Zane - "hang on, we'll get you out of there" strength check-21 (needed -DC12) to lift wagon off of commoner
Zane drops his shield, plants his feet, and grabs the corner of the wagon. as he starts lifting the wagon off of the commoner, and safely lowers the wagon making sure his fingers are not squished in the process. Draco drags him out of dangers way. and says "are you alone or are there others down here as well? we were sent to come and find you"
commoner- "yes , my friends were all taking by cloaked men into the next room, they called me damaged goods and spared my life." crying and hugging Draco as hard as he could. "I've had no food or water in days, I'm so weak" commoner digs through his pouch and hands Draco a potion-of-healing " i dont have much but please take this and the one in my waggon for a token of my appreciation"
Zane lowers the wagon to the ground with a sigh, then takes a deep breath as he rolls his shoulders and stretches his arms. Listening intently as the commoner speaks, he quietly fishes his waterkskin from his pack and offers the man a drink.
Alistair offers food from his rations to the commoner while asking:
"Don't want to tear up your wounds, but could you tell us more about these cloaked men and the abduction of your fellows? Any small information you remember can be vital to rescue the others and punish the perpetrators."

the commoner groans as he reaches for the waterskin bag and rations. he takes a drink, acouple mouth fulls of rations and begins to talk. "no no its ok, they had long black cloaks with big hoods to cover there appearance." starts to cover his face and cry "when they picked up my friends they started chanting "praise moloch". I don't get it, we were on our way to midheaven to sell herbs. what would they want simple merchants for?"
Alistair can you make an intelligence (arcana) check please.
"Hmmm..." Zane frowns, not liking the sound of this at all. He scratches his head and ponders for a moment, then decides to ready his longbow and nock an arrow, keeping an eye on the door.
as you hear "praise moloch" you remeber his name being spoken while you were in a taveren sipping on ale but couldnt piece togeather what they said. you have a long conversation but gane no valueable information.
when the commener decribed the perpitrators everyone started to look at desmond as he too was sporting a dark cloak with a hood. at first tense, then quickly deemed him a non threat.
Desmond does a good search of the room, he finds that the ceiling seems to be about 30 ft above there heads and the heavy door is locked.
Zane like a hawk, keeping an eye on the door while Desmond is searching the room.
OOC: Unsure how you handle tool kit proficiencies, Desmond is proficient in Thieves Tools so if I wanted to roll for picking the lock what would you have me roll?
Desmond will stand up and move to be against the wall next to the door so as not to be in the doorway. His hand on the door handle, he will look back at the group waiting for their go ahead to open it.
