Above the dark Fey Forests by the Misty Lake where beasts and fey alike prowl between the trees in search of easy prey, stands a scarlet- colored clock-tower, watching over the land.
The Scarlet Devil Mansion, as its called in both respect and fear for its owner, towers above most of the immediate region, being only surpassed by the Mountain of Gods nearby. No one knows exactly when the Mansion was built or when it first appeared on the shores of the Lake, but those who lay their eyes on it for the first time tend to remember it for the rest of their lives, as short as that might be.
The Mansion is known for its simultaneously grotesque and refined appearance. Scarlet-colored exterior windows and walls surround a large complex building housing many different rooms, some of which with no windows. Due to the nature of the dezinems of this household and their consequent sleeping schedules, the bells in the clock- tower can only be heard echoing through the valley in the dead of night. A large and well-maintained garden can be seen by those who manage to cross the front gates of the Mansion. Inside, a large hall allows visitors to travel in several different directions to the many corners of the household, one of the most interesting being the Mansion's library. Housing an unknown number of books from different origins, it is said to possibly be the greatest collection of magic books in existence.
The mistress, Remilia Scarlet, awaits.

This sounds incredible, and I’d love to see what a higher level genie character could do. Items wise what would you like us to do?
Name - The Hateful Child
Race - Elandrin
Class - Marid Genie Warlock - Tome
Ability Scores - Ability scores: 11151591417
Why are you at the mansion/Background/Backstory together:
The Hateful Child is invited nowhere, welcome nowhere, within the realms of the Fey. A child not of air and shadow but seasons, his name is lost and so he is treated as if he were an evil of the under-Fey. The hateful child is scorned by those who should be his kith and kin, his life is tough, and his travels are wide and beyond the plane of his origin. Hardship has been his inheritance. Suffering has been his teacher, and, despite the beauty and grace of Fey eyes, he turns them no where except to see the ugliness in this plane and creatures of the Fey.
Still, he is not beyond redemption, for far kinder has he found the realms of the elements, and in quieter moments he is not so calloused and jaded as he appears. If he were, he’d have never received the ring of the genie he now wears, and he’d never be so close to his wish: the wish to scour for the Mansion of its treasures, to deprive the Fey of their great trove of magical knowledge, and use it to prevent the circumstances of his birth from ever coming to pass again; to prevent a harmless child from ever becoming hateful again.

edit: Character sheet background is Haunted One, like quite a few others. Maybe the mansion is drawing that sort of person here?
Specifically, the Hateful Child’s invitation may have been sent after the mansion and Remila became aware of the Tome of Ancient Secrets that the warlock had been granted by the Genie. It grows pages as he grows stronger with forgotten arcanum, and it deserves a library that can appreciate its value…
