Tochi listens to both responses and nods towards Roland.
"Yes, that is the difference here, isn't it - The existence of a third party that will happily undertake the sentencing of The Black Spider. I do not much care for Glory, but I do agree that justice is best served when it is enacted by those who are empowered to do so. So, I guess that settles it? We leave our locust alive so far, and then our good friend Sildar shall make sure to deliver him to Neverwinter. I assume we go back to the cave now?"
OOC: What time is it now? Somehow I had an impression it's late evening.
"You mean, in the morning? Or now now?" clarified Finna, not sure yet if the party was truly so untiring, that they could return on the road the same day they came in the town. Happens, of course, but better to ask. "What are we up against? Did you get everything needed to finish the clean up or do we need to prepare something else?"
(OOC: Whenever we do leave, Thulgrim just needs to purchase a few more days' rations. He also requests that he ride in the wagon, as he isn't fond of the idea of riding a horse, and can't afford one anyway)

"I agree, some rest would be a rather good idea. Though, once we recuperate, I would advise we no longer delay and return to the cave". Says Tochi and looks around, wanting to find a place to stay the night.
Thulgrim says: At least one o' us should stay 'ere and watch that one 'til Sildar returns. I'll be 'appy to take a spell, s'long as 'is 'ands are tied and 'is tongue is gagged.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
It sounds like we've wrapped up here, but if there's anything else you'd like to do before spending the night at the inn, feel free to rewind a bit in your post and I'll resolve it in my next one.
Nezznar nods to Finna gratefully as she heals his wounds. His eyes are alight with a wry grin throughout it all. As the others leave to prepare their rooms at the Stonehill Inn, Thulgrim keeps a watch over the dark elf for a few moments longer until Sildar returns. "Don't worry, I'll be keeping a very close eye on him. Take caution in that mine, good dwarf. It may seem like the threat is gone without the drow, but if half of what he says is true, there is still a foul presence afoot in there," he bids Thulgrim.
Barthen's Provisions is open at all hours, and the young associate working there this night packs three days of rations for Thulgrim.
The next morning, Gundren is eating in the common room, sketching something in a notebook. "Ah! Are ye off, then? I feel better knowin' one o' me own clan is with ye now. Thulgrim, ye're to be part o' the reclaimin' our new home, and ain't none to forget that. Ye best be livin' to see the statue that gets built, ye hear?" he says.
OOC: Each character has received the benefits of a long rest. Added 3 days of rations and removed 1 gp and 5 sp from Thulgrim's inventory. Removed 1 gp from each character's inventory for the night and meals at the Stonehill Inn.
Nemean nods solemnly, at peace with the decision they have collectively made to leave the Black Spider in Sildars care.
“Finna”, he says “The Black Spider was not very specific but we believe there are undead still infesting the cave. Also, I want you to have this, it will be more valuable in the hands of a skilled magic user such as yourself” He hands her the Black Spiders staff.
Before retiring he offers to help purchase supplies for Finna and Thulgrim. “I have some extra coin that I would be happy to use to help outfit you for our journey if you need anything.”
He then heads to the inn for the evening and prepares to awake at first light so they can ride once more for Wave Echo Cave.
"Thank you, what I need I have, though I do not own a horse, so, hope there is some space on that wagon of yours." Finna though for a moment, "I did not like the look in that drow's eyes... You talked about undead there. If you have some extra coins you might want to buy some Holy water or something. Just in case that mocking look meant we are about to meet a necromancer and his army in there."
"That sounds like a very prudent measure. I think I have enough to spring for a flask. I'll visit the store in town and see if they have some before we set out in the morning."

Roland Drask:Human Rogue - Lost Mine of Phandelver
OOC: Moved the spider staff from Nemean's inventory to Finna's.
There is a wondrous quality to the staff, the top of which is shaped like a spider. The staff's full properties are not yet known, but Nemean can relay that it has some sort of spellcasting capability, and secretes a poison on contact.
To identify an item, you can either use the identify spell, or spend a short rest focusing only on that item. Then, if it requires attunement, an additional short rest must be spent focusing on the item to attune to it.
Presented with the obviously magical item was out of words for a whole minute. "Are you sure about it?" finally managed she some kind of answer. "I... Thank you. I'll see what I can get out of it."
And that was what she was doing for the rest of the evening - studying the stuff in her room and if her modest Arcana knowledge told her to bond with the wondrous weapon for the better understanding, then attunement it is! Finna was always very thorough.
OOC: Strange...I added the gauntlets as a custom item here, I don't know why they're not there now. I've re-added them. There would be enough time to identify them (and possibly attune to them, if necessary) if Roland wants to before the group leaves for the mine.
The boots are still buried with Nimble.
While studying the weapon, Finna discovers much of what Nemean was able to - when wielded as a quarterstaff, it would secrete a poison (dealing an extra 1d6 poison damage on a hit), and had a number of charges that could be spent toward spellcasting. However, whatever spells the staff was capable of casting, Finna was unable to access it with her druidic abilities.
Meditation was useless, Finna sighed and returned to Nemean & Co with the news: "Nothing, sorry. Your Black Spider made the staff for him - sorcerer's thing. Still a good weapon, though, and that poison effect might get handy."
"Tochi?" She was still getting used to names, "Your staff is good, but that one is a touch better. Pretty sure you can safely use it".
"It is not something I would generally use, but we are clearly fighting against evildoers here... So, if none of you want it, I will take the staff and try to turn it into a weapon of righteousness" Tochi says, without much enthusiasm.
