"I do not know what has happened. Only that I can no longer contact her. As for the reward, I have 3 letters that you can turn in for some potent favors, a few magical items, and a bag of gems. Of course only on completion of the quest." Says Madryck Roslof
Eudith raises her palm in a 'no, thank you' to Absinthe's offer of tobacco, and addresses Madryck. "I can't speak for the others at the table, but it sounds like a worthy enough cause. But can you tell us a little more about what we might be dealing with, with this 'Witchlight Carnival' and beyond?"
Val hops off the bench to her feet, changing her height very little in the process. "Hello, Mister Roslof. My name is Val. What I think my friend," indicating Hisashi, "was trying to ask is what sort of fey is this...Zybilna, you said? There are many types of feys, from fairies and satyrs to goblins and hags. You said that Zybilna is an archfey, but what type of fey? And howdidyou contact Zybilna inthepast, and whathaveyoutried sincelosingcontact?" Val rushes through the last sentence in her eagerness to sit back down, and it comes out in a jumble. She sits back down and sits perfectly still.
"Zybilna was once a human archmage who then created Prismeer in the Fey Wild and ascended into an Archfey. The carnival is a place of entertainment and is run by 2 shader-kai elves. Mr. Witch and Mr. light. I believe they procured it from the previous owner which was an Eladrin. I have not been to the carnival in many years, but its a place of joy with many rides and delectable food. Somewhere in the carnival is the hidden entrance to Prismeer. The Fey WIld are inhabited by many creatures. Like this Harengon sitting here. It is quite vibrant that is hard to describe. You will know it yourself if your successful. Zybilna is a fairy godmother to mortals. She created the carnival as a means by which mortals could enter her realm and beseech her aid." says Madryck Roslof with a touch of nostalgia.
Eudith thinks better than to ask if Mister Roslof's connection to this Archfey ever went beyond proper patronage, though the possibility does cross her mind. Instead, she sticks to questioning about the mission at hand. "What can you tell us of these elves, Misters Witch and Light. Are they likely to help us find the way in to Prismeer, or hinder us?"
Hisashi takes a back seat in the conversation, absorbing as much of the information as possible. “Ok… not much but enough maybe? We go to da carnival place den find our way to our next step no?” She starts scratching her head before stretching out. “So you all interested? I guess dat would make us a team, it would.” She crosses her arms nodding.
Absinthe puffs her pipe, a sweet smell rising with the smoke. She smiles. “I love carnivals so I’m willing to do whatever we need if it means I get to go to one! Aaaand, I get to spend more time with Pommy and all of you!”
Val seems to have used up her courage for speaking in front of all of the big people. She leans over toward Eudith and says in a loud whisper, "We should ask him about what dangers we are likely to face. If something captured or harmed an archmage, it must be very powerful. Who are Zybilna's enemies?"
Eudith smiles at Val's question, and repeats it for her. "I think we're all in, but we should know what we are up against. Did Zybilna have any known enemies?"
"Well the Witchlight Carnival will be in a the Misty Forest 3 days travel from here. It is to the East. Zybilna is a statuesque women with long white hair and a tattoo of a chicken foot that is similar to mine but its below her right eye instead of above."says Madryck
Upon hearing Zybilna's description everyone recalls a memory of a women matching her description helping each of you at one point in your life.
"Zybilna passion was helping others. I do not know of anyone who would bring harm to her"says Madryck with worry evident on his face. "I hope you can find her soon"
Eudith has a sudden memory of the woman Madryck describes, something that she shouldn't be able to remember at all as she was so young at the time. When her parents abandoned her on the street, barely able to walk, a tall woman with long white hair found her and took her to the House of the Moon, making sure she was taken in. The knight is speechless: is this memory even real, was it really the same woman, was this all part of some strange cosmic plan? She looks around at the others, trying to sense if she was the only one struck by a sudden remembrance.
"Oh, how strange!" Val looks at Abby wonderingly. "A woman who looked just like that found me once when I was a little kid and had gotten lost in a city. She helped reunite me with my parents. I was so relieved! But it's so strange. I haven't thought of that story in...years?" Val looks a little confused.
“How strange!” More smoke leaves her lips. “Hmm…” She puffs more before frowning as no more smoke leaves her lips. “Out already..?” She asks herself as she reaches into her bag and rummages through POUNDS of tobacco. “Which one would be perfect for meaningful contemplation..?”

(Oops! Simultaneous posts. It probably makes more narrative sense to think of the order as Abby, Madryck, Val, and then Eudith.)

"I have not seen them in 64 years. I hope they are receptive to helping you, but I am not sure" says Madryck

Abby’s tail swishes wildly. “She took me in when I was a little girl!”
Eudith has a sudden memory of the woman Madryck describes, something that she shouldn't be able to remember at all as she was so young at the time. She looks around at the others, trying to sense if she was the only one struck by a sudden remembrance.
"Were we all helped at some point by this woman?", Eudith asks the table, incredulous as Absinthe professes to have been helped by her as well.
“Well I don’t know about the others, Eudie, but she helped me and you!”
"Oh, how strange!" Val looks at Abby wonderingly. "A woman who looked just like that found me once when I was a little kid and had gotten lost in a city. She helped reunite me with my parents.
