Luz replies in her own unique way, bobbing up and down rapidly as an affirmative to Faelan's first question, and pausing briefly before oscillating side to side in the negative to the second question, before finally floating along in a calm, waving pattern as she follows the long-eared harengon.
Zeg scans the crowd, but fails to see any bird or bird-like person, only lots of people wearing fake wings. The crowd has largely dispersed, with many escorting the still-squeamish and probably-reluctant dwarf off to the Feasting Orchard to shout him a few rounds of custard pie. The only thing that catches Zeg's eye is the treant (Zeg thinks it is somewhat small for a treant), who has ceased their seed-distributing duties and is now beckoning Zeg and friends over. The red squirrel is still perched on one of the treant's shoulder.
Bravo! calls out the treant to Zeg. A clever trick that was! You wouldn't be a native of Prismeer by any chance, would you?

I think he is referring to Zeg's conversation with the dragonfly which wouldn't be in common
Not seeing anyone that looks like a bird Zeg turns back to the dragonfly. "Can't talk much longer. No eat you, no be sacred. Be good and have fun!"
Zeg then turns his attention to the treant and walked towards it. In response to the question he answers "Uh, Prismeerm uh no. I'm from quite close by. I live outside of Nashkel actually. Nothing very interesting about that."
"Ok fellas, we can either spread out, or stay together to look for this Sowpig girl... Or whatevah she is." Faelan looks around for a better way to search. "Ah think we should circle the carnival counter clock wise, and go from there."

Faelan knows it can be difficult to find a single person in the Carnival, and undoubtedly more so if the person does not wish to be found. Searching on foot among the crowd is the slowest option with the lowest visibility, but gives the greatest freedom to move around and the greatest ability to intercept someone. Searching from the air would be possible by taking a dragonfly ride, and allow the greatest visibility but the dragonflies typically follow a set pattern, and intercepting a target would mean dropping twenty feet to the ground. Another option is the gondola swans ride, the entrance of which is nearby, which would allow a slow and easy circuit of the grounds, and possibly still allow one to jump off when required. Alternatively, he could leverage his position as a carnival hand to ask other carnival personell for help - most are occupied with their duties, but could be asked to watch out for certain individuals, or asked whether they have seen them.
Faelan also knows that the nearby treant is named Northwind, and is relatively young - not exactly a sapling, but more like... an adolescent tree. The squirrel is named Red, but Faelan doesn't know anything else about it.
The treant looks mildly disappointed that Zeg isn't from 'Prismeer' but responds with a cheerful and excited voice: Oh, well Prismeer is a wonderful place! All the plants and animals and people talk to each other there, and everyone is happy all the time! Did you know the Carnival is from... Just as the treant begins this last phrase, the squirrel that is standing on one of the branches taps the treant with one paw and loudly says: Shuush! after which the treant cuts off with a barely audible Oops! It then speaks again in a much more subdued and professional tone: Er, is there anything we can assist you with today? The tree smiles obsequiously and the squirrel glares suspiciously...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Flynn is watching the exchanges between the squirrel, tree, Zeg and Faelan. Almost absent-mindedly he starts Humming . Then softly in a low voice
"Are you are you going to the tree. The one with a squirrel. Who keeps him company. Strange things happen here but no stranger would it be. If we sat at midnight and talked to the tree" he seems to start a second verse but falters repeats and falters again
"Damn it still can't it was almost there but I cant"
(I am thinking that perhaps Faelan could hop around, and as he passes by a carnival hand that he is familiar with, he could ask if they have seen the girl... Or whatever that is.)

When Faelan suggests that the fellas spread out, a pout appears on Navi's face. She plops down on Finn's head a bit deflated until he clarifies that they shouldn't separate. However she's quickly distracted when the Treant starts to speak excitedly. She starts to buzz, matching the Treant's energy, hanging onto it's every word. Then when they'd be cut off, she's aghast. "The carnival is from... ?" She's left hanging because a little squirrel shushed the cheery Treant! "Where!? Where's the carnival from!?" Her head was spinning.
Navi flies up to the squirrel. "Hey, listen! What's your name?" Hovering there, her head tilts and she looks at him quizzically, her body lights strobe. "Where are you from?" She gives the squirrel an opportunity to respond before she flits up to buzz around the Treant.

