As you stand outside the Bibliopole you see the chiseled marble steps that lead up to the doors at the entrance of the hall, you marvel at the size of these massive double doors with their wonderfully intricate handles carved in the likeness of robed scholars. The pushed opened doors beckon for you to enter.
Majestic marble archways, tomes seemingly stacked for miles, and the infectious energy of hundreds of young adults fill the Biblioplex, the grand library at the heart of Strixhaven University. The sights, sounds, and sparks of magic in the air are wondrous.
Your acceptance letter stated that you must report to the Biblioplex’s Hall of Oracles to receive instructions on new-student orientation. The 50 foot tall hall sits at the center of the Biblioplex’s first floor, and you can already see students gathering there.
I would like all of your characters to describe how they got here
Drix has managed to blend into the crowd of students swarming around the Biblioplex almost perfectly. He looks at the magic surrounding him and a brief smile pulls at his lips. He is well-dressed, but his clothes aren't flashy or bright, and he appears to be human. There is also no sign of anything that could have brought him to Strixhaven.
Drix seems to be almost too comfortable as he makes careful steps towards the massive building. His eyes seem to glow as he walks into the Biblioplex. He has finally arrived at his new home.
Neidra looks around at the crowds of students milling about her, unsure what exactly to do. She felt so very alone even she was virtually surrounded on all sides by fellow students. She pulls her clipboard up to her chest and squeezes in an a tight hug, similar to the way one would tightly hold and hug a teddy bear for comfort. She had been standing in the same spot just inside the entryway for about five minutes, too nervous to head deeper into the magnificent library. She wanted to go in, but there were so many people! She noticed a few people looking at her oddly, so she forced her gaze to the ground in front of her, a deep blush spreading across her cheeks. She wished one of her family's servants had stayed behind to accompany her, but soon after arriving at one of Strixhaven's teleportation circles, he had headed off with all her baggage to her dormitory to drop it off for her. Effectually, she was stranded in the entry foyer, left to fend for herself.
For those that notice Neidra standing awkwardly near the entrance, they can tell she is obviously anxious and unsure about the situation. Neidra has blondish hair cut at about shoulder length, and a few small braids intertwine with her otherwise plain hair. Her olive-green eyes are framed by large-rimmed glasses, adding to her mousy look. Slight of frame, she stands at about five and half feet tall, though she is currently slouching a bit in an attempt to avoid drawing attention to herself. Like the other first year students, she wears the simple black, gray, and white robes that mark her as a new student of Strixhaven. Clutched in her pale hands is a simple wooden clipboard with a few sheets of parchment clipped to it, and her hands tremble slightly from the force of her vice-like grip on the small wooden board. Head still bowed slightly, she looks up, scanning the room for a friendly face...
Yvas rides onto the school grounds on a white stallion, walking up to the bibliopole. He walks silently towards the Hall of Oracles, images flashing in his eyes and he walks, clutching a single rose petal in his hand. "There are two great tragedies in life: Not getting what you want, and getting it. One must be careful, as life can only be understood backward and live forwards. But one must respect this flame, for a thousand candles can be lit with one. Every man is a fool at one part of the day, and wisdom will keep that time short. It is wisdom that brings us here, the first step of our journey." He blows the rose petal into the wind, watching it fly into the depths of the horizon.
Theodore looked at the stream of students and families giving each other last minute advice or parting hugs. There was a tinge of envy in his heart, he never did know his mother very well, and his father was as good as non-existent. Shaking away any feeling before they got a hold of him he walked up the steps trying to blend in with the flow. He came upon an island in the movement of bodies. A girl just standing there holding a book or something. Wierdo.
He continued on, taking in the sights of the magnificent building, then turned back. Maybe she's feeling the same kind of thing he was. This whole idea was a bit overwhelming. The Keys had a saying "Be quiet, be thoughtful, be wary." His thoughts were interrupted by a white horse prancing up the steps. Yeah, that is the opposite of quiet he chuckled.
Again trying to blend in, he followed the cues to go where the new students were all bound.
Making his way through the crowd, a young man gazes on the magnificent architecture of the Biblioplex with a gasp. He’s very unassuming at first glance - average height with a lean build, brown hair, and sky blue eyes.
Kierro spots the white horse walking its way through the crowd, unable to take his eyes off the curious sight at first. But he shakes it off and continues onward. He wears a gentle smile, and greets those nearest him with a polite ‘hello!’.
He sees a woman in the middle of the crowd, seemingly alone. Waving to her, he smiles reassuringly and motions with his head to follow into the hall.

