The object you, Khessa, pick up that fell from the cart is a rock. Just a simple rock.
(OOC: Going to wait for Togar to move forward with the girl with the ring moment)
Togar kneels down and makes quite the display for the young girl, saying “This ring (indicates conjured ring) seems neat to me, we can trade, maybe mine will help you learn magic!” Puff of smoke and look of wonderment, and a kind smile. “Trade? No backsies!” Togar’s eyes are focused on the ring, curious and fascinated with it, he feels his heart skip a beat.
"hmm, OK!" she says with a cheer as she tosses her ring in an arch toward you and snatches your conjured ring out of your hand "daddy will love this ring!" And she continues skipping off, back in the direction of Whiteridge playing with her new ring. Togar you now have this beautiful platinum signet ring. The face of the ring is a stunning sapphire, and it has gold filled etchings around the rest of the band.
"Wait just a last moment, girl..." Khessa runs after the young woman, sighing "I think that, with time, you'll learn to trust waaaay less the eventual exotic-looking guy who makes you offers at first sight too tempting - but meanwhile... here, buy yourself something that you really need or like" she hands her 10gp. "And I wish you a happy and carefree life... You remind me so much of my little sister Larrya..." a lump in her throat prevents her from continuing to speak, for a while; but in the end the blonde arcane warrior manages to go on "Goodbye! We have to go" and she returns to the wagon, starting to drive again.
Togar looks down at the ring, rather amazed, and slips it on. He has an odd look on his face, straightens up and hops back in the wagon. He straightens up stiffly and looks like nothing has happened, saying “What?” if everyone looks at him. “It’s magical, I need to study it. And it may help us in our task. That girl didn’t know what she had.” He goes silent, riding on. “Looks good on my finger, anyway.” he says under his breath, looking everywhere else, at a passing bush or tree, avoiding eye contact.

If no one is able to examine the (eventual) rock's magical powers, Khessa simply loads the rock onto the wagon - because it was previously simply loaded onto the Cart... so perhaps, if it has some special effect, this is how them get activated - and if it's a common rock instead, its weight will certainly not be what will make the difference for the wagon.
Erlang will get ten more days of rations while they are in Roonshire. (Is it possible to sell some of his equipment while he’s in town?)
Perched at the front of the wagon, Erlang watches the interaction between Togar and the girl with a mix of amusement and skepticism. As Togar conjures a ring and offers it in exchange for the girl's invisibility ring, Erlang can't help but scoff softly, a wry smile tugging at the corners of his lips. His fingers absentmindedly trace the yin-yang pattern on his harmonica, his gaze shifting between the owlin and the girl. The audacity of the trade proposal seems amusing to him, and a playful spark dances in his eyes.
When Togar returns to the wagon, victorious with the newly acquired ring adorning his claw-like hand, Erlang stretches his arms lazily. A yawn escapes his lips, and with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he remarks. "How does it fit anyway? Your hands are like claws.”
Watching the interactions, Dusk learns that the owl is not to be trusted, and that the female human seems to have concern for ones other than herself. Dusk will then help Khessa load the rock into their cart, and then is happy to sit back at the front as she drives, keeping its eye-stones watching the road ahead.

