"A kenku? No, it didn't look like a Kenku at all. Something else, not sure what though. Let me think, now that I've described it, what does it remind me of?" Zeg tapped his head and thought for a moment. "Sure gave me a bad feeling though, I know that."
Here is a flat D20 roll to see if Zeg can think of what kind of creature the Sowpig may have been. Not sure which skill to apply
Navi’s head was spinning. It was as if she couldn’t pick a direction! There were so many lost little ones, and for so long too. How could she keep track! She wanted to try to help. Surely they weren’t simply just at the lost property area, would they be? She wondered.
“Hey, listen!” The fairy shouts habitually. “To the dragonfly rides for little Luz!” She chimes, remembering Dirlagraun‘s suggestion. “Then pig kid with the lollypop!” Navi agreed with Cottentail. Sure there was something about that Sowpig girl, but admittedly what kept Navi most interested in her, was the colourful lollypop, and she really wanted it/one of her own.
The full description of Sowpig continues to jog thoughts, or perhaps memories, in Navi's mind. In fact, Navi seems to think that she saw this same child on her original visit to the Carnival, many years ago. But that can't be! Such a child would have grown into an adult long since.
Zeg:
Try as he might, Zeg can't seem to put a finger on what manner of creature might have been hiding under the pig mask. But Zeg's impression is that it was not human, and if not, then possibly not a child either.
Dirlagraun waves farewell as the group depart, thanking them for their help, and assuring them that the parents of the two children will return for them shortly, as they simply left them there for minding while they went to purchase food. It takes a little time to cover the short distance to the entrance of the dragonfly rides: Flynn and Faelan are slowed by the press of the crowds, although Flynn simply has to follow Faelan, who pushes eagerly ahead through the throng in his haste to reach his friend. Navi and Zeg can take the easier route overhead, but still slow down a little for the distraction of the sideshows and performers.
They all soon come to where a twelve-foot-tall walking tree, garlanded in golden ribbons, marches along the thoroughfare. Emerald clouds swirl above the tree and rain down golden, spinning sycamore seeds, which fairgoers try to catch before they hit the ground. While the seeds gently fall, a chatty squirrel scampers along the boughs of the treant, handing out dry dandelion seed heads to select passersby. The squirrel occasionally pauses to swat at a small floating sphere of light, somewhat like a will-o-wisp, which buzzes around the branches of the treant.
Welcome, welcome, one and all! calls the treant in a deep woody voice as the sycamore seeds flutter down.
Makeawish. Makeawish. Makeawish. the squirell repeats rapidly as it hands a dandelion seed to each person.
If you'd like to try to catch a sycamore seed, please make a Dexterity check. If you'd like to make a wish by blowing on a dandelion seed, please let me know your wish. You can PM if you want, or just write it in the thread, it's up to you.

'Haunted' by flashing memories, Navi just couldn't quite put her finger on why that Pig Girl kept coming up. Tapping her nose, she'd coast along from above, keeping tabs on her legged friends to make sure she doesn't lose them along the way. "Hey, listen!" Buzzing 'casually' by them as they laboured through the crowd, the fairy ponders aloud. "Let's say if I saw that Sowpig girl back in the day, shouldn't she be a Sowpig lady by now?"
Navi stops abruptly. "Oh. My. Gods." Her jaw drops. "Flynn, look at that wood! It is so big! It looks like that squirrel's best friend." She exclaims. "Who understands them too!? They only hang around, because they bring joy together, okay? I mean that wood, it's just so big! Wow, I can't believe it's just so round, it's like out there, I mean, wow! Amazing! There just so much bark!" She chatters on. "I like beautiful bark and I cannot lie!" The fairy zips off with enthusiasm towards the beautiful tree and it's companion.
Bursting into the air to gain height, Navi tips down at an apex and opens her arms wide. She soars down full speed towards the squirrel holding out a dandelion. "I wish I could share flight with my friends Flynn and Cottontail!" She takes a deep breath and blows as she passes by with her wish. Then with gleeful giggles the flickering fairy flies paralelle to the ground with her remaining momentum before flapping her wings and tucking her arms to kick her back upwards, turning herself into a spin, corkscrewing up into the rain of dancing sycamore seeds. When she finally comes out of her spin she opens her arms again in hopes to catch a seed in her palm.

Faelan finally sees a mote of light and try to check if that’s his friend Luz before calling her name. He would not want to call the wrong light.

