BroadHaven is a new role play D&D 5e server where the town folk enjoy an evening of entertainment at the tavern, go fishing, hunting, mining or set off on a campaign. There are daily activities which provide various rewards, be that guild currency, coin or xp. We have regular one-shots, mini adventures and longer campaigns. We encourage all time zones and ages (we do have a few minors so posts will have to be age appropriate) .
We are currently looking for new settlors to join this new, small but active server.
BroadHaven can offer you unique maps and Avrae alias' written specifically for BroadHaven.
New Settlors should be prepared to find themselves a place within the community be that as a shop keeper, resident, adventurer, farmer, beggar or create something new...
If you are interested, please post below mentioning - 1 what your character could add to Haven 2 how experienced you are at DnD (beginners and experienced welcome)
We use Discord, Roll20, Owl Rodeo. We also use DndBeyond and Avrae for dice rolls.
BroadHaven is mainly play by post. As we already have varied time zone settlers we have found play by post to be the most successful. However, if there are enough people in the same time zone we are open to voice channel sessions.
We are looking to add a campaign later this month - possibly based around Lost Mine of Phandelver or Strixhaven.
I'm looking to play Tonel. He could act as a town drunkard, but he wouldn't be a mean drunk. He could add whimsy and an old prospective to the whole thing.
I have a character in mind. Her name is Cassandra Radcliffe, and as for her role in the community, I think it would suit her and be interesting if she was the towns librarian, if there isn't one already. If need be, she could start the construction of a library for the town to accomplish this, and it could be useful as a place to gather information for adventures and other things.
I am pretty new to D&D, and have only played a handful of sessions so far, but I have a little more experience with role playing in general and I've learned the basics quickly.
This sounds very interesting and Id love to join if possible!
I'm pretty flexible with character ideas and have a few in mind but the current one standing out is a Changeling named Pierce that can be either the captain of the guards/a guard member or leader of a thieves guild in the town/member of said guild depending on what's good and fits the most in the setting and provide interesting dialogue to others and fun interactions.
I've been playing D&D for a year now and am very well versed in roleplaying and the game in general.
I am interested in joining if there is still room.
The character I had in mind is Thadoc Greenwind. He is more comfortable as a hunter living just outside of town or on the outskirts of a forest, making his living by hunting and doing odd jobs. I have a character sheet that I created on here if you are interested.
I have never played D&D before, but I have always been interested and I catch on fast.
Could you give us more information about the settlement, I assume its named BroadHaven, and its setting. I believe I understand the type of 5e server you have running from your description, but not the what the settlement is, what kind of world it is, or what kind of characters would appropriately fit well.
Haven is the main town BroadHaven is the area Traditional old fashion town - tavern, main street etc Haven is surrounded with a forest (hunting, fishing and foraging), mine (mining), and various islands. To give you an idea of town life - we have a bard who entertains in the tavern - she also is the town healer A Paladin who protects the bard (who seems to get into trouble too much) We have a NPC drunk who pickpockets - one of the daily quests is for 2 characters - one plays themselves and the other plays the drunk. A bot has been created to enable this. We have Avrae coding adapted and created for Broadhaven regarding fishing, smoking fish, drunkeness, carousing, to name just a few.
1) An explorer/ merchant leaving the town to find items to sell or simply sell where something can be found/harvested. More into exploration, but everyone's got to eat.
2) I guess experienced. I have need playing since red/ blue box sets for basic.
1.). Keystone Yoister is a Dwarven construction worker who specializes in Masonry and Carpentry. Having recently moved to Haven, he currently works at the mine quarrying stone. He is alway looking to help erect a new building for the town, from communal public locations to individual homes. He hopes to one day secure his own land claim for his own endeavors.
He practices the arcane arts in his off time and will gladly trade his construction services for access to others’ spells and scrolls.
2.) I played as a kid and young adult (Blue and Red boxed basic, AD&D, 2e) and recently with 5e in a couple of one-shot groups.
1. I would like to introduce Caleb Nale, and young-looking 30-something who has come to town to ply his trade as an undertaker, now that Haven has reached a reasonable size for such a service. Knowledgeable in many regional religions, he likes the idea of catering to the last wishes of the departed and their family. Comfort and dignity at the end of life: that's his lofty goal.
2. I've DM'ed several campaigns that lasted the better part of a year, and have occasionally been a player. Never tried PbP before.
I have a character in mind if your still accepting. He is a human bartender always friendly and willing to lend a hand. Speaking of hands he is missing his forearm. However when anyone askes him how it happened the story always changes. He reminisces about days past and wishes for adventure. His name is Chuck Morgan.

I am part of the cult of Jerry, fear Jerry, love Jerry, be Jerry, we are Jerry. I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to Dm recently. I owe everyone a lot of apologies . I'm really sorry. I would like to start a new campaign. Message me for questions.
I have a character that would enjoy joining. His name is Barthor.
Barthor is a Sorcerer Tiefling. He’s overly serious. Spends most of his time in books learning about the history of the world and arcana. He’s aspires to master illusions and bending reality to his whim. He joins adventures as often as he can to sharpen his skills. On the side he runs a little library. He strictly enforces the silence of the library but will engage in firey debates around all things magic and some casual conversation with other inquisitive minds.
im a newer DND player. Barthor is one of the character concepts I’ve been working on and would enjoy playing him casually. He’s got some pretty strong rolls so he’s set up to develop well. Lmk if you want a sheet link (:
Yes it's on Discord. We also use Owl Rodeo or Roll 20 for campaigns, Dnd Beyond or Avrae for dice rolls. We're very flexible and work with the party on campaigns.

Haven is a town within BroadHaven. It's on the main land but it is near the coast. BroadHaven does have islands.
Those who have expressed an interest - I've DM'd you.
Sure. I'm interested.