"Hi! I'm Navi!" The little fairy chimes. "What's your name?" She smiles warmly. "Your bark looks healthy and strong, and your leaves are so pretty!" She coos. "And I really enjoy your work." Navi really did have fun flying through the shower of seeds and sharing the joy they brought to the other park goers. "I saw some lucky one's got fancy dust that help them fly!" She beams. "Is it possible for you to share some with my ground bound friends?" With her ask her glow calms to a warm light as she touches her two pointer fingers together. "And I like your energy when you share."
Zeg gives a smile. "We're, well, uh, looking for lost things? We found a lost boy. Now we look for other lost things, or people. We are also looking for a girl wearing a pig mask, but I don't think she is lost, I think she is trouble. Also a kenku, but I'm not sure why. Maybe lost. So many lost things and people its hard to keep track."
Zeg thinks for a moment.
"Wait! The dragonfly said a birdman said he would eat him and that's why he was scared. I wonder if the birdman is the kenku. So we gotta find him. He's causing trouble. Not all is right here at the carnival."
The fuzzy squirrel listens intently to Zeg's account of things so far, interjecting in a high-pitched tone with half-formed sentences that are almost too quick to understand, and with eyes occasionally flicking from Zeg up to the little acorn-like nuts that hang from the tree's branches and back again: We're, well, uh, looking for lost things? Talk-to-Dirlagraun-about... We found a lost boy. That's-good-because-so-many... Now we look for other lost things, or people. Oh-around-here-there's-lots-of... We are also looking for a girl wearing a pig mask, but I don't think she is lost, I think she is trouble. Don't-worry-about-her-she's-just... Also a kenku, but I'm not sure why. Maybe lost. Haven't-seen-one-of-those-in-a-long... So many lost things and people its hard to keep track. People-tell-me-that-all-the-time...
The squirrel stops interjecting when Zeg starts talking about the 'birdman', waiting until the end to reply in rapid syllables: Trouble-maker-eh-well-if-you-find-em-you-just-bring-em-to-ol-Red-I'll-give-em-the-ol-one-two-bam-pow-no-one-messes-with-the-carnival-on-my-watch!
While the squirrel is engaged answering Zeg, the treant leans toward Navi with a creak, and shields its mouth-hole with one limb conspiratorially as it whispers rapidly in reply, trying to spill as many secrets to the wide-eyed fairy as possible before his furry companion can upbraid him again: From Prismeer! The Carnival is from Prismeer, and so am I. You look like you might be too, or from one of the Fey realms. Not Mr Witch and Mr Light though. In fact, they aren't even from the Feywild at all! They used to run another carnival, but they swapped theirs with the elf who owned this one, and now she runs theirs and they run hers. Crazy hey? They're supposed to swap back sometime, but I don't know when. But there's a rumor going around that Witch and Light have lost control of things.
At this point the conversation with Zeg ends, and the squirrel snaps its beady eyes back to the tree, who returns an innocent smile.
Navi then flies closer to the squirrel, who flashes a fresh glare of distrust at Navi, with one eyebrow raised (inasmuch as a squirrel has eyebrows) but replies all the same: They-call-me-Red-but-you-can-call-me-mister-Red-or-sir-and-I-am-from-here-and-nowhere-else-that-I-can-remember-being-from.Navi's impression of the furry critter is that he has a mild small-man complex and uses his imperious and distrustful attitude with strangers as a way of expressing as much authority as he can, although he is probably quite pleasant in general.
The fast and fickle fairy then flies back to conversing with the tree, who takes Navi's lavish praise to heart. It's leaves shudder with delight and it seems to grow just a little bit taller. Oh, some pixie dust? Well, we're supposed to save it for later, but if we're friends, then that's okay! Let's be friends, and then your friends are my friends too, right?
Then as Red the squirrel looks on disapprovingly, Northwind the treant reaches into a small hole between two branches and produces two small pouches just like the ones Navi saw earlier. In addition, the treant plucks one of its acorns, and with Red looking on hungrily, it passes the acorn and the pouches to Navi. If you should ever meet another like me, please give them this... my friend.
Poor Flynn looks as lost as ever as he tries hard to follow the multiple conversations taking place between owls, fairies, trees and animals, and he momentarily wonders whether this whole carnival is real or whether he is asleep somewhere. The words of his nascent song sit in his mind like a fly sits in honey - sweet and smooth but trapped, and he wonders whether all these fantastical experiences might someday be set free of their sticky prison and take mellifluous flight.
Faelan listens to the conversation, but also thinks about how to find these strange souls that seem so intent on disturbing his beloved carnival. Help would be needed, and he searches his mind for the names of those he knows who run different locations of the Carnival. The closest ones are: - Diana Cloppington, the centaur who runs the Carousel - Palasha the opera-singing mermaid at Silversong Lake Further away there is also: - Burly the Bugbear, who normally guards the staff area - Candlefoot, the human lad who manages the Hall of Illusions - Treaclewise the goblin, who manages the Bubble-Pot Teapot - Zephixo the dwarf who manages the Mystery Mine ride And of course there's Mr Witch and Mr Light, but he's never actually spoken to them directly before.
Navi practically vibrates in her excitement. Like a little fire fly drawn to the light, she leans in hanging onto every word as the Treant ‘spills the tea’.
“Hi Red!” The nosey little fairy flashes a wide innocent smile at the squirrel when he looks to her.
Butting back up to her budding buddy, Navi gasps when she’s graced with personally gifted bags of fairy pixie dust (the first one’s always free kids!). “O. M. G.s!” She was absolutely delighted. “You are the best!” She beamed genuinely. “Psssh yeah we are!” She assures that her friends could be considered their friends too. The little fairy accepts her gifts with surprisingly calm grace. Noticing the extra acorn tucked in there, she looks up at the Treant with big eyes of endearment. “Will do.” Navi nods, zips up, plants a soft kiss against the Treant’s cheek. “Thank you, friend.” She hoped to run into them again. Then with a smile and a wave, she flutters off back down to the others.
”You wanna fly high?!” Navi hovers between Flynn and Faelen, dangling dust before them in hand.
Faelan was about to start hopping again to the closest carnival hand that he knew, when he hears Navi pout. "Yeah, sure thing. Sticking togedah might be a better idea." Before he can finish, he can tell that Navi has already shifted her attention. He turns to the conversation between Zeg and Red. "Waita minute. Hey Red, you know the pig mask wearing girl?" He asks the squirrel.
Faelan approaches and whispers to Navi as she's talking with Northwind. "Actually, Mr. Witch and Mr. Light are Shadar-Kais." He shrugs. "Ah just didn't think much of it before." At the prospect of flying. "Ah'm gonna pass on flyin'. Ah like to fly on my own two legs." Faelan winks at Navi.
