Xanrym stays back at the door into the room and aims his crossbow at one of the skeletons. He readies an attack to fire at the skeleton if he sees it move at all. He lets Liarin-Wolf and Avery enter the room first to get to the other exit (if there's another door other than the one that they entered) or to search the room.
(OOC: I posted that before we saw the map. Normally, I'd say that Xanrym would probably target the one closest to him and Avery, but I don't want to step on Avery's awesome bone-shattering hit! Can we say that Xanrym was eager to get out of the room and was looking toward the two doors? That way, he would have attacked the skeleton on the south closest to Liarin or, if Liarin-Wolf was in the way, the "middle" skeleton between the two doors on the south side of the room.)

Unsure of whether vicious mockery would work against an animated skeleton, Xanrym loads another bolt in his crossbow. As an arrow streaks past him, he exclaims to Theldrin, "Yikes! Archer skeletons! Maybe bring over one of those benches so that we can get some cover?"
Movement: None Action: Attack the skeleton in the "middle" of the formation, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 22, Damage: 5 Free Action: Talking, Item Interaction - loading crossbow
Theldrin is eager to attack again but the arrow in his thigh brings Xanrym's suggestion to a painful point in his mind. He moves over and tips the bench on its side making room for Xanrym as he attempts to take cover.
The skeleton's reflexes from it's previous life kicks in as it faints back from your sword strike.
This time the middle skeleton turns on Avery, so he'll bear the brunt of two sword swipes. While the archers in the back continue their assault against Xanrym and Theldrin.
Skeleton Shortsword against Avery Attack: 17 Damage: 6 Piercing
Skeleton Shortsword against Avery Attack: 12 Damage: 4 Piercing
Skeleton Shortsword against Liarin Attack: 12 Damage: 8 Piercing
Skeleton Shortbow against Xanrym Attack: 19 Damage: 7 Piercing
Skeleton Shortbow against Theldrin Attack: 16 Damage: 3 Piercing
You all are up, the skeletons come on with no sign of fear or tactics. Just a faint memory to death.
(OOC: I'm assuming Xanrym was behind cover last round. If not, he was hit by the arrow.)
Xanrym is glad that Theldrin brought over the bench as an arrow thunks into the bench instead of hitting him in the torso. He tries to make a light-hearted remark to keep from panicking: "Would that I were such a great archer that my aim could be so true even after I die!" He continues using his crossbow, focusing on the "middle" skeleton that he hit last time.
Movement: Stand up (15' movement) and then drop prone behind the bench again after he fires his crossbow. Action: Attack the skeleton in the "middle" of the formation, Crossbow, Light (80/320): 25, Damage: 12 Free Action: Talking, Item Interaction - loading crossbow
Theldrin grins as he hears the arrows hit the bench, then gives Xanrym a nod. Taking a deep breath he stands up long enough to shoot a Fire Bolt at the closest skeleton attacking Avery before ducking back down behind the bench.
Avery hacks into the skeleton, but the structure of its body remains precariously intact. It attacks Avery, while the other two skeletons drop their bows, pull out their swords and rush Liarin. Clearly whatever sense they retain from their last life tells them they will do no more good trying to hit the two behind the table:
Shortsword against Avery Attack: 15 Damage: 4 Piercing.
Shortsword against Liarin Attack: 16 Damage: 3 Piercing.
Shortsword against Liarin Attack: 10 Damage: 3 Piercing.
You all are up. The sound of battle emanating all around you and through the corridors.
Now the skeletons have dropped their bows, Xanrym stands up. He remarks to Theldrin, "It's a wonder that the sound of battle hasn't drawn more guards and acolytes."
The skeleton by Avery is partially hidden behind the fighter, but now that there are fewer foes, Xanrym decides to risk vicious mockery. He's not sure whether there's enough of an animating spirit in these skeletons for the spell to work. He gives it a try anyway, saying, "You achieved nothing in life, and you'll achieve nothing in death, you bag-o'-bones!"
Movement: Stand up (15' movement) but hold his position. Action: Cast spell Vicious Mockery on the skeleton attacking Avery, WIS 13 save or target takes 2 psychic damage and has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn. One target within 60 ft range. Free Action: Talking

Liarin and Xanrym's skeletons drop like flies, and the one fighting Avery takes a firebolt to the chest.
Avery is up, the skeletons are being killed all around you.
