Mills Gorecreek - human v (skilled) - ranger - folk hero
Mills was a simple mountain man at one point. Then the nine year war happened. He eluded its carnage at first, but as the clans continued to push him further and further from the lands he once called home, he began to aid Republic units simply to fight back. Eventually his skills were recognized by the Order of the Wild and he was brought in to train. By the time he graduated, the war was nearly over, and he was no longer needed in battle. He took to the wider world that had presented itself like a starving man to a feast. He made few friends, but his thirst for knowledge endeared him with a scholar at the Arcane Order. Their discussion of scholarship has built a true friendship, but Mills now feels a wanderlust beginning to itch at his bones again.
He's a brainy ranger that walks and talks like a cowboy hillbilly.
I understand if I'm too late, it's just taking a bit to read it all.
Are nations that don't specify a race made up of strictly humans?
No! Even the nations that do specify a race aren't entirely populated by just that race. It's just the predominate race. All of the PHB races, except Dragonborn (more on that will follow once we start getting into the story), Drow, and Tiefling exist everywhere all across the world.
In order to help me make my decision, I would like everyone that is still interested to please complete the following survey: https://forms.gle/FwPLeBRxU7kouVHe9
Those survey answers will give me a concise organized view of submissions that I will be able to sort easily in order to help my thought process.
Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have them, I'm more than happy to discuss.
Once again a big thank you to all who submitted, I'm looking forward to getting this game started!
Good question. Not to be too harsh here, but "we" is a collective term for people who will be selected to play, and as of right now I have not even come close to making those decisions yet. When I do finally make those selections, I'll be sending a private message to all those chosen, and then I'll most likely start up a new thread(s) dedicated just to the game. I've got a busy week this week, so I don't think the game will actually get going until next week. I'll have to see how much free time I end up having. If I can cobble together a few hours here and there this week, I might be able to get the game off the ground by Thursday afternoon. If not, I wouldn't expect to actually get going until the early part of next week.

Yeah. That one was a bit too chaotic for me if I recall correctly. Good concept though.
