Lady Arin stands and leans against the wall for support as she waits for the group to traverse the bridge across the chasm. She has been walking on her own, but is clearly exhausted. You have had to move a bit slower to accommodate her condition.
Suggest sending Gneuman across now with rope to make sure it works like before.
Assuming successful...
"Lady Arin, perhaps it's best for you to have the rope tied to you as you cross? We don't want to take any chances with your safety. In addition, I offer an arm or shoulder to assist in your crossing if it would make you more comfortable."
The process of fitting a rope to individual crossers, excepting Chadwick and Lady Arin crossing together, is successful. All are across the bridge now.
(For the record, there was no issue with dwarven pride. The issues was one of incredulity with respect to game mechanics because Hoid should have been most likely to avoid being overpowered by the stench, yet he was the only one who was overpowered. I had forgotten about that incident.)
Hoid, “The mechabeholder was not aggressive, and the journey to it is not arduous. I suggest we present ourselves and the Lady to determine whether we can receive some aid or passage. Although I am confident we could get out of the Fight Club, we should first determine if there is an easier path.”
Chadwick and Trolkarl could go topside, ask why the hell Grak never showed up to talk to us about the bout (I know we never set it up... but this would all be a ruse to cause confusion as to why we are walking around down here). Make a bit of a scene, and the rest of the crew can try to just walk out during the distraction.
I'm not against a long rest. It might be midday when we would try to leave then... which means it is either simple to walk out or any bs story we attempt to use for deceit goes out the window.
Also... Im not sure we saw another way in for the cultists, unless they are leaving from lawful neutral land, which seems very unlikely. Arin was seen being brought into the club. Hopefully, the cultists/Deven were just paying off the staff for access and are not actually aligned.
"Lady Arin, when they brought you down here was it by this spiral staircase? If so after the staircase did you go the path we just came, or a different route?"
Pauses for a response, then adds.
"We know of a carven that should provide us an opportunity to rest and recover our spells and abilities. Given what you have been through it is understandable that you want to be as far away from this place as soon as possible, however there is a good chance we may have to fight our way out of here once we go topside, so we would prefer to be at full strength.
If they are aligned or being paid off, perhaps we could use the insignia to pose as cultists. The cultists, Duren and the orc guards all wore an emblem of a four armed “octopus.

Trolkarl does now after the short rest
Starker would be loath to use the L2 slot, but he does have it after using arcane recovery during the short (as it turned out) rest.
Trolkal is happy to misty step over if that is preferable
Sounds like a better plan.
Trolkarl uses Misty Step and crosses the chasm.

Winking at Hoid, then looking at Lady Arin
The next stretch is pretty foul. A couple of dead ogres ahead. It is enough to turn the stomach of even the strongest of us.
We are going to want to get past this bit quickly.
Moved party across.
Knowing how touchy dwarf pride can be Chadwick does his best not to react to Trolkarl's comment and wink to Hoid.
He does keep a close eye on Lady Arin in case she reacts poorly, or needs to halt for a rest during the march back to the spiral staircase.
Gneuman suggests that he and Ajax scout ahead some distance at a must faster rate. A route recon, if you will.

The trip back to the stairs is uneventful. Lady Arin recalls the ogres and their filth. She readies herself and you all pass without incident.
What are your plans now that you are gathered at the base of the spiral stairs? Feel like trying your luck with the mechabeholder?
Starker:”The Lady is looking like someone who needs a long rest before we confront an establishment full of fighters and guards. “
Hoid, “The mechabeholder was not aggressive, and the journey to it is not arduous. I suggest we present ourselves and the Lady to determine whether we can receive some aid or passage. Although I am confident we could get out of the Fight Club, we should first determine if there is an easier path.”
Starker:”I also wonder if those huge ogres were likely to have entered through the secret door we came through.”

Unlikely. Guards and cultists (or someone down here) had similar symbology on their outfits.

The choice is yours."
