Kell looks a little self conscious as he looks down. "Well it weren't all that, it was a pretty simple trick." Glancing up a dusk, Kell puts a finger to his lips and winks "Don't go givin' away all my secrets now, a body's gotta have a couple tricks up his sleeve"
Dusk's head again vibrates as it laughs, as it responds, "I can appreciate the skill. But you can appreciate the magic. Who am I to take that from you?"
Togar has a serious look on his face, concentrating on the cards, after he has finished his spell. “This… this does not make sense. I sense no magic here. But I cannot explain… what happened. How in the….“ He looks up at Kell and his eyes go wide, there are indeed more things in heaven and earth than he has been exposed to. “Live and learn. I suppose that we all can learn from one another. That was most impressive… Kell.”

Week 3 of travel
Traveling down the road, you come across a gruesome scene. You find a covered wagon rolled over on its side. Lying in front of it are two dead mules. Approaching closer, you notice immediately there more than just mules here. There are several still bodies strewn about, all of the bodies have spiderwebs wrapped around them in one or two places. You can hear some whimpering or crying coming from within as your wagon passes by. You passerby a small camp set up on the side of the road. The single tent and table are full of leather cases and large sheets of parchment. Just up the road from the camp you find a young man with a piece of charcoal making markings in a book while looking at the nearby trees. Towards the end of the week, you begin hearing the sounds of thunder boom overhead and a torrential downpour begins to happen. It continues the next three days and shows no signs of letting up. Travel has slowed down a little bit, due to the dirt roads turning muddy. There is also a threat of flooding, should the rain continue, as your current road is following a stream.
Khessa'ssurvival skill provides each of you with 2 more days of fresh food. Kell'shunting trap kept getting sprung, but failed to capture anything this week. (Rolled a 3in game log) The remaining days you resort to eating your rations.
You may choose to interact with any of the memorable events that happened, or we can continue on to week 4. Only two options this week and this large storm isn't really something you can interact with, though feel free to prove me wrong.
Khessa immediately checks the wagon for survivors! If possible, she also tries to understand something about the nature, number and movements of the attackers (what they were, where they came from, which way they went next).
The small pinholes in the site of its head detect the sound of movement and crying, so Dusk gets off their cart and heads over to the wagon looking for whatever is making those sounds.
@Jus - small fromatting request. Can you please separate the different events into different paragraphs? It's a bit confusing knowing when one thing is ending and another event 'begins' as it is.
Togar joins Khessa, jumping down to investigate the wagon, as well as the spiderwebs, looking for any survivors and investigating the spiderwebs as well, then looks up trying to determine where the attack came from. He will take flight to get the perspective from above.
Investigation to check wagon, and webbed figures : 25
Perception, to determine movement, signs of attackers, giant spiders? : 17
After that, Togar will interact with the cartographer..
As you all approach the overturned wagon it doesn't take much to figure out what happened here or where the attackers may have gone. Khessa, as you get closer, the whimpering begins to get louder, and you begin to hear a chattering sound. You then watch as two large arachnid legs wrap up and over the wagon and a half dozen eyes begin to peer over the top of the wagon and at you. All of you watch as this massive spider climbs up and on top of the overturned wagon. It's form spans the entirety of the 12 foot wagon. It lets out a screeching war cry, as three more of these massive spiders come skittering out of the timber line and begin moving closer to your wagon.
Khessa and Togar, you may take your turns immediately as these four massive spiders have taken to a new prey-- you.
(OOC: We will do combat and roleplay at the same time to streamline everything. You're free to interact with the cartographer while we're still in combat, since the events take place at different time. Moving forward, Dusk, I will most certainly do that!)
Togar is startled by the large spiders. He reaches down to his hand and activates his special new ring and turns invisible, then flies backward, up into the air and to the side, 30 feet away, moving away from the others so that they are not all bunched together. He pulls out his wand, readying himself to attack the next round.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((I checked the rolls in the log and saw that Dusk's initiative was only rolled once. As I said in OOC, I'll always have adv on intiative rolls, so I went ahead and rolled again there and got a 22. So I'm going to go ahead and add my actions in here as well with K and T at the top of the initiative.))
As the spiders come clambering around the cart, Dusk lifts its shield and quickly assesses the situation. Seeing the four spiders, its eye-stones flash quickly before they completely dim, dimming the area around as well. ((Channel Divinity: Twilight Sanctuary --- Anyone in the dim light can roll 1d6+3 at the end of your turn and add that in temp HP)). Dusk then points a 2-fingered hand towards the nearest spider as a dim silhouette of the moon appears behind the aracnid, attempting to slam into it.
Khessa is filled with a fit of anger, at the thought of the poor travelers who have fallen victim to these oversized vermins and, further encouraged by the beneficent light that the construct has shed, she draws the Greatsword in a flash, thinking: 'Avimm!' and summoning him in the shadow of the overturned wagon 'when I attack, try to distract my target!'
(OOC: Asking Avimm to take the help, thus giving Khessa advantage on her first attack against a spider. If Avimm can not do this in this round where he appears, the instructions will hold for the next rounds - Khessa will attack anyway, whether Avimm has the time to distract her opponent first or not)
The blonde arcane warrior then makes a quick and agile gesture with the fingers of her left hand, tighten both hands on the grip of her weapon and delivers a blow against the closest spider, backing it with all her weight and that of the large blade.
Khessa, you summon Avimm and ask it to help. You then sheath your greatsword in green flames and strike at the Bloodied Spider that has charged in your direction. Your strike lands as you cut into the Bloodied Spider dealing 9points of slashing damage.
Togar, you activate your ring of invisibility and fly up and to the side as to create distance between you and your allies.
Dusk, you create a dome of dim light surrounding you, which provides 6temporary hit points to Khessa, Erlang, Kell, and yourself. You then summon your spiritual weapon. It attempts to slam into the Giant Spider standing on top of the wagon, but doesn't hit the spider hard enough to deal any damage, or knock its footing loose.
The Bloodied Spider attempts to bite you, Khessa after you just hit it with your greatsword. Attack: 13 Damage: 6 (If this attack hits you Khessa, please give me a CON save!)

