Oskar shows up late per usual. He looks around the inn and sees the table with a few adventurers at it. He sits down at the spot with the marbled bread and pours a goblet of wine before nodding to the others.
(Prim wants to research spells as soon as she's able, even from her hospital bed if possible. Hopefully she has lots of time to study before the next call for volunteers. All of these depend on how much time she has to study but she wants to learn at least one spell per number (1, 2, etc)
1. Fireball or Lightning bolt (whichever is available). Should be fairly common and she's decided that incinerating her foes before her party takes damage may be more effective than her healing.
2. Scorching Ray or Acid arrow. IIRC Vlar knew Scorching Ray and she'd have asked him to please help her learn it, if she regained consiousness before he left. Again, the best defense...
3. She'd gotten permission for "Prim's Necromantic revivify". Has she officially learned it by now?
She also wants "Blade Ward" (I forgot to give her her full allotment of cantrips) and "Shield", which may be relatively common to learn.
4. Reverse engineering. If there's time she wants to reverse-engineer "Wither and Bloom" and "Life Transference" to create "Vampiric Touch". Since "Life Transference" could literally kill her, she needs a way to restore or buff before or after casting.
5. Reverse engineering. If there's time she wants to reverse-engineer "Wither and Bloom" and "False Life" to create "False Healing Word", that gives range to "False Life". The spell is up for review.
She wants to get silk outfits in Camoflauge before they leave, including hat and a sheathe for her umbrella. I found out the cloth armor gave her disadvantage on dex related rolls, so she's returned it to the FDF, where she's also asked for help learning the above spells and following the lead to the Swan Inn )
A blond woman enters the Swan Inn. She's wearing a pink silk outfit, including a pink umbrella and hat, which she hangs on the hat or coat rack nearest the table. She looks tired and wearily says (in the nearest equivalent to an upper class British accent):
"Hello, greetings (tired smile, and wave). I'm Primrose Perianth, of the New Burgundy Perianths, necromancer specializing in healing and veteran survivor of two missions against the Goblins. Two good men were captured and one killed on our last mission, so don't underestimate our foes. You have the floor and our attention Mister Smith".
"Nice to see you again, Miss Perianth," Joe says to Prim. "And welcome to you all," he turns to the rest of you. "Here is our current situation: The Goblinoid Army is in disarray, thanks to Miss Perianth and her companions. Most of them have retreated to the mountains between Frelia and the Dark Realm. They still have in their possession three of the seven Goblin Orbs about which we know. Two of the orbs have been destroyed, one by Miss Perianth herself. The other was discovered and destroyed in the southern continent of Salzaria, a long way from here. This means the goblinoids may show up anywhere in Niersala. It is uncertain where the other two orbs are, but we assume the Dark Lord Gregory Darek has them. Also, it is rumored that Maglubiyet has a Master Goblin Orb which can transport his minions across dimensions.
"Furthermore, two of Miss Perianth's companions have been captured by what is left of the Goblinoid Army. Your mission will be to rescue these brave souls and retrieve or destroy as many of the the Goblin Orbs as possible.
Vrothen rolls in late and embarrassed ‘‘Sorry I’m late. Vrothen Bhenkum here to slaughter some goblins at your order’’ Vrothen is a very tall dragonborn male.
"The bread is in case you are hungry," Joe replies to Oskar with a smile.
"Miss Perianth's captured companions are the dwarf barbarian Bolin Brickbreaker and the elf ranger Deragor," he says to Orion. "She can tell you more about them, I suppose, if she is willing." Joe looks to Prim with a raised eyebrow and questioning look.
Taxidea takes a bite of bread and drums his fingers on the table. He mutters, mostly to himself, "damn Goblinoids think they can just do whatever they want eh? Gonna have to teach em' I guess..."

Prim gets a plate with bread & a glass of wine before explaining.
"We had a plan to take the orbs by stealth, but were discovered. We thought we could achieve mission objectives but Bolin and Deragor bravely refused my orders to drop the orbs and run when capture was imminent. I was knocked unconscious before I saw their fate, and saved by Vlar, a bugbear ally."
She sips her wine & continues.
"Don't underestimate our foes. And prepare well before we leave. I fault myself for not seeking high firepower spells before the mission, so I urge that we share spells like Fireball, Shield or Scorching Ray. I'll share mine with any casters who can learn them. "Wither and Bloom" has been useful."
She takes another sip and pauses for questions before buttering her bread and nibbling.
"Our scouts tell us the centurion who took them was headed north by northeast into the mountains between here and the Dark Realm with what was left of his troops," Joe answers Alora.
"Oh I like you," he says, "you just said some of my favorite words. Lighting things on fire is kind of my specialty - especially big, ugly things that think they can push people around. Ever heard of Aganazzar’s Scorcher?" He chuckles. "That Aganazzar...I'm a big fan of his work. I've also got some other tricks up my sleeve that I'm more than happy to share. Name's Taxidea, by the way, but you can call me Badger."

Well, if you cast it with the same amount of magic as a Fireball, Aganazzar's does about 2/3 of the damage. But, you can cast it with a bit less magic, do about 1/2 the damage of a fireball...and then still have the energy to use a fireball later to send your enemies to hell if they haven't gotten smart and fled. The other advantage is that Aganazzar's goes in a straight line - useful for when you have your enemies in tighter spaces like hallways or narrow passages.

"You make an excellent point - Orion, right? - and also, my legs are much shorter than the rest of yours...especially his", Taxidea replies gesturing to Vrothen.

"Well," Joe replies, "Once you are ready, I suggest you leave as soon as possible by way of the East Gate. Follow the road to Daruinjak to pick up any last minute supplies and get news from the locals. They might be able to tell you where the enemy is."
