yeah thi thi this guy its ssssssss safer to be out heeeeeeeeeere with you, bu bu bu but the little girl sssssssss safer alone insidddddddddde." The scratching continues.
The little girl hesitates but then comes out from her hiding spot. She cautiously approaches Laszlo, not sure whether she can trust him. However, she does take the key from his hand. She then looks up and down the street and runs for it when she feels it is safe. She makes it to the inn and quickly slips in through the entrance.

Gubo, having been silently following the rest of the group, leaves a lingering look on the girl as she runs towards the inn. He sighs, then runs towards the ship in the distance. "Ahorangi's right. But we should try and help as much as we can on our way there."
He scans his surroundings, looking for the closest opportunity to help.

"Agreed," says Laszlo. He pushes out thoughts of concern for the young girl and tries to focus on the task at hand. Ahorangi seems like she has the most clue as to what's going on in all of this chaos so he will follow her lead. Titus' general mental state is troubling but that's a concern that's quickly falling down the list of priority problems.
Passing the rapier back and forth between both hands to hide a small nervous tremor he takes off again in the direction his allies are headed.
