Though frustrated that he can't see the trogs anymore and get back into the battle, Theldrin shrugs and nods in reply to Xanrym. He moves up to where the dart fell that was thrown at Xanrym and picks it up, being careful of the poisoned tip, then moves back to his position at the back of the group.

Xanrym appreciates Avery for bearing the brunt of the troglodyte's onslaught, but he's not sure how much longer the man can last. Xanrym loads a bolt into his crossbow and fires it at the troglodyte in front of Avery. He asks, "These narrow tunnels may prevent us from getting overrun by a mob, but they don't leave us much room to maneuver. Theldrin, still no one sneaking up on us from behind?"

If I was not right about Avery's current HP, and he's already unconscious, then Xanrym casts a twinned healing word on Avery and Liarin.
Xanrym shouts up to Avery, "Leave the shrieking mushroom alone! If we can push forward past these malodorous lizardmen, it'll be a good rear guard for us!"
In it's last breathes, the Trog is fighting like a caged animal, slipping past attacks and striking at Avery:

The Shrieker goes on. Now that Avery has moved further into the tunnel to engage the last Trog, you can all fit in the elbow of the bend. So you all have line of site on the Trog.
Xanrym once fires his crossbow at the remaining troglodyte. Then he squeezes past Theldrin and picks up his lantern, ready to take his spot at the rear of the group in case the shrieker has called any new opponents down the stairs behind them.

All of these Trogs are looking very beat, but they are still fighting to the last, they clearly have nowhere to run to.
