Devarus doesn't object, but gives the corpses a hard look before dragging and lining up the Runt's looted bodies to be dealt with later. He tosses aside any notion of setting them ablaze to look at the cave mouth nearby. So instead, he finds a rock of his own to sit, and bury his face into callused hands to rest. It is only when the party is ready to interrogate that he tiredly readies to fire upon the Orc over any funny moves made.

As Elsara finishes casting her spell grabs her head and takes a few steps back. Facing away from the the corpses, she informs the party that Affectus Uti magic is surrounding the orcs. It is strong and it stings her eyes like bright light when she has detect magic active.
"So this magic that feeds on emotions have entrhall the orcs and that's why they are behaving like that. I was surprised not only for the ferocity of their attack to the twonsfolk, but for the relentess of their attacks. We must find what is causing this and stop it, unfortunately until we did I am afraid that we cannot negotiate with them and that they are going to fight to the death against us. Stealth is our best option here I think. " he looks towards the cave " I can use the mice discretion to look inside it if you want..."
Valwarin looks to the orc prisioner.
"Can we expect that once we have found the source of the magic, I guess that another statue or something they've found, the efects will pass and this one will recover his senses? "
"Then we should hope for the better. We should keep him restrained until we find and destroy the foccus of this magic. And hope for it to leave his body once it's gone. What do you think?" he asks looking to the others.
Devarus still looks out of sorts after the fight, so only well after the fact catches the look. "Scouting mice and restraining the poor fellow here sounds like a plan to me. We shouldn't take too long scouting. Only be a matter of time before they send someone else out here to check on things." After one final check on the area for any intact bolts, the half-drow slings scattershot over his shoulder ready to move at a call.
"If this mice of yours can at least scout out a path of least resistance, or, hmmm, places where defenses are weakest."

He sits and for a moment he seems to mumble something. He then climbs up the ladders and turns into a small mouse and darts off into the tunnels trying to learn as much as possible.
He casts Speak with Animals on himslef if he can use to talk with other mouse or rats he eno****er and then turn into a field mouse and enter the caves.
Val slips into the cave with no issue. It is dark inside. He can still see up to 60ft thanks to dark vision.
The first thing Val notices is that the cave walls are surprisingly straight. The walls don't curve in or out like how its common with most caves. This gives the cave a more box-like shape that is common in man-made rooms rather than a cylindrical tunnel like shape that is common in most natural caves. They are also just barely smoother than any cave wall naturally should be. These two features give the cave an uncanny feeling. The path leading to the entrance is 10ft wide and stretches north for 60ft and then turns east sharply. Moving forward to the north wall and turning to the east, Val sees the tunnel stretch eastward into the darkness. The tunnel is longer than the range of his elven darkvision. Val can hear something at the end of the tunnel, coming from the darkness. It sounds like a mixture between heavy breathing, shivering and restrained laughter.
As Val slowly gets a bit closer, the breathing stops momentarily then continues but in a slightly different pattern. Upon getting further into the hall, something jumps out at Val from the darkness. It appears to be a strange creature. It is hunched over on four limbs. It is very thin; its skeleton is visible through the skin. Its mouth is lined with sharp teeth and two large tusks, very much like the ones orcs have. It is completely bald and each of its five fingers end in sharp "nails" that seem to have fused to the bone beneath.
The thing tries to sink its claws into Val and eat him, obviously believing the druid to be a simple mouse.

As the claws and teeth sink it to Val, the druid is taken out of his wildshape and returns to elf form. Seeing this, the creature gets surprised and runs back into the darkness. You hear sounds of it descending stairs. The hall is quiet now.
(EDIT: Why can't I roll like this when I'm a player? Here I am hitting so many times it's making what should be relatively simple encounters into deadly ones and in another campaign, I missed 8 attacks in a row in spite of having a +7 to hit)
No but the thing that attacked Val didn't make enough noise while doing it for Runt to hear (kind of like those animals that hunt with stealth). If Val decides to shout out, Runt and the others can hear him.
He beated my 24 on stealth? man! I need that senses as hunter!
Valouse squeaks as a mouse but the sound ends in a scream on his elf form. Seeing that the creature is more startled at him that himself he recoils to the entrance and motion the others to come up. Once in daylight he checks his wounds looking for signs of infection.
Medicine: 21
Once they gather at the entrance he says.
"Well I was spotted and attacked by a creepy creature who resemblance an orc, but it wasn't an orc. At least not anymore." he describes the creautre and the encounter. "He has very acute senses that's for sure, so no point in trying to go in stealth. It thought I was an actual mouse, of course, and was surprised. I do not know if we will be so lucky next time. Or if it has friends.
Reasons why he spotted you even though you rolled 24 on stealth:
The cave hall itself lacks places to hide in. Stealth is really good and your roll was really good to but Stealth doesn't make you invisible. Even as a mouse, with nothing but small spaced out pebbles and the occasional LEGO brick sized rock to hide behind combined with the fact that it was a long-ass hallway made hiding neigh impossible. On top of this, the creature had a darkvision of 120 ft while you had a darkvision of 60ft. Because of this, your final stealth roll became 24 - 5 = 19 (Disadvantage) and he had 16 + 5 = 21 (Advantage, +6 to Perception and Passive Perception 16). So he spotted you.
Not wanting to crowd Val, Devarus kept his distance and scattershot trained further down the entryway in case the creature he saw regained some bravery. "I am just glad you alright." He says, shooting a sidelong look to the injured elf. "But if we are to move, we should move quickly before it has time to prepare. Even this thing is feral, having that much more time to warn any friendlies or hide will only make things harder on us."He mentions. "Did you notice anything else? Any side tunnels?"

At the sound of “we should be on the move,” Gendan mobilizes and stays toward the front of the group. “I don’t think I’ll bother with that darkness spell this time around.” She grabs her pact weapon out of thin air and and wiggles her fingers as purple energy flits between them.

My poor attempt at trying to spell out the sound:
Heheee-eeee-eeee-eeeh-heeeeh-eeee-eeeee-eeeh
The closest thing I can find online:
That's creepy!!
