"I think this Slaanesh altar needs... a generous offering!" Khessa snorts, perceiving the magic that it emanates. She, as she had already done at the secret base Zemoch, suddenly causes a very heavy block of platinum to appear above the altar. Falling on the altar, the block probably pulverizes it...
If by chance there are still emanations of magic in the room, the blonde arcane warrior tries to eliminate them completely with one of her Abjurations.
Once the altar and magic have ceased to be a problem, the tall adventuress announces: "It should now be safe to examine the place... I take a look at the other door... I thought I heard faint sounds moans from there..." and with this she goes to open the door to the right.
Impatient to help whoever might be there behind her, if she finds her closed Khessa this time doesn't beat Tyekanik, but tries to knock her down directly with a kick.
Ther arcane symbols and circle on the floor flash when the alter is crushed into dust, then flash out. The dagger is still emitting magic, a slight purple glow around the edge of the blade.
If the door is closed, Khessa's Atheltics to bash it down is: 31
The door smashes in, and huddle in the corner is a young girl, showing visible signs of torture and abuse. She is curled up, holding her knees tightly to her chest, rocking back and forth. Her head is down, her long hair covering her legs, the light sobs coming from her.
Khessa slowly approaches the poor girl and tries to console her, hugging her tenderly: "It's over, dear, it's all over... Whatever you endured, you are safe now. Come on, let the Lord Marshall take care of you... We'll have you healed, fed, washed... You'll be safe now, all will be well".
"What's your name, by the way?" the blonde arcane warrior asks "I'm Khessa, Khessa Cabbagefield".
The girl slowly looks up, and as her hair parts so you can see her face, her eyes are glowing purple. The difference, its her voice you here when she speaks in a quivering tone. "My, my name is Alexia, Alexia Strongborn. I don't feel good. They did something to me, it hurts all over on the inside, and on my outside."
What little of her clothes remain, you can see that a sharp object, perhaps a knife, carved arcane symbols in her skin, though they do not glow in any fashion. She also shows wounds and injuries of being whipped, and abused.
"That pig of a man, he wanted me to be a "play-thing," a gift and vessel for something called slaanesh. They tried some kind of magic, him and some others who beat and tortured me on that alter in the other room. It was he who used that black knife to carve these ugly symbols on me, and they glowed when he did. But when he tried to do the rest of the spell I guess, something went wrong. I felt a presence, an energy start to fill me, but something caused it to stop. Now something is trapped in me and it hurts. Please, make it stop!"
Khessa is horrified by what she hears, but encouragingly pats the ex-prisoner on the shoulder: "Evidently you were too good for those scoundrels, Alexia! They underestimated you. We will help you; I don't know what they did to you, but we will send away the presence that is hurting you".
The blonde arcane warrior immediately shields the girl from foreign influences, although she fears this can do little, since the 'presence' is already inside. However, she is afraid that in this case divine magic may be more effective than arcane one... she immediately summarizes what happened to her friends and asks: "Perhaps a sort of exorcism is necessary... a spell which, however, unfortunately, I do not master. Sparhawk, Maynard, Master Akkron... it comes to you Think of anything we can try?”
"Perhaps," the tall adventuress gazes hopefully into her blue eyes into the empty cavities of her undead mentor "some powerful angel could help her... Can you 'knock on heaven's door', Master Akkron? To open a connection between our dimension and an Upper Plane?"
Khessa anyway, while waiting for better advice, ritual-casts also Identify to find out if Alexia is affected by spells and which ones (apart from the Protection From Evil And Good cast by Khessa itself, of course).
(Both Sparhawk and Maynard are still away with the churchman). The lord marshal recognizes the girl. "That is Lord Strongborn's daughter. Makes sense in a sick wave, he was the competition with this monster when it came to trade. Is there anything you can do for her, or do we have to kill her for her as well as our own good?"
As you try to sense what happened, from your own arcane knowledge, it appears to be a summoning/possession spell gone wrong. It was done sloppily, from her description of the incantation, sometime during the final phase where the summoning and the joining process of the demonic element was not completed.
From what is found in the small temple, you can gather clues from the wreckage of the alter and the arcane symbols on the floor, it was done by an amateur. The leather-bound book is basically the "bible of slaanesh," where the sadistic rituals are listed, to include what possibly had been the summoning spell being used. The scroll has a list of names written in blood, similar to a devil's contract. When showed to the marshal, his face turns to a dark thunderhead.
"I know these names, low-level members of my court, merchants, and less than desirable members of our society. I'll have my men round them up so we can see if this is a small incident, or one that is growing."
You recognize the black-bladed knife, it is made of the same black material you have found in the temple, and in the hard-core Zemochs.
[[ OOC: So, as Khessa thought, if this is a form of possession, a banishing spell is needed... That's why she was hoping for holy help ]]
"Alexia will be saved, Lord Marshall" Khessa states. And she awaits to see if Lord Akkron can do something (either using for exemple, a Gate to get holy help, or a Wish - spell that might as well suffice by itself to banish the possessor, if used to duplicate the spell we need) or if the most powerful cleric available must be called.
The lich is somewhat reluctant to approach the traumatized girl... he's not sure that seeing a powerful undead will be especially good for her mental state at the moment. But hearing that... something... has partially possessed her, he sighs and kneels next to her.
"This would normally be the domain of Clerics," he says. "But... I think that the situation is dire enough to warrant the use of a wish to save her."
Gently, he lays a mummified hand on her back... the lich's touch is cold, but he tells her softly that he only wants to help. He pronounces his wish to replicate the spell dispel evil and good, ordering the corrupted spirit to begone from the innocent girl.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Khessa gives Alexia a confidence-inspiring look as she recognizes the spell her mentor is casting - the most powerful mortals are allowed to master!
The blonde arcane warrior has no doubts that this is completely enough to get rid of a poorly accomplished possession and she can't wait to see some relief come to the face of the poor girl who has already suffered so much...

