This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the plaster hardens around him, Branmar curses and calls out while attempting to free himself, "Ah shi.. Little help miss?" He extends a hand to Dhara for help, blushing slightly with embarrassment.
Athletics: 7 (wow, with advantage. lmao)
Struggling as hard as he can against the plaster, even with assistance, doesn't seem to make any progress on freeing Branmar. "Well isn't this nice, my armor seems to be locked in pretty well. Will be fun picking this crap out of my joints." He knocks a gauntleted fist against the plaster. "Hmm.. Want to give that drill a try, Thondor? Or should I start punching my way out?"
With a mighty bellow and a flex of his muscles, Thondor pulverizes the hardened paste that was holding him, sending powder flying in all directions. He then climbs out of the dwarf sized hole, grumbling and cursing in Undercommon the whole time. Hearing Branmar struggling he simply gives him a silent nod.
”This be the test,” he states bluntly. Turning to Raven he asks, “Would ye power up this here contraption wit yer magics?” gesturing to the drill on his shoulders, “and I be freeing the others.”
Eb's efforts start to blast away chunks of rock, but the process is slow, and you realize after a bit that you will need to start blasting areas that are dangerously close to your person, possibly wounding you. Do you continue?
Austrig's efforts are less than effective, freeing an arm but not yet freeing his torso from the hardened muck!
Raven nods to Dhara, then cheerfully turns back to Thondor. "Sure!" She leans forward placing a finger on the drill. "Here it goes!" She let's her magical energy flow into the devise, then takes her finger away and puts her hands behind her back. "Okie dokie, it should be all powered up and ready to go!"
I guess Dhara will follow Thondor around with her scanner to help him avoid inadvertently stabbing our companions with his drill while trying to get them free.
With Dharas aid and the judicious application of the powered drill, the party is freed in short order! The large blades of the drill sink deeply and quickly into the hardened minerals, crushing it and evacuating the remains efficiently and comfortably. Indeed, once powered the drill even feels a lot lighter - some internal mechanism bearing the brunt of the weight, allowing Thondor to wield it with pinpoint accuracy.
The party is free! The door forward remains blocked, but not for long as the Drill still reads full power after a few minutes of light expenditure.
The Door is sealed with more of the plaster-material, leaving little if anything to analyze. You quickly recognize the familiar construction of industry-standard mining facilities. A comforting thought, given recent events!
Freed, Eb looks to Thondor and says, "Thanks for the help." He crawls up out of his hole, brushes himself off and helps looks around the rest of the chamber looking for anything else that might have changed within.
Even a brief look around the room reveals a few obvious things.
- With the hardening plaster filling the bottom 3-4 feet of the chamber, the exit door is mostly clogged and will require significant force to clear. Given the drill's performance so far, it seems safe to bet that it will do the trick.
- The vents in the ceiling are now fully visible, and it's clear that these are intentionally placed as a part of a simulation for a mining accident. Not much else has changed beyond that - indeed, with that excellent roll the central pillar that appeared to be load bearing before is now pretty apparently a fake prop, destructible for effect as a part of the simulation.
Looking around, seeing that the group doesn't seem to be injured and that the way out seems to be blocked Eb say, "Good job at staying safe everyone and then looking out for those around you. Love seeing good team work! Thondor, think you could unblock the exit please?"
“Hmmph,” Thondor grunts as he makes his way to the door and begins working to clear it with the drill. As he works he curses almost constantly in a mixture of several languages that he knows.
Branmar, happy to be free, nods to Thondor, "Thank you, I'd of been stuck there until the clean up crew came in. Great work with that drill!" He studies the drill intently as Thondor continues using it. "Excellent piece of equipment, would love to take it apart sometime."
Pulling a small tool out of the bag at his side, Branmar starts picking at bits of the plaster that remain in the joints and seams of his armor while waiting for the door to be cleared.

Austrig will attempt to free himself using fire bolt, then proceed to the crack and cast mending.

He attempts to thin out the stone without hurting himself. ((Trying to make the dc lower if possible))
Branmar struggles against the hardened plaster while reaching towards Thondor with a free hand, "I can power it up if you bring it over here."
(Branmar expends a spell slot to power the drill)
Raven nods to Dhara, then cheerfully turns back to Thondor. "Sure!" She leans forward placing a finger on the drill. "Here it goes!" She let's her magical energy flow into the devise, then takes her finger away and puts her hands behind her back. "Okie dokie, it should be all powered up and ready to go!"
(Expending one spell slot)
(Thondor attempts to free the others using the drill. I’m not sure if any rolls are required.)
The drill powers on at Branmar's arcane touch! (Raven, no need for your spell slot at this time!)
(Woops. I musta posted at the same time as Branmar)

Austrig looks at the others
"Kinda hoping that was planned. Else this place is as stable as a two legged stool."
With that, he goes to look at the door, tapping his staff ahead, but being careful not to touch the door.
