Can I go again or do I need to wait for the folks who haven’t had a turn yet or for you to post again? I would like to hide and look through the eyes of owl. I am fairly new to this and this is quite different than playing live. Looks like "no" according to Gameplay Rules, but thought I would ask.
It is really interesting, so far, the pace and cadence. I do think it will make for some interesting roleplaying choices, as we have more time to consider what we might do instead of having to act in the moment. But for something like this, where action is moving quickly, I can see how it might get convoluted.
Yeah I was thinking how the pacing feels a lot slower but it will probably progress at a comparable rate to a regular campaign since it's going continuously as opposed to just for a few hours a week. On the same note, waiting for everyone to post would take (hopefully) no more than a day, as opposed to the long gaps between sessions.
We are beginning our first combat. This part is new to me so be patient as we work through this system. In initiative, every player may take their turn in any order in which they post. You will get one turn until the initiative starts over. This will be indicated by me taking my turn last.
We are using theater of the mind so distances and groupings will be loosely decided with no real map. If you are attacking a creature, just give some description of which target you would like to hit. Include both the "to hit" and the "damage" roll by using the combat dice roller. If you are using a spell with a save DC, please indicate what the DC is.
If you have any questions about your turn/action, post them here so I can answer before you take your turn.

Unless I state that we are in initiative, you can keep taking actions in the future.

I had the same thought. The pacing is slower but we are "playing" every day so...

Question about combat for Iefyr. So if his attack hits, he can then spend a bardic inspo to use a flourish, which would then add a bonus effect (moving the opponent, doing aoe damage, or boosting his ac) and deal extra damage. How should I go about this as far as posts? Would it be ok to edit my post once I see whether or not it hits, narrating the effects and rolling extra damage? Should I include the bonus effect and damage I intend to do with a "if it hits" disclaimer on the original post? Or should I treat it like a reaction, making a separate post for the flourish before something else happens that would contradict it?

I was glad to see my dice roll did not change when I edited my post when I was trying to get action tags right. Not a big fan of editing posts, but I cannot stand my typos :)

I think the rules said, just take turns, but only take one turn until DM posts again. He wrote clarification a few posts up.
From what I can tell we just get to post once before the end of the round. Our order isn't really tracked.
Cozubia: Silver Dragonborn Paladin, Level 3
I think we might have killed a couple already :)
I know, ouch! I blame the virtual dice roller.
