Recruiting 4 players to wander a world of adventure. Casual posting 3-4 times week. Role play focus. Combat will be theater of the mind.
If interested, role stats and take them in order. Roll again if you don’t get at least two 15s. Take in order then craft your character. Starting level 1
Provide rough details and backstory. The adventure will start in a tavern in a cross roads town. Why are you there?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Name; Aequor Audax
Race; Triton
Class; Bard
Subclass; College of Valor
Background; Courtier
Backstory; Aequor hails from an underwater kingdom. He was a renowned bard who served on the lord's court. He left the kingdom in search of adventure and to spread the lord's word of the great kingdom. Aequir, needing some recreation, he goes to a tavern at the crossroads. Perhaps he will find his greatest adventure?
I’m Chad Gloomblast. I hail from a rich wizarding family as you should know. The famous Gloomblasts. I am setting out on an adventure to prove myself. Dad says I need to get a job. Things are harder than I thought they would be. I need a drink.....
sylorj had been traveling for some time, after fighitning many wars, she was tired and need a place to catch her breath. She had come across a tavern in a cross roads town, she only planned to stay for a little before moving on to continue the never ending fight against evil.
Is this homebrew or a module? Any restrictions on races or multiclassing? Rolling HP/gold or taking the fixed amount? And is progression XP or Milestone?
Lastly are stats roll six 4d6 dropping lowest? Seeing several rolls with 19-20 which aren't possible if that's the case.
Sounds like a bit of fun, if you'll allow me to join.

Name: Lucian Evensong Race: Half-Elf Class: Warlock (Archfey Pact) Ability Scores: STR 14 DEX 14 CON 16 INT 12 WIS 10 CHA 18 Background: Noble Backstory: Lucian came from a noble birth, and has had a fairly laid back lifestyle. He did as others of his family have done, sworn fealty to the fey that their ancestors are linked to for generations. He is currently on a mission for his patron, though he is not telling anyone what that is. Build: More of a utility and Charismatic man who prefers to use words to resolve matters than fights, though it doesn't stop him from using Eldritch Blast on someone who deserves it.
Story: Pit traveled world as a deck hand. He was looking for treasure that will make his marriage with Antonella possible (her dad told him he is to poor). One day when Pit was sitting at crow's nest he got struck by the thunder. He survived but something changed inside him. Unfortunately his crew decided that cat struck by the thunder is a bad luck for the ship. Now he travels alone looking for treasures and discovering his new powers.
Why Pit is in the tavern? For Pit there is no "why" when he hears words like "Tavern", "Rum"...and "Gumbo"
Some answers to questions and clarifications on how to do your stats: - Homebrew. I have some rough Ideas of a story but the characters will drive a lot of these world development. It'll be iterative. (think "yes, and...") - No restrictions on race as long as you can make a character in D&D Beyond - You'll be able to Multiclass if you want but everyone will start at level 1 so it's by definition impossible to start that way - Can start with standard equipment. If you want to change that up based on character background or preference run it by me real quick in a private message. - Roll your stats with the 4d6 drop the lowest (rerolling 1s is up to you) - If you want to give your character a specific weakness you can reduce any roll but not raise a roll. - My goal on this method is get some interesting characters that aren't built on the point buy/standard array gaming mechanic. I'm not saying you have to play a rogue with 3 dextarity but if you get a 3 in dextarity you should pick a class and race that will compliment that. - I'll pick the players and characters based on their adherence to these starting coditions
Here's an example of what I would do:
Ability scores: 101313141111
Race: Hill Dwarf (updated ability scores with race selection) 12 16 19 14 17 13 Class: Ranger Background: Folk Hero Name: Umdahr Frostbeard Background: something something adventuring for glory blah blah dead wife blah blah home town burned to the ground somthing or other. Why in the tavern: Passing through on the way to a major city. Stopped here a couple weeks ago after a strange dream told him to.

Ok I just finished making Mathus. He is a sheep header who brought his father's flock back into town. After a difficult lambing he goes to the local tavern hoping to drown himself in ale as je dreams of leaving this backwater town and go exploring.
Race: Human Variant (updated ability scores with race selection) 7 16 18 13 18 12
Feat: Alert
Class: Monk
Background: Urchin
Name: Fitz
Background: Fitz grew up in the streets, he doesn't remember anything before that. He's sure he had a last name, but damned if he knows it. As a small kid, he learned quickly that he was never going to our muscle anyone. Be quick. Stay alert. Turn their weakness to your advantage. Food is important.
Around 12 or so he was found by a group of monks after getting thoroughly trounced by a few older boys who stole his stuff. They took him in and he spent his life learning their ways. They taught him how to fight in unexpected ways, to deceive, to observe and be patient. Almost as important to him, they taught him how to cook and brew, and he became obsessed with both.
He reached the point in his training where now he must learn of things beyond the walls of the monastery. They sent him into the world, though he is always welcome to return
Why in the tavern: This is where his feet took him. A crossroads seems an excellent place to start. Fate shall choose his path.