When they are in Roonshire, Togar purchases 10 additional rations as well. As they are riding along, he is fiddling with the ring, twirling it around his finger and thinking. He looks up with eyes that are wide and questioning when Erlang asks his question.
“How does it fit? I don’t know, it just does. Slips right over my proximal interphalangeal joint just fine, right into this slightly webbed space. I do have claws, but somehow it fits right over.” He begins to ritually cast detect magic as they are riding, also examining the rock if they have come upon that yet.
After he’s done so, and as he’s looking around, he says “So, I’m headed to the academy. The Thearrothen Academy. As soon as I’m done with this. However long that will take. I was headed south but *ahem* was sidetracked and Ozemon made me a nice.. offer. How did the rest of you end up here? Just thought we could pass some time, while we are riding..”.
You cast detect magic and your new ring glows faintly with an aura denoting the ring is enchanted with illusion magic. Nothing else in the cart radiates with any sort of magical note.
(OOC:Erlang you can, what are you looking to sell?)
You ritually cast identify on your new ring. It takes a little bit longer than your normal rituals due to the fact you're riding in a moving wagon, but nonetheless, you cast the spell and in your hands you hold a ring of invisibility.
Week 2 of travel
You continue setting off in to your second week of travel. At one point you pass a small group of 4 adventurers. Their gear appears slightly damaged and bloodied and they shout "be wary again. We cleared out a kobold warren up the road. A few got away." Toward the end of the week a large gang of elk rush out of the forest on your left and stampede over the road, surrounding your horse and wagon. After a few moments you begin hearing loud, ground shaking thuds as it seems something large is running through the forest. the horses quickly become panicked and take off, pulling you further down the road in a fast flurry, thankfully through all the bumps in the road, none of your wagon wheels break or come undone. Looking back, you see a very large giant come bounding out of the forest. It looks toward the elk that have moved into a farmer's pasture then the giant looks in the direction of your wagon. Realizing it won't catch up to your wagon, the giant gives chase to the elk again.
You may choose to interact with any of the memorable events that happened, or we can continue on to week 3.
Group of adventurers
Kobold warren
Giant
Khessa'ssurvival skill provides each of you with 2 days of fresh food, Kell'shunting trap provides everyone with another 2 days of fresh food. The remaining 3 days however, you resort to eating your rations.
(OOC: OK, updated number of rations in Khessa's inventory)
- Group of adventurers Khessa tries to have a chat with the adventurers: "Really? A kobold warren? Did they make themselves dangerous by raiding travellers?" After starting the conversation, the blonde arcane warrior has the group summarize their deeds (they will like to brag about it, I guess!), paying attention to any kobold traps or strategies decribed (so she can remember them, in case one day she has to storm a kobold warren herself). Finally, she asks if anyone in the group is as passionate about arcane knowledge as she is, and if they'd be interested in a quick spell-sharing session (if there is another wizard, she allows the other wizard to copy a spell from her spellbook, if the other wizard lets her copy one of his - it is a reasonably quick process; the time required for a 1st level spell is 2 hours - half of this if you are savant in that school - anyway, even not halved, it's no more than twice as long as a short rest would be).
"Yes, there is a bounty on it" one of the adventurers pulls out a poster of some sort rolled up and waves it "we're off to collect on it now" the group shares a few of the traps they can recollect with you Khessa. It didn't appear that anyone in the group had magical powers.

(OCC: Oh, what an ill-balanced group of adventurers! Who was the DM who chose them!? 😉)
Khessa is slightly disappointed by the missed opportunity to increase her magical knowledge, but she smiles and congratulates with pats on the back of the interlocutors: "Great! You earned it, guys! Now thanks to you the road is safer!"
And, if no one else has unfinished business here, she continues the journey with the wagon…

Togar :
Khessa would find Togar very interested in sharing arcane information, offering his spellbook to discuss spells and their uses, motions of somatic components and ways to pronounce the verbal components. Unfortunately he’s running low on the amount of ink and preparatory materials for copying new spells (50 gp) in his book, but he would be curious to look through Khessa’s book nonetheless. Togar would spend some time along the way attuning to the ring. In regard to the kobolds and the giant, he doesn’t have much interest, unless it becomes clear that the kobolds and threatening travelers on the road, and if the will of the group is to stop that, he would definitely offer to help.

Absorb Elements(1st) Burning Hands(1st) Feather Fall(1st) Magic Missile(1st) Protection from Evil and Good(1st) Shield(1st)
Khessa will pay close attention to Owlin's improvised lesson on spells and their uses, motions of somatic components and ways to pronounce the verbal components ("Oh, so it's Leviosa, not Leviosaaa!") and will take frequent notes. The blonde arcane warrior will finally invest some time and special inks to copy Detect Magic in her spellbook (2 hours - 50gp)
Kell doesn't seem bothered by most of the things that happen during the trip, but as Khessa and Togar discuss magic, his interest does seem piqued. He says nothing, but raises his eyebrow a couple times as they chat about the pronunciations of certain verbal components. Perhaps they would benefit from...No, that part of your life is behind you, Kell. Focus on the future. Eventually he does speak up, his mouth twisting into a grin "Say, you two. You wanna see some real magic?"
