Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Seeing that the amulet has taken the best of her friend Val jumps towards her trying to stop her. In the middle of the jump the elf's form shifts and changes and what crash towards her is no longer an elf but a bulky brown bear. Val tries to use his new weight to put her down to the floor and inmobilze her.
( Let's see if this works. Val turns into a Brown bear and tries to pin Runt to the floor. This needs for a grapple first, right? and in the next turn if that is still active when his turn comes another roll to see if he pins her.. just in case:
(Damn, I was considering fudging die rolls but I decided to open about it in the end. Even if I decided to fudge, I don't think I would have convinced anyone that a 9 hit)
Runt quickly moves to block the arrow with her own body. The amulet is more important than herself. Her strong skin blocks the arrow without issue.
Runt's turn. As a free action Runt may command the zombies. She may also use an action to summon 4 puppets (Must have no more than 2 puppets on the map for this to work.) The amulet is designed to attune immediately to whoever touches it. However, consistency is near impossible to maintain with soul magic since every soul is different. The amulet was created for Jerrick so it bound to his soul instantly. In such a short time the amulet has not bounded fully to Runt yet so she can't use the Affectus Uti spells with the amulet.
Gendan you are in the queen's room looting her jewellery when you hear the sound of fighting from the throne room.
Wall (=); Debris - Difficult Terrain: 5ft extra movement ("); Broken Glass - Damage if prone (^); Stairs (/); Throne -3/4 Cover (U); Golden Candelabra (|); Knocked Over Golden Candelabra (__); Floor (0); Door (%); Outside (!); WARNING: When I say outside, it means there is no floor there. moving on to a (!) means you fall from the 2nd floor of the castle all the way down to the ground. You will take falling damage and be put out of combat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The current puppets only guard Runts flank. She pulls out her axe and glares at the bear. Pathetic worm. Cant even fight properly when wearing a better creatures skin. Die.
With fire and fury, Runt brings her might to bear on Val.
Attack: 26 Damage: 16
Attack: 26 Damage: 9

( I dont want to TPK us, but it's what Runt would do in this situation *crys*)
(Well, that's kind of the point here. And Val is druid and he just needs to break/remove the amulet so my money is on Val. He even has another wildshape. Plus there's still Gendan.)
The zombies follow Runt's commands and gather around her, only 2 of the 3 make it. The last one doesn't get all the way. Runt, bolstered by the amulet and the might of the Storm Bringer, deals two might blows on Val.
( You are doing great @AnimeSquirrel. Those are proper player rolls not like mine!! XD Problem is Val doesn't want to kill his friend... so he will try to go easy on her lol. So @ZulkRS if Val tries to bit the forearm of the hand that is holding the amulet how do we do that? The idea is to provoke her to drop the amulet, bitting and probably breaking that arm so she can snap out of it. I will post his actions though, with an athletics check if you need it. Just ignore what you think is unnecesary or innapropiate. )
Growling in pain the bear uses one of his claws to push Runt on the shoulder of the arm she is wearing the amulet and tries to bite the forearm of so she is forced to drop the cursed thing.
@Val, she is wearing the amulet so there would be no biting at the arms. To attack the amulet you can bite/claw it. DC12, roll disadvantage. To take it from Runt, roll athletics contested by Runt's Athletics/Acrobatics.
( Ok the Athletics was only if you wanted to see if he can "lock" the arm so he can beat it. He will aim for the amulet DC12 with disadvantage I will no roll again 'cause Beyond hates Val and even if I roll higher that would miss )
You know what. Val, roll one attack again. You made two attacks without disadvantage. I'm counting the second roll as disadvantage for the first. Roll for bite attack with disadvantage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Val you bite on to the amulet and toss it away. As the amulet is sent flying away from Runt, it attempts to take Runt's soul with it. However, having not bound fully to Runt's soul it can't steal it like it did for Jerrick. Doesn't stop the amulet from trying though.
Runt's CHA save: 13 (DC15) Damage: 19 Necrotic (Half on success)
Runt you now no longer feel the strong urge to conquer and destroy. You also don't feel that the amulet is as good for you as you did when you had it. You also don't feel like you're the strongest person in the world. However, Affectus Uti magic is not a simple Charm spell. It warps how a person truly feels. Thus you have a very insignificant confidence boost and a very minor and resistible passing feeling of wanting to rule. It is the internal wound left by the amulet. It may heal over time.
As the amulet flies off and lands on the ground. The big eye in the ceiling blinks and the amulet begins glowing. All the puppets crumble to dust and Val can see the souls of the people that became these puppets fly into the amulet. Even more souls from outside enter the room and fly into the amulet. Then the amulet shatters. All this happened extremely fast, too fast for anyone to react. Val gets the feeling that the souls were not sent to the afterlife but rather, some other location. The large eye closes and melds back into the ceiling. The mad jester has stopped watching.
DM: I was planning on giving everyone 1000-1500 XP for this but this battle was far more exciting for me than I thought it would. So I'm giving everyone whatever XP they need to boost to level 6. You all level up. I will allocate the custom feats after I make them. Finally Jerrick's body has a perfectly good Cloak of Protection. Does anyone want it?
Also Deva is rolling Death Saves: 7 Someone should do something about that. If he is brought back, he would be back at full health because like I said before, everyone gets the benefits of Long Rest upon Level up.
Yeah make sense to me.
So Runt: Deva hasn't shot yet and the amulet is still there. What do you do? Also Does Gendan care about this?
Gendan is too busy checking the castle for loot and secret doors to stop Deva from shooting at Runt.

Both Javelins hit Deva and he falls but before he does, he has one chance to release the arrow he was holding.
Deva you may fire for the amulet. Roll with disadvantage. Amulet AC is 12.
With what may be his last breathes, Devarus releases the arrow as he falls. 'Mother... I'm sorry...' He thought, hitting the ground hard.
