I don’t look at Aydrik as we speak, but I focus on the Doctor talking. “If you haven’t noticed, the Doctor isn’t long for this world. As far as I see it, that was his own doing. Now I don’t want to see him die, but if this mission falls through or we run out of time, it would be nice to have a little sweetener on retainer. A job like this unfinished pays nothing. Besides, I don’t want to gamble my own money away. That’s just silly.”
"If this mission falls through, you think the "Baron" will just let us walk away?" asks Aydrik, still quiet.
"Ah, well, 'Ammom.' I won't stop you, because I'm sure there's a reason why the Doctor would hire a thief like you. But if I catch you stealing from me, which would be easy if you display the same clumsiness as you just did, well..."
Aydrik grins toothily as he holds up his hand, which crackles with energy for just a second.
”I agree. Probably not my best work, but look around. No one seems to be paying much attention. Best save my good stuff when it’s warranted.” I try to steal a small item unnoticed off the warlock and give it back to him.
Slght of hand: 21
”I wouldn’t bother taking your items yet anyways. You could still be of some use to the group.“
Runa nods at Zotar and the others as they speak. Glancing to where Aydrik and Ammom are having their little “discussion,” Runa says, “And your brother over there… Is he going to be a problem? People who don’t understand that there’s a time to exercise their special talents and a time to keep their hands to themselves, they tend to wind up being liabilities.”
Raising her voice and directing her next words to the gnomish foreman of the workshop, Runa loudly adds, “Hey, Fizzworth? You might want to pay more attention to visitors. Not everyone who sets foot across your threshold is bound to be trustworthy. Never know when some of those shinies scattered around might fall into some unsuspecting pocket.”
As Runa speaks to Fizzworth, she stares directly at Ammom and smiles pleasantly.
Passive Perception of 11 vs the first sleight of hand. I doubt she's standing close enough to have noticed the second exchange.
Zotar looks over to his brother to find out what Runa was talking about, from her context he figure Ammom had been stealing, but he had been so caught up in Runa...or the conversation, that he hadn't noticed. "I am sure if my exercises his talents it will only be for the good of our combined mission, as should we all I suspect" Zotar says with an uneasy smile.
I’ll take notice of Runa getting talkative with Zotar. I look at Runa with a scowl. It must be amateur hour around here today, I think to myself. I hope the others can learn to keep quiet real quick or were going to end up dead.
“Yeah yeah demon worshiper. Nothing I haven’t heard from your type before.” I blow off Aydrik’s threat before following the group out as we leave toward the POT.
Aydrik watches Ammom go, annoyed by the halfling's antics and confused by his parting words. He didn't think anyone in the group knew of his patron, who certainly isn't a demon.
Probably just more lying talk,Aydrik thinks as he follows the others out.
Sarro grows impatient with the goings on around him. "Perhaps it is time we plan out a scouting mission. I'm afraid the dangers of social functions were not part of my training so I will defer to those more wise in the ways of this battle as to what we do. I can be quite sneaky when I have a mind to."
Seeing that no one is exiting the building Thurston enters, just crossing the doorstep and ask
"Runa, what's going on? Why don't you go out? Come on you lot!" he says to the others "We should be going by now! Don't make me go there and make you start moving lazy asses!!" without waiting for an answer he walks out again. This time, though, he will wait just outside the door at the right of it and will keep his hammer visible so the others find him there, staring at them as they exit the workshop.
Outside the shop a man approaches. "I am called Karl." He leads a line of horses. "The horses are fresh. Water skins and rations are loaded. I'll guide you to the Baron's compound. We must go now." As you begin to ride out Karl smiles at Runa with a mouth missing half of it's teeth. He turns to Diangar. "Padrino, is this lady betrothed?"

“Untwist your britches, little brother.” Runa strolls outside and stops beside Thurston and Diangar. As she calls Thurston “little brother,” she reaches up and gives his nose a friendly tweak.
Runa joins the others as they begin mounting the horses, picking out a bay mare with a lively twinkle in its eyes for herself. As they ride out, hooves clopping the ground and horses swaying as they walk, Runa places herself near her brother and Diangar, so she easily hears Karl's question to Diangar.
Barely sparing a glance for Karl and without any particular emotional inflection to her voice, Runa replies, “Not betrothed, not looking, and not interested. Also fully capable of speaking for myself.”
Runa aims a friendly smile and a wink at Diangar. “Not that I don’t think you’d have done a fine job of defending my honor, of course.”
She then addresses Karl as if he’s just a regular person and not some creep who either thinks she’s property or thinks he’s flirting. She returns his question with one of her own. “So, how far away is this compound?”

Thurston
As they ride and Runa puts that Karl character in place he puts himself at Karl’s side and shove his horse into his. Not to provoke an accident but just enough to push him a little. When he looks at him he says.
” And with a family behind of her. Be unrespectful again and the Dr. will have to hire another stable boy.”

"She is not, and I think that is not how to address a lady. A 'How are you?' or a even a 'Hello.' would be sufficient. And like she said, she is rather focused at the task at hand. Which you should be doing while you are on the clock." He says being polite as possible.
Diangar gets on his horse and trots between Runa and Thurston. He picks up the bag that Dr. Omzig gave him, and takes one of the mice out. He examines one of the clockwork mice.
I walk down the line of horses, several feet taller than myself. I reach the end of the line. “Karl ol’ buddy. Not to be ungrateful, but how exactly do you expect me or my brother to ride such a large beast? I mean a pack mule maybe, or better yet, do you have a couple of well trained mastiffs? I’ve experience on dogs my good sir.” I will say anything to Karl to get a more acceptable steed for me and my brother.
After aquiring a dog or if I’m stuck to a horse, I want to notice Diangar. I want in that bag. Must be something special coming from the Doctor. “Hows about you pass one of those over here? I know my way around clockworks and that seems to be what the Doctor gave you. No offense, but you don’t seem too aquatinted with such technology.”
