Krizira nods. "I think we should continue on as well. And you're probably right Xarian, likely more to come. We just need to be cautious. Orlan advised we give up information if needed to keep ourselves alive. But we do need to look a bit deeper into this."
"Right, it is dangerous. Yet maybe we have an advantage here - in that who or whatever is further to the north might not expect us to be able to traverse this nest, and we could get the drop on them. Shall we go? I'm not much for stealth in my armor, so I should stay behind whoever leads."
Richter gives a slow nod, "there's more to find out here." After experimentally stretching to make sure the wounds don't pull open again, he nods again. "I'm good to go further."
((For those who intend to sneak forward, go ahead and roll Stealth + Perception checks. If you're staying back, lemme know how far back you intend to be.))
Xarian stays about 25' behind, trying to be far enough back so that the clanking of his armor is not audible, but close enough that he could rush to the front without having to dash. If he thinks that is too close to avoid ruining the others' Stealth (like by stepping on something), then he stays a bit further back.
As he positions himself, he glances around at the side passages that the bony abominations had come from, trying to note anything unusual about them (other than the flesh-skin covering everything), and of course whether anything is moving or audible along those side tunnels.
Unfortunately, there are too many tunnels and the grotesqueness of the situation is too much for Xarian to notice much. Perception: 5
Still aching from his recently healed wounds, Richter advances slowly and quietly with Krizira. He keeps his eyes peeled for sudden movements or things out of their environment, and strains his hearing.
Your party creeps forward through the tunnel at the northeastern edge of the cavern. As Xariantries to get a decent look down the small tunnels the horde of creatures came out, he doesn't spot much of note. The fleshy material that lines the walls seems to pulsing - almost alive.
The tunnel continues on for a few hundred feet, slightly sloping downwards again. The rock underneath your feet becomes soft, and you realize that you're now stepping on that same flesh-like material from the previous cavern. As you continue further, it lines the walls and ceiling too - so much that you can no longer see the rock underneath.
Further in you can continue no more, as the tannish flesh spirals from the ceiling, walls, and floor to form a sphincter-like gate.
"This doesn't look good at all," Krizira says as they reach the point where they can no longer continue. "It just seems like we're walking into... whatever all this is." She waves her hand at the flesh-like material.
"I've never seen anything like this," Richter breathes, stepping forward towards the fleshy barrier. He gets close but does not touch, putting the magic lenses over his eyes as he searches for a way to open it.
The voice screaming inside Xarian's head is becoming louder. He struggles to push it down, not entirely succeeding. His gorge rises.
"I... I think we should turn back and explore the other two passageways near the start of this cave. Whatever this is... is beyond us. Almost as if this vile fleshy passage... birthed those bony abominations." He shudders again.
Krizira nods. "I think we should continue on as well. And you're probably right Xarian, likely more to come. We just need to be cautious. Orlan advised we give up information if needed to keep ourselves alive. But we do need to look a bit deeper into this."

Krizira will move forward with those that want to try to move stealthily ahead. (Stealth: 20, Perception: 8)

"Yea, I think you might be right Xarian," Krizira says. She does wait though to see what Richter might see with his enhanced investigation.