As the powerful spell is released, you do hear what sounds like faint flute playing way off in the distance. The room suddenly darkens, and the girl arcs her back and screams before a purplish smoke rises from her mouth and is projected into the ceiling. It twirls and circles for a small bit, but the sound of the flute reaches a crescendo, and the smoke begins to shrink until you hear a "pop." The girl collapses to the ground unconscious, all of the arcane symbols and scars from her ordeal have healed.
"Well done!" Khessa pats her undead mentor gently on the shoulder "Not even a goddes could have done better!" and she winks in the general direction from which the now familiar (and welcome) flute sound had seemed to come.
"She will be alright," he says, rising to his feet with some effort, slightly shaken from the intense power that he just used. "Let's get her out of here... I think that taking some time to rest will be the best thing for her rapid recovery."

Khessa gently lifts the healed girl into her arms and agrees: "Of course! We'll take her back to her family right away! Who knows how much they were worried about her!"
"Just a couple of things, though, before the Cultists-wannabe can notice something..." the blonde arcane warrior doesn't want to let them escape "First of all, the black-bladed knife, is made of the same black material we have found in the temple and in the hard-core Zemochs! Alfred better put it safely in our lead container" (and she sends the Shield Guardian to do exactly that). "Then, we still have this last door to inspect..." she nods to the only one that hasn't yet been opened down there.
[[ OOC: The opposite one to Alexia's, I think? ]]
The tall adventuress, having her hands occupied with her, places her blue eyes on Tyekanik and asks: "Would you take care of the last door? We might as well enjoy all the beauties of this place before leaving it..."
Sparhawk, Maynard and the Churchman arrive. "I see we missed all the fun," Sparhawk commented. The lord marshal looked at him, "Oh no my friend, it's just beginning. We have the names of the co-cultists, and my men are as we speak sealing the keep and rounding them up."
"Don't worry, Sparhawk!" Khessa greets the heroic Pandion jovially "As you can see, I have my hands full... you still have time to have fun opening the last door! We could find some nice surprises for you and Maynard too!"
Sparhawk "helps" to open the other door, kicking it in. The room is a storeroom for the temple. It has dark purple robes hanging from hooks, a small bookshelf that has some books on it, a shelf with spare purple candles, chalk for drawing arcane symbols, a small black orb on another shelf, three sets of manacles hanging on pegs on another wall, along with more implements of torture.
There is a small writing desk in a corner, two lanterns that are not lit stand on it. It has parchment, ink and quill, sealing wax and a signet ring.
There is a small chest that when is opened, has gold, silver, jewelry and some gems mixed in. A medium size chest that when opened appears to have regular clothing and personal belongings stored in it, mostly of women's clothing.
Khessa is eager to return Alexia to her family, but she thinks the small writing desk could be interesting... there could be letters written but not yet sent there... and wax and a signet ring could be useful for possibly forging messages of the cult of Slaanesh...
"Mal..." the blonde arcane warrior turns to her half-drow friend for a moment "Don't you think the desk in the corner looks rather interesting?"

The door crashes open into once was a very large wine cellar. You get a strong smell of death, and decay from it. There what appears to be a male and five females that have been locked inside. The male turns, and it smiles, revealing his fangs. "Well now, look who came to dinner!"