Zeg gave a sour look. "No, can't say what kind of creature/person Sowgirl was. I don't think it was a child, or even human for that matter. but what, I don't know."
Floating overhead as they moved their way to the Dragonfly Rides Zeg looks around and takes in the sights and is surprised by just how many people are at the carnival. Then taking a dandelion seed. "I wish I could remember"
All thoughts of lost things and strange creatures are briefly forgotten as the sycamore seeds gently flutter all around the treant and his squirrel assistant. Giant dragonflies buzz loudly overhead in the starlit night sky with wings as brilliant as stained-glass windows, as they launch from huge lily pads resting on the surface of a nearby pool glistening with phosphorescent algae in the moonlight. Cries of delight are heard from children at the nearby carousel, as they clamber aboard a procession wooden unicorns which come to life and canter around the circular platform. Mixed with the sounds of music and mirth and the heady scent of flowers, mead and berry pie wafting from the nearby Feasting Orchard, the combined effect is one that causes Zeg, Navi, Flynn and Faelan to lose themselves for a just moment in the simple joy of the Carnival.
Zeg almost gets knocked out of the air by a blue streak of lightning in the shape of a fairy, but manages to stay aloft enough to snatch a falling sycamore seed. It dissolves into his feathers leaving a momentary pattern something akin to a clock face, which fills the little owlin with an unusual sense of confidence. (Zeg gains a d8, which he can add to one ability check he makes before the next dawn.)
Navi and Flynn both catch a sycamore seed with relative ease, each of which promptly turns into a shiny gold coin in their hands! However it isn't any kind of coin that they've ever seen before, and could well have been minted in a distant land, or perhaps on another world that the carnival has visited! Looking around, Navi sees that some fairgoers catch seeds that turn into small bags of sparkling dust. When sprinkled on another person, they seem able to lift off the ground and hover, or with a bit of practice to even fly around! The little fairy remembers her wish, and wonders if Flynn or Faelan might be lucky enough to catch a bag of pixie dust too.
(Blowing on the dandelion seeds and making wishes doesn't have any noticeable effect)
Meanwhile, Faelan's sole focus in on the little sphere of light buzzing around the treant's branches. It only takes a coupld of attempts at calling out for the shiny mote to come zipping down and start weaving erratic circles around the harengon's head, fast enough that even Navi would get dizzy trying to follow it. As usual, Luz makes no kind of verbal communication, but Faelan has been friends long enough to recognise the pattern of an excited greeting akin to "I'm so happy to see you!"
As the welcome gifts are being shared and the wishes are being made, suddenly there is a shift in the collective mood of the crowd, and the sounds of delight become mingled with discordant cries of alarm and fear. It isn't long before the source becomes apparent: a giant dragonfly hovers erratically above the lily pad launching area, zipping quickly one way and then another, while a middle-aged dwarf with a bright blue beard dangles from the rein, hanging on for dear life as he is whipped back and forth. At present the height of the dragonfly isn't sufficient for a fall to be fatal, but the threat of such is certainly the cause of alarm among the crowd, and cries of "Help him! Help him!" and "Somebody do something!" pierce the din...

Zeg looks up to see the dragonfly zipping around. Perhaps its the small boost of confidence or his greater connection to world and its beasts as a druid but he determines, quickly this time, that he needs to take action. Launching into the air he beats his wings as fast as he can to get close to the dragonfly as he grasps the totem that is on a cord around his neck. He speaks a few words and a wave of his free hand and he casts a quick spell, one that allows him to Speak with Animals
"Hey hey Dragonfly! Hey!" he yells to the dragonfly trying to get its attention. "Slow down friend, calm down! What's goin on! You hurt that poor dwarf on your back! Slow down please!" The words aren't spoken in common, but a weird buzzing and clicking sound as he speaks to the animal directly

Small but quick, the owlin druid zooms over the heads of the anxious crowd to confront the erratic insect. Immediately Zeg can tell that the dragonfly is in a panic, and through the magic of nature can interpret the dragonfly's buzzings as rapid repetitions of something like "Can't eat me. Won't eat me." Zeg's initial appearance in front of the beast does nothing to allay its anxiety, and Zeg hears more frightened buzzing akin to "Another bird!"
However, Zeg's soothing words begin to take effect, and presently the dragonfly begins to slow down and simply hover in mid-air as instructed, with the queasy dwarf still dangling from the rein. The dragonfly's intelligence is limited, but through the magic of the spell, Zeg can understand its rudimentary communication. Nervously the dragonfly asks Zeg:
"You no eat me?"

The dragonfly's buzzing reduces in frequency as it calms further, and slowly it descends until it lands back on the lily pad. The dangling dwarf drops to the pad, then promptly rolls over to the edge and vomits into the pond, but this unsightly act doesn't dissuade the crowd from cheering jubilantly at Zeg's successful intervention. The disaster is averted, all is well, and the calliope music rings out once again, even more merrily than before.
The dragonfly leaves its wings outstretched and mostly stationary, only vibrating them slightly to create sufficient buzz for continued communication, which Zeg 'feels' rather than hears: No eat me. Only talk.

The dwarf passenger overcomes his nausea enough to get up and leave the lily pad, and in fact even manages a weak smile as a group of onlookers crowd around him to hear his account of the adventure. Meanwhile, Zeg is left alone with the dragonfly, who simply replies:
"Other bird-man told me it will eat me."
The dragonfly is as large as a horse, and Zeg is certain that there is no actual bird in the vicinity large enough to eat it.