Kell, upon seeing the carnage of the wagon, immediately pushes himself out of the opening in the back. His eyes go wide at the sight of the spiders, but he quickly refocuses and dashes towards the Feasting Spider. He launches himself into a shoulder roll half way there, and as he comes up to a crouch, there is a razor sharp steel throwing card between his index finger and his middle finger. He throws it ahead of him then closes the distance, slamming his fist into the face of the huge spider, then launching a roundhouse kick towards its side. After hitting the creature, he dances backwards ten feet, evading the nasty looking mandibles of the arachnid. "Well damn, aint you all ugly as sin. Do us a favor and find a traveling circus where your special looks will be more appreciated."

'Well, he's a nimble guy' Khessa thinks, following Kell's maneuvers from the corner of her eye, while remaining focused on the enemy she is facing - and well she does, because the monstrous spider she just hit immediately seeks revenge with its jaws! But the elven steel armor immediately shows off its excellent quality and does not give way under the bite - not even a scratch remains on the floral friezes.

As the sight of the massive spiders fills Erlang's vision, he yawns and stands up, stretching lazily, his hand instinctively finds the comforting grip of his glaive. His attention momentarily shifts to his surroundings, to find the space that Togar had occupied moments ago is now vacant. Confusion furrows his brow as he mumbles to himself in a low voice, "Where did he go?" A perplexed expression flits across Erlang's handsome face, but it is quickly replaced by an indifferent shrug. "Doesn't matter."
Without hesitation, Erlang leaps down from the wagon, his landing graceful and sure-footed. His stride is purposeful as he closes the distance between himself and the monstrous spider that looms ahead. The glaive swings through the air, guided by his skilled hands and honed instincts, aiming to cleave through the arachnid's exoskeleton.
Kell, as you approach the Feasting Spider to attack it, you notice it has part of a leg hanging out of it's mouth. The Feasting Spider drops the leg and attempts to bite you, Kell. Attack: 6 Damage: 7(If this attack hits you Kell, please give me a CON save!)