OOC: so sorry! I had a lot fo stuff to do. but now, I am back and ready to roll.
A dark shadow passes overhead, its huge shape blocking out the sun. as various students turn their faces skyward, a Dragon descends, its silver scales shining in the light. with great flaps of its mighty wings, it lowers itself outside the Biblioplex. atop the dragon's crested head sits a kobold. a very small, very shiny kobold. shouting ecstatically, the kobold leaps up & slides down the dragons neck. landing on the ground with a resounding "THUNK". looking around in awe, Velius starts speaking a mile a minute to the dragon, his arms a whir as he points to 500 different things. eventually, the dragon raises a claw.
"that is enough for now, Velius, go to orientation, and DO NOT forget your mission" the dragon intones.
"yespapa!Thankspapa!i'msoexctited!BYE!" Velius sprints toward the Biblioplex, shoving people out of the way, worming his way through the crowd. with a worried look, the dragon departs, his great wings once again lifting him away, back towards his palace of marble. as Velius moves through the crowd, he spots Yvas's horse. He beelines for the horse, pulls a carrot out of his pocket, and offers it to the horse. (animal handling: 4) "Can I pet your horse?" Velius asks Yvas.

At the sound of the magical voice, Neidra somehow manages to muster up enough courage to begin walking towards Hall of Oracles. Once the voice starts speaking again, she looks up in awe at the swirling energies in the center of the room. "So this is the Strixhaven snarl," she mutters quietly. She had always wanted to see it, but it was much more beautiful than she thought it would be. Enraptured by its elegant beauty, she almost doesn't realize its giving out clues for some sort of task. When she finally notices, she lets out a small gasp and starts furiously scribbling down the proffered clues as she mentally scolds herself for not paying attention. Once she has them all written down, she scans her list, pondering what they could mean.
Theodore glances over the paper and immediately looks for and grabs the newly arrived kobold, "Come on come on, let's go! I'm Theodore by the way,...hold on..." He pulls the kobold along scanning "You're my new best friend, along with..." He looks around trying to find the notebook girl.

Neidra is shocked out of her ruminating at the sudden appearance of a talking rabbit man and a spaztastic kobold. Blinking, she looks down at the proffered hand, looking a bit confused. "Um," she starts tentatively in her mousy voice, "is there something wrong with your hand?" It takes her a moment to realize that he had extended his hand out in greeting. Blushing furiously at her idiocy, she reaches out and shakes his proffered hand. "Sorry about that," she mutters. "I'm not the best when it comes to people."
Once she finishes shaking the hand in what she hopes is a normal amount of time, she reaches up and tucks a few strands of hair behind her ear as she says, "My name's Neidra, and I agree about the whole group thing."
As Kierro joins the group, she takes a few steps to the side to make room for him. She recognized him as the guy who smiled at her earlier.
As the group ponders where to go first, Neidra looks down at her clipboard. "Well," she begins slowly, "I think the first clue has something to due with the snarl in here. Maybe we should just look around in here first?"
Theodore shakes Kierro's hand and points towards the big light. "The first clue says step towards the light. That thing is the biggest light around. Come on, let's get closer..." he tries to lead the way towards the light.
"I don't know about the ensnarl part...now that we're here, what do you think?"
Theodore hopes somebody has an idea.
